Thank you to everyone for entering! Stay tuned for Summer Shape Up giveaways starting next week!

HOLY Shape Up!!! I am so thrilled that you’re as excited as I am for the challenge. Thank you so much to those of you who have already signed up! Keep an eye on your email for the password + all of the Shape Up details. You have until Friday to sign up if you haven’t already.

Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:

Oatie dough 1 of 1 2

(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)

sautรฉed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon

Zucchini 1 of 1 4

and some Paleo breadย for us to enjoy this week.

Paleo bread 1 of 1 4

The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.

In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.

Closet 1 of 1

I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.

Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!

It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.

I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:

my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts

Shirt1

(still have that shirt, 3 years later)

and anything with soft Pima cotton.

Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.

Tee 1 of 1

They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!

I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.

One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:

Tee 1 of 1 2

(the short sleeve V neckย and love fit tee)

All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.

I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.

Enjoy your night!

xoxo

Gina

My favorite tshirt is from my first half marathon. I used to hate running, but with much determination and will power I became a “runner” and completed my first half marathon. Nothing compares to the satisfaction that comes with running through that finish line after 13.1 miles! Every time I wear it it reminds me of it!

I can’t seem to get rid of my old swim team t-shirt from my senior year. There are too many memories!

  3. aimee on May 28, 2013 at 10:28 pm

I can’t get rid of my dads old sweat shirt that he left at my house while helping with some renos. He asked if I’d seen it but I lied so that I can keep it and wear it on cold days. I love my poppa!!!

  5. Krystall on May 28, 2013 at 10:28 pm

I still have super old band tshirts that I can never get rid of! I also lounge around in old race tees.

The one piece of clothing I will keep forever is a Lakers tshirt given to me by my late father. I wore holes into it as a kid, and we jokingly called it “golden boy”, a la Seinfeld. It’s in a box in my closet now, and I’ll never get rid of it ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. stacey g on May 28, 2013 at 10:31 pm

I have a few dresses in my closet that I will probably never wear again, but have so many memories in.

  10. Melodie on May 28, 2013 at 10:33 pm

My favorite tee is an old college tee. Its now 14 years old. It’s the soft grey cotton material. And recently I’ve noticed a hole right in the middle of the chest. Obviously its only for lounging at home now. ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Meghan on May 28, 2013 at 10:33 pm

I can’t get rid of these shorts that I’ve literally worn since the 8th grade. I’m 20 now, if that helps paint a picture of how addicted to them I am. Just broke them out for this summer. They’re a little sad looking, but they fit so well!

  12. Jodie on May 28, 2013 at 10:35 pm

I used to have a t-shirt that said ‘I had a nightmare I was a brunette’, as a redhead I thought it was funny. Boy, I wore it out though and kept on wearing it! I love wearing hubby’s rugby jumpers in winter, so snuggly. These t-shirts would be much more publicly acceptable though!

  13. Kristen D on May 28, 2013 at 10:36 pm

I LOVE soft tees to sleep in. The shirt I got from the 5k I did on St Patricks Day is sooooooo soft and I sleep in it all the time! Wearing it right now ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. sarah on May 28, 2013 at 10:36 pm

I have a tee shirt that was my mom’s in college. i sleep in it almost nightly because it’s so darn soft. it’s finally about to fall apart- I can tell the pits aren’t going to hold up for my children to wear them in 20 years ๐Ÿ˜‰

  15. Veterinarianess on May 28, 2013 at 10:36 pm

My favorite tees are my fiance’s old junior high and high school track shirts. They just don’t make them like they used to!

  16. Gracie blaising on May 28, 2013 at 10:39 pm

Nothing beats my Cross Country/soccer tourni race shirts and some girls boxers!! Of course with my hair in the highest most unatractive bun that is!!

  17. Dee on May 28, 2013 at 10:42 pm

I will always keep my grandpa’s chambray shirt in my closet – it is too big of course but every time I see it, I am reminded of him!

  18. Liz on May 28, 2013 at 10:44 pm

My math class in high school made t-shirts two years in a row as a group project that I’ll probably keep forever, even though I’ll never wear them again.

  19. RachelG on May 28, 2013 at 10:45 pm

My favorite t-shirt says “Open Late Until the Brew Runs Out”. I got it in the dudes section from American Eagle probably 6 or 7 years ago. I obviously can’t wear it anywhere where people will judge me, but it’s a great sleeping shirt. ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. Kate on May 28, 2013 at 10:46 pm

I have one of my brother’s training tshirts when he was at OCS. Instead of getting rid of them, he gave one each to myself, my mom, my sister, and his girlfriend. We all have identical tshirts with his name on the back. They make us feel connected (to each other AND him), even though we’re all spread out across the world.

  21. Stephanie on May 28, 2013 at 10:47 pm

I have a favorite tee that my dad bought me on a business trip to Chicago. It says ‘Blues Chicago’ in the shape of a guitar and it’s super soft from all my wear and love!

  22. Jenn on May 28, 2013 at 10:48 pm

I have this purple Lululemon tank top that I always “default” to – though I love all my comfy Lulu tops ๐Ÿ™‚

I have my old college sweatshirt that is 23 years old. ugh. I just can’t throw it away even though it is torn and completely faded. Perfect for snuggling on cold nights.

  25. Tracy on May 28, 2013 at 10:56 pm

I have a sweater I bought 13 years ago when I was on a high school Europe trip. I never wear it anymore but it’s something I could never, ever part with.

  26. Emily on May 28, 2013 at 10:58 pm

My husbands high school basketball state champs shirt. I stole it in college to sleep in & still love it 10 years later. Just got a new sports bra to help motivate me to get back into regular workouts. Summer shape up & those great tees would help even more. ๐Ÿ™‚

  27. beth on May 28, 2013 at 10:59 pm

  33. Julie on May 28, 2013 at 11:06 pm

I will always keep my race tshirt from the marathon I ran in 2006. I never wear it but it helps motivate me to keep on going when I hit a wall.

  34. Liz on May 28, 2013 at 11:07 pm

My favorite shirt is from a really good friend who shares the same sense of humor as me. It says:

    Don’t Just Pass Gas….Stop & Enjoy it!
    Bonnie’s Corner Cafe
    Gas, Kansas

I laugh every time I put it on!

  35. Mackenzie on May 28, 2013 at 11:08 pm

When my bf coached at one of the local high schools he bought me a tshirt so I could wear it to the games and show my support… well he accidentally bought it a side too big, so it looks a little more like a night y shirt. Little did we know I would still be wearing it two years later even though he doesn’t coach there anymore. Greatest material ever! !

  36. Laura T. on May 28, 2013 at 11:09 pm

these shirts look awesome! im sure they’ll become my new favorite if i win this giveaway ๐Ÿ˜‰ but right now, my favorite shirt is my v-neck ts from the gap, i have them in every color!

  37. Lauren Campbell on May 28, 2013 at 11:09 pm

My favorite tee is from a club I was in during college. It brings back a lot of good memories.

  38. ify on May 28, 2013 at 11:09 pm

My Favorite t-shirt is definitely my mother’s super duper soft cotton maternity T-shirt. I currently sleep in it some nights. I think its about 23 years old, she wore it all the time when she was pregnant with my little bro. I found it about 9 years ago in a storage bin in our attic. Every time she sees me with it on she consistently nags about throwing that “old thang”away. She calls me a hoarder but it brings back some great memories; such as seeing my little bro kick. To her it’s an old t-shirt; but, to me its memento of my childhood. It brings back Memories Like when I thought woman got pregnant from eating too much. LOL That summer I refuse to eat my dunk-a-roos during snack time because I didn’t want to get fat like mommy. It has this great nostalgia like effect wearing it. When my time comes, I hope I still have it and can wear it. (ugh so long! lol sorry for the essay)

  39. Bailey on May 28, 2013 at 11:11 pm

I will always keep the t-shirt I got from my very first concert when I was about six… Even though it totally doesn’t fit, haha

  40. Kristie on May 28, 2013 at 11:12 pm

I love my Lulu Dance Studio jacket, which I originally bought because of you–I think you were doing a giveaway or something! Anyway, I have 3 of them now–purple, black, and charcoal–and I wear them ALL THE TIME. Seriously. They are getting worn out, and they’re only 1-2 years old.

  41. Jennifer on May 28, 2013 at 11:13 pm

I will forever keep my college tennis hoodie! Go Eags!

  42. Kris on May 28, 2013 at 11:16 pm

It’s a tie! I LOVE my husband’s old raggedy middle school football t-shirt. It’s thread-bare and I give him a hard time for keeping clothes that are so old, but I’d be crushed if he ever got rid of it! The other things in my closet that I’ll never get rid of are pieces of my mom’s wardrobe. When she passed away last year, the biggest comfort for my sister and me was the fashion show we held in her closet. Mom loved her clothes and she was most definitely enjoying the show that day.

  43. Nicole G on May 28, 2013 at 11:18 pm

Even though it’ll never fit again and its not in the best condition – I’ll never throw out the maid of honor dress I wore to my mom and stepdad’s wedding when I was 10. Such a special day – they went out of their way to make it about us forming a new family together rather than them just getting married =)

  44. Jill on May 28, 2013 at 11:19 pm

A soft yellow long sleeve t from a college social event. It has holes and a silly quote on the back, but I love it and always pack it when I travel because I’m always cold and love to sleep in it. It’s been everywhere with me and I pray it never completely falls apart!

  45. Ashley on May 28, 2013 at 11:20 pm

A really soft black hoodie my best friend gave me.

  46. Brittany on May 28, 2013 at 11:21 pm

My favorite t shirt are any that my boyfriend leaves at my house. They’re always so comfy. Love the reebok tees!

  47. Jill on May 28, 2013 at 11:29 pm

My grandpa’s letterman jacket. He passed before I was born and having it around makes me feel close to him. ๐Ÿ™‚

  48. Carly M on May 28, 2013 at 11:33 pm

I played lacrosse all through high school and college and could not bring myself to get rid of old tourney/team shirts. I have some weird attachment to the coziness despite the pit stains. Haha So I’ve started turning them into a quilt… A much more practical way to keep them in my life. ๐Ÿ™‚

  49. Andrea on May 28, 2013 at 11:35 pm

I love my yellow nike dryfit shirt that I got from a 10K race.

  50. Jenny on May 28, 2013 at 11:35 pm

I have a hoodie from a half marathon I did a couple years ago. Sadly, I bleached some of it while cleaning so I cant wear it out anymore :/. But I love wearing aound the house!
