Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:
(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)
sautรฉed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon
and some Paleo breadย for us to enjoy this week.
The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.
In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.
I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.
Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!
It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.
I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:
my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts
(still have that shirt, 3 years later)
and anything with soft Pima cotton.
Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.
They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!
I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.
One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:
(the short sleeve V neckย and love fit tee)
All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.
I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.
Enjoy your night!
xoxo

my fave thing that I still have is a well worn pair of Levis from 20 years ago-I was way smaller then, and I keep taking them out and looking at them wondering if I will ever have it in me to get back to that size again… I have to say, the way my health has been lately it is pretty darn tempting!
My favorite t-shirt is my softball practice shirt that is *cough*12 years old*cough*. Time sure flies! ๐
Yes, I’m totally guilty of stealing my hubby’s shirts too! I have a lot of college sports shirts that I love to lounge/sleep in. ๐
I will always keep my college hoodie!
I have a pair of Paige denim jeans that the company stopped making years ago. They fit perfectly and haven’t found anything better since. Now I”m trying to save them to keep them as long as I can!
I have a pair of Paige jeans that I LOVE. I’ve had them for about 5 years. They are still in great shape.
My favorite t-shirt is a big college shirt from my sister’s university.
I just purged a ton of stuff, too, but I always keep my husband’s college baseball tee (now, mine. ๐ ). It’s so comfy and soft, and it’s his! I’ll keep it as long as it holds together!
I’ve been lounging in my boyfriend’s navy sweatshirt ever since he left for deployment.
I’m preparing to move and have donated a bunch of clothes I no longer wear. But I can’t seem to part with my “traveling pants” jeans because they always fit so well despite being a bit old and frayed.
I have this old t-shirt from the job I met my husband at. He HATES it but it is so comfy, perfectly soft and stained. I doubt ill ever get rid of it.
I love love love an old Ohio state tshirt from college. I hope it never falls apart! ๐
My favorite t-shirts are a few of my fiance’s old shirts from baseball. He is XXL and I swim in them but they are so comfortable and nice to wear when he is away for half of the year!
My college soccer practice t’s. So faded and worn but the best! Great memories too.
I love to wear my favorite NFL tshirt because it is worn in and super soft!
I have a vintage Rolling Stones shirt that I will keep forever (the one with the huge tongue) – I neve wear it, but I love it!
I love my grey college sweatshirt. It’s big, it’s a quarter-zip, and soo comfy I love it.
I have sweatshirt that hubby got me when were first dating almost 20 years ago. It is still in excellent condition. I only wear it when we go camping.
I keep a lot of my old soccer shirts and jerseys. It’s so hard to part with those!
My “something in my closet I’ll always keep” is everything!!! I oddly enough purged some clothes today as well, but I have a stack of t-shirts from races/events/old sports that I save. They are never worn, they’re just in the “just in case I want to look at it” pile. And well? Why not add two more Reebok shirts to that!! Just kidding! Those are super cute and I’d totally wear them!
I have a Marquette College of Engineering shirt that I wore all the time as an undergrad and the first couple years after graduating. It’s too small for me currently. (Lactating has seriously limited my wardrobe.) But it is one of those shirts I will never get rid of. On the back are all these hilarious engineer jokes like “theory is a joke, not so funny in lab” and “a horse is a sphere if it makes the numbers easier”.
I have an old gray t-shirt from a high-school volleyball camp that I love. After 9 years its wearing thin, but its SO comfy. It is going to fall into pieces before I ever get rid of it.
Love the pinkie-red shirt! I will always keep my Fryes!
I have this big, blue sweatshirt I got from a trip overseas. It’s about twelve years old and – even though it is SO not my style now – I’ll never get rid of it. I wore it all through college!
I love to wear my husband’s Calgary Flames hockey shirt. So comfy!
Hmmm I dont think I’ll ever be able to throw away my old high school cross country shirts… I’m proud I still fit in them! haha
I have several old t-shirts from concerts, travels and college that I don’t wear anymore but can’t get rid of either. ๐
I have this old little mermaid sleeping gown a friend gave me when I was six. It was huge on me then but I loved it and still do, now it fits me like a long shirt.
I have a huge college sweatshirt that is literally fraying at every seam! It should be embarrassing, but I wear it all the time- shamelessly!
My favorite tshirt is a super soft crossfit shirt that my boyfriend designed!
I have so many t-shirts dating back years. The most comfy ones are always the old dated shirts. They’re perfectly worn in & to top it off they’re all vintage styles ๐
My favorite t-shirt is an old PE shirt from 9th grade. It’s comfy, worn in, and still fits! Even though it’s 10 years old, I can’t part with it because I met my Fiance in 9th grade and it reminds me of him! ๐
Old college t shirt
I love the red tshirt – it looks long enough for my long torso which is always a challenge!
My favourite t-shirt, is the one that my fiancรฉ gave me for Christmas. It says “sunday funday”. Since we started dating, Sundays have been the only full day that we get to spend together.
Favorite t-shirt has got to be my loose & flowy cotton tee. Never gets old. ๐
I can’t get rid of t shirts. They all have some sort of sentimental value to me.
Oh my goodness! You didn’t purge the unicorn tears speed shorts did you? I think my eye spotted them, lol. I’m guilty of keeping everything. My favorite t shirt is all of them. I’m a clothing packrat.
A piece of clothing that will always be in my closet is my first gymnastics state sweater my parents bought me in 2005 that has all the gymnasts’ name ironed on the back with a star next to my name and any other logo that I wanted ironed onto.
My favorite t-shirts are the ones I buy while traveling. Not matter how cheap the material, or how cheesy the quote on the back, I’ll never throw them out because of all the memories involved.
I’m born and raised in Olympia, WA. I’ll always keep my SOFT original Oly Girl T-shirt.
I will always keep my pair of jeans from when I was 55 pounds heavier. They are the only item of clothing I have from that time and they remind me that healthy choices not only make me feel good, but they mean being able to buy pants at any store.
I have a ‘Save Ferris’ t-shirt I bought in about 1991 that has the quote from the movie ‘it’s understanding that makes it possible for people like us to tolerate a person like yourself’ on the back. I wore it to university originally and it’s been a sleep shirt favourite for over 15 years, living on three different continents. It’s soft and comfy and I will keep it forever!
My favourite t-shirt is one of my dad’s old t-shirts. It is big, worn, soft, and super comfy. I brought it with me to college and will wear it until it falls apart. It reminds me of the example of what a great dad and husband he is and how he is my hero. Every time I put it on it is like being enveloped in a big embrace from my dad. I love him so much.
I have a bootcut Diesel Jeans in my closet which was a present from my boyfriend at that time 10 years ago. I had to sew it several times cause it gets thinner and thinner, but I can’t throw it away, I still wear it and love it!!
My favorite t-shirt is the one I got in my teens for placing first in a dance competition, I’ll always keep and cherish it!
I love all my high school soccer tshirts. They are deeply worn in.
I’ll probably always keep one my dad’s old plaid shirts.
I have a t-shirt pile of a few memorable shirts from college that I have no intention of wearing, but keep in the bottom of a drawer just because they represent a connection to such a fun time with great friends.
My favorite tshirt is from my 7th grade crew team – I’ve had it for almost 15 years, it is so soft and I can’t get rid of it!
I love love love the pink love fitness one, I keep hearing nothing but good things about it on blogs and can’t seem to find it anywhere. I’m in need of a good clear out of my closet, but always feel nervous “what if I do want to wear it again someday?” Pop into the back of my mind. Needless to say a ruthless clear out is needed ASAP! Thank you for another wonderful giveaway Gina! L xoxo
