Thank you to everyone for entering! Stay tuned for Summer Shape Up giveaways starting next week!

___________________________________________________________

HOLY Shape Up!!! I am so thrilled that you’re as excited as I am for the challenge. Thank you so much to those of you who have already signed up! Keep an eye on your email for the password + all of the Shape Up details. You have until Friday to sign up if you haven’t already.

Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:

Oatie dough 1 of 1 2

(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)

sautรฉed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon

Zucchini 1 of 1 4

and some Paleo breadย for us to enjoy this week.

Paleo bread 1 of 1 4

The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.

In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.

Closet 1 of 1

I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.

Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!

It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.

I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:

my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts

Shirt1

(still have that shirt, 3 years later)

and anything with soft Pima cotton.

Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.

Tee 1 of 1

They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!

I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.

One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:

Tee 1 of 1 2

(the short sleeve V neckย and love fit tee)

All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.

I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.

Enjoy your night!

xoxo

Gina

I probably have way too many sentimental pieces of clothing in my closet but the one I hope to never let go of is my wedding dress. Pictures just aren’t the same as seeing the real thing.

I had too many good memories to part with all of them. One is even 15+ years old. Nice giveaway, I love Reebok. ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. Jenna on May 29, 2013 at 7:10 am

  24. Pam on May 29, 2013 at 7:11 am

My favorite t-shirt is from when I was in high school and when I was on the water polo team. They gave us all shirt and it is so soft and has the perfect fit but it has huge holes and is one stitch away from falling apart now but I love it!

  25. Tracey on May 29, 2013 at 7:17 am

I love a long sleeve shirt I bought over 5 years ago, and have used it for every type of activity! Sleeping, painting, gardening, just can’t give it up! Need to patch the holes now.

  28. Allie S on May 29, 2013 at 7:24 am

  29. Kristi on May 29, 2013 at 7:27 am

I have a tshirt I’ve had forever- seriously don’t remember where or when I got it- that is so soft and says “no peeking ’til Christmas” on it and has a vintage picture of a small child with presents. I only wear it to bed (always on Christmas Eve!) but I just love it!

  30. Erica on May 29, 2013 at 7:27 am

My all time favorites are not t-shirts but Under Armour Storm Chaser Hoodie. Living in the northeast the weather is always unpredictable so I rely on my UA hoodie to make it thur my runs and other outdoor fitness activites. I want one in every color !! ๐Ÿ™‚

  31. KC on May 29, 2013 at 7:28 am

Super random but I have a ATO tee from my mom’s college boyfriend (the guy before she met my dad) that is super soft and perfectly broken in (probably because it is from the 60s!). She found it one day when going through old things at my grandparent’s house and gifted it to me and it is one i will never give up!

  32. cheryl on May 29, 2013 at 7:28 am

My favorite T shirt is one I got on vacation years ago in a off the beaten path shop. It shows a jar of peanut butter, two slices of bread and a jar of jelly all dancing… It says… “We be Jammin’……………..I love it, its my favorite to just bum around in as it is so soft.

  33. Ashley {The North Carolina Cowgirl} on May 29, 2013 at 7:32 am

My favorite comfy t-shirts, which I wear way too much since I have so many, are the T’s I got from the Fire Department. My boyfriend is a fireman in our town and he always brings me home new T-shirts when they order some, so needless to say I have a couple drawers full. ๐Ÿ™‚

  34. Katie on May 29, 2013 at 7:32 am

haha my favorite t shirt is stolen from my boyfriend… it’s a reddish aerosmith t made of vintage cotton, i don’t even listen to a ton of aerosmith but it’s so soft i can’t part with it

  35. Kelsey Yoki on May 29, 2013 at 7:37 am

One of my favorite tees in my closet would have to be my aqua-blue short-sleeved tunic shirt from H&M. I’ve had it for such a long time but still find it to be a staple in my wardrobe today! My other tee is from our “Thriller” dance recital back when I was a sophomore in high school. I could NEVER get rid of it!

  36. Anna on May 29, 2013 at 7:39 am

I have a Patagonia fleece that I just looove! I wear it almost every night after work

  37. Brianna on May 29, 2013 at 7:41 am

My favorite T-shirt is one that I received Freshman year of college while going through the rush process. It’s so comfy and soft, and almost 10 years old. I recently decided it would be a good idea to give it a new look, and so I cut off the collar portion to get that off the shoulder 80’s look. Needless to say, it’s one of my staple shirts for lounging and sleeping, and my husband is a little less thrilled with it than I am.

  38. Shayna on May 29, 2013 at 7:43 am

I have a purple sweatshirt that I got in 7th grade and after 2 kids and many years, I still wear it around the house. It is especially comforting when I’m sick.

  39. Lisa on May 29, 2013 at 7:45 am

I went to a small high school and we had senior shirts. The class year was large on the back and all the seniors would sign a copy. This shirt was used as a template so all the seniors could have one. I will cherish it because we had 3 classmates die within the year of our graduating. This was big because we all knew each other so well. I will always keep that shirt.

  40. Kelly on May 29, 2013 at 7:45 am

I will never get rid of this long sweatshirt I’ve had for about 8 years. When I hit the couch it’s my second skin. ๐Ÿ™‚

  41. Heather Paulding on May 29, 2013 at 7:52 am

Thrift store, broken in tees.., the best! Xo Heather

  42. Mallory on May 29, 2013 at 7:54 am

I’ll always keep the free tshirt I got with a CD that was once so small I couldn’t even pretend to put it on. Now, it fits great!

  43. Lauren on May 29, 2013 at 8:01 am

I can’t get rid of any of my college t-shirts, even ones I know I’ll never wear again. Anything that says the city or the team is here to stay!

  44. Alyssa on May 29, 2013 at 8:01 am

I have a sheer, extra-long button down that I absolutely love. The sleeve had ripped a few months back and I refused to throw it out so I sewed it up myself to salvage it. It’s my favorite shirt and the one shirt I know I can put on and feel great in.

BTW – Love the V-neck 1 more rep but the LOVE Fitness is cute too! Great color.

  45. Alyssa on May 29, 2013 at 8:02 am

BTW – I wanna sign up for the ShapeUp but for got to mark the box which is why you’re getting another comment!

  46. Stacy on May 29, 2013 at 8:02 am

My husband has old high school shirts from 1990-1994 that are really thin now, but they are great lounging shirts! For the winter lounging days, I have a sweatshirt from 1993 that the collar and end of the sleeves are falling apart. Love that sweatshirt tho!

  47. Racheal on May 29, 2013 at 8:03 am

All the years my son played football, I keep all of the shirts

  48. Brittney L on May 29, 2013 at 8:05 am

My favorite t is a Milwaukee’s Brewers t-shirt that my now fiance got for me to go to our first brewer game.

  49. Jess @ Just Call Me Janks on May 29, 2013 at 8:06 am

I have a few things that I will never part ways with – a select few being hand me downs from my parents. We all attended the same university and it’s great to have authentic ‘vintage’ clothes that show my love for our alma mater!

  50. Kristin on May 29, 2013 at 8:07 am

I’m such a t shirt junkie! I’d say my favorite one is my high school gym tshirt. Even though I’ve had it for over 13 years (I bought it big for some reason) its really comfy. I only sleep in it and lounge around in it. I just can’t part with it for some reason. Which is weird cause I didn’t even like my high school years. lol
