HOLY Shape Up!!! I am so thrilled that you’re as excited as I am for the challenge. Thank you so much to those of you who have already signed up! Keep an eye on your email for the password + all of the Shape Up details. You have until Friday to sign up if you haven’t already.

Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:

Oatie dough 1 of 1 2

(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)

sautรฉed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon

Zucchini 1 of 1 4

and some Paleo breadย for us to enjoy this week.

Paleo bread 1 of 1 4

The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.

In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.

Closet 1 of 1

I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.

Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!

It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.

I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:

my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts

Shirt1

(still have that shirt, 3 years later)

and anything with soft Pima cotton.

Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.

Tee 1 of 1

They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!

I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.

One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:

Tee 1 of 1 2

(the short sleeve V neckย and love fit tee)

All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.

I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.

Enjoy your night!

xoxo

Gina

My favorite t-shirt is my “make mine black” since I LOVE big black dogs and do rescue….though I rescue them all, I am partial to the ones that are most highly euthanized:)

  2. Allison on May 28, 2013 at 5:34 pm

Got a stack of old t-shirts I don’t wear but can’t seem to throw out – too sentimental.

  3. Julie V. on May 28, 2013 at 5:35 pm

My favorite t-shirt was my hubby’s ratty old crew neck that says “slacker”. There’s something about the worn in softness and his scent that makes me never want to part with it!

  4. Melissa on May 28, 2013 at 5:35 pm

My favorite shirt is an old college shirt of my fiance’s, its so soft!

  5. Jennifer @ Food for Todd on May 28, 2013 at 5:36 pm

    Win, win.

My favorite shirt actually belongs to my husband. It’s a drab green Marine Corps t shirt that he got while he was at his MOS school in Ft Leonard Wood (Missouri). He was an MP and the yellow writing on the front surrounds an EGA (Eagle Globe and Anchor) and it reads “Marine Corps Detachment Fort Leonard Wood Missouri.”

I love this shirt. Matter of fact, I’m wearing it now on my way to my CrossFit WOD!

  9. Camee on May 28, 2013 at 5:37 pm

I have a ton of t-shirts from high school I haven’t thrown out. They all remind me of something! I love new t-shirts too!

  10. Kimi on May 28, 2013 at 5:38 pm

My favorite t-shirt is one of my dad’s old navy t-shirts. I’ll wear that till it falls off.

  11. Jennie on May 28, 2013 at 5:38 pm

MY go to shirts are ribbed tanks! Always needed for hot and humid Miami! These shirts are so cute and right up my alley!

  12. katie on May 28, 2013 at 5:38 pm

My favorite T is an adorable teal “I love Cupcakes” shirt from a cupcakery here in Sonoma County. It’s super cute and super comfy!

  13. Amanda Lee on May 28, 2013 at 5:39 pm

My favorite shirt varies day to day (and with the weather) but it tends to be striped.
When my husband is gone for work I steal his t-shirts and wear them too. ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Meaghen on May 28, 2013 at 5:39 pm

I find it hardest to get rid of sweatshirts…right now I’m wearing one I got in the seventh grade. Haha.

  15. Erica { EricaDHouse.com } on May 28, 2013 at 5:39 pm

“Crazy Cat Lady” organic cotton shirt I got off of Etsy this year!

  17. Jenni on May 28, 2013 at 5:40 pm

Two of my favorite t-shirts both belonged to an ex-boyfriend, haha! They’re super soft/thin band shirts. I still wear them to bed sometimes! (But just because they’re so damn comfy!)

  18. Megan on May 28, 2013 at 5:40 pm

I have an old t-shirt from playing HS volleyball that has the “braver than you believe” quote on it. I’ll never part with it. Ever.

  19. Jacqueline on May 28, 2013 at 5:41 pm

When I ran cross-country in high school I was one of the slowest people on the team, but once at a meet we were short a bunch of people and I got the chance to race varsity (longer distance and tougher competition). I didn’t win or anything, but was so proud of myself for finally getting to run a varsity race that I bought the shirt when we went to the regional championships at the end of the season. It used to be that cheap crunchy cotton, but I’ve worn it so many times it’s ridiculously soft now, and even the crew neck has stretched out to be perfectly comfortable. That’s not going anywhere anytime soon!

  20. Melissa on May 28, 2013 at 5:41 pm

My favorite shirt is the lululemon tank top I wore for my first half-marathon. It is just a plain white tank, but it will always be special to me. ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. Kiersten on May 28, 2013 at 5:41 pm

I’ve got a few grungy tees from my travels that I can never bring myself to throw away — especially a tiny one from Barcelona my sister got for me… pretty sure it’s a children’s size but I can still wear it to bed, right?!

  22. Laura B on May 28, 2013 at 5:42 pm

Those tshirts look great! I have a long-sleeve tshirt from my marching band days (shhhh don’t laugh) that I will never get rid of. It sits in the bottom of my pj drawer and is 15 years old with my jr high/high school nickname on the sleeve. Haven’t worn it in about 12 years, but I can’t part with it!

  23. Betsy on May 28, 2013 at 5:42 pm

My favorite t is a South Park shirt with Cartman on the front yelling “beefcake, beefcake, BEEFCAKE!”. it was the first gift my husband gave me while we were dating. He’s since become a more thoughtful gift giver ๐Ÿ˜‰

  24. Kate on May 28, 2013 at 5:42 pm

My favourite t shirt that I’ve been keeping my my closet for WAY too long is a Moosehead Beer shirt that says ‘The Party Has Arrived’ in big block letters on the front…nowadays I typically wear it for house lounging and cottaging but it always gets a comment out of someone! So funny!

  25. Avery on May 28, 2013 at 5:42 pm

I have some Old Navy Yoga pants purchased many, many years ago. They are so faded, they should never be brought out in public, but they are my go-to when i get home from a long day and just want to shower and lounge around the house.

  26. Rebecca @ Runner with an Appetite on May 28, 2013 at 5:42 pm

I have my t-ball shirt from when I was in 2nd grade and it still fits (clearly, it was huge on me then). I will neer be able to get rid of it since it’s such a fun memory!

  27. Abbie on May 28, 2013 at 5:42 pm

Looking forward to the Shape UP! (commenting here because I kept getting an error on the other post)

  28. Emily on May 28, 2013 at 5:44 pm

  30. Sara on May 28, 2013 at 5:44 pm

My husband gave me a tee shirt when we were dating and I was moving away from him. I wear it all the time!

  31. Lenore on May 28, 2013 at 5:44 pm

My favorite is one of my mom’s old work shirts. The cotton is so soft and is worn through in some spots. It’s a true blue burnout tee that took time to get there.

  32. Tonya on May 28, 2013 at 5:45 pm

My ginormous Texas Tech sweatshirt! It is the only item left over from my grad school days when I was 50+ pounds heavier but when I put it on I feel like I am in a giant warm blanket and I will never get rid of it.

  33. Jamie on May 28, 2013 at 5:45 pm

My favorite was my NYC marathon tshirt but I lost it (*sniff*). After that, it would be one of my dad’s old ‘Bama tshirts that I “borrowed.”

  34. Elizabeth on May 28, 2013 at 5:46 pm

My absolute favorite shirt is from the Cupids undies run I did this year. It was a mile run and such fun! It’s red, too big, and oh so comfy! I love it!

  35. Pinky on May 28, 2013 at 5:46 pm

My favorite tshirt used to be one of my fiance’s but after running and conquering the Tough Mudder he bought me a shirt that says “Remember, you signed a death waiver…Tough Mudder” and I wear it all the time. It’s bright neon green with orange writing, so you can bet I get a lot of funny looks when I wear it. Makes me feel tough ๐Ÿ™‚

  36. Ashley Figur on May 28, 2013 at 5:46 pm

I have 2 fave t-shirts. The first one is a junior high shirt that I have now had going on 15 years–which makes me feel old lol but I love it. The next one is my husbands shirt that has garfield on it that was passed down from his siblings and he has kept forever. Its soft and comfy, and has alot of sentimental value to it ๐Ÿ™‚

  37. Alicia F. on May 28, 2013 at 5:47 pm

I have so many tees that I can’t part with. One specifically would be a deployment shirt I made with a friend that says “Sailor’s Sweetheart.” <3

  38. TessaJ on May 28, 2013 at 5:47 pm

I love my husbands t-shirts or anything with a vintage feel! So soft.

I love my college logo t-shirts.

  40. Kate on May 28, 2013 at 5:47 pm

My favorite t-shirts are the Target boyfriend tees. They are v-necks and have a little pocket. They are so soft and comfortable – I keep buying more and more!

  41. Tanya on May 28, 2013 at 5:48 pm

I really like the love fitness t shirt!

As for my closest, I will always keep my school uniforms no matter what?! Odd, yes…

  42. sarah on May 28, 2013 at 5:49 pm

I got a t-shirt at a Lush event yeeeears ago( I was around 13 at the time I think). It says ‘ make a bee line to Lush’ on it, with a little picture of a bee . For some reason I’ve always loved it . Although it is getting pretty wrecked now, it’s so old.
    Xxx

  43. Becca on May 28, 2013 at 5:49 pm

I have a T-shirt from high school that I’m pretty sure doesn’t fit anymore, but will never get tossed out!

  44. Cindy S. on May 28, 2013 at 5:49 pm

I’ve never even worn my favorite t-shirt, it belongs to my husband’s. He got it on our honeymoon. It has Prince Charming on it and it says, “Sorry Ladies, I’m Taken”. I get all giddy when I see my husband wearing it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  45. Ashley on May 28, 2013 at 5:49 pm

I will always keep 1 tshirt from college. I just graduated this past December and for some reason I only have 1 shirt left.. looks like a keeper!

My favorite shirt was given to my husband by a friend. It’s a Napoleon Dynamite promo shirt that says, “freakin idiot, gosh!” It’s been washed so many times that it is soooo soft.

  49. michele on May 28, 2013 at 5:50 pm
