Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:
(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)
sautรฉed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon
and some Paleo breadย for us to enjoy this week.
The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.
In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.
I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.
Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!
It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.
I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:
my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts
(still have that shirt, 3 years later)
and anything with soft Pima cotton.
Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.
They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!
I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.
One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:
(the short sleeve V neckย and love fit tee)
All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.
I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.
Enjoy your night!
xoxo
Gina
I still have a red Mickey T-shirt that I got when I worked at Magic Kingdom during a winter break. Great memories.
my favourite t shirt is one old white levi’s t shirt.it’s totally worn out and transparent at places but the cotton is so soft…
My favorite t-shirt is an old summer camp t-shirt that is not only super comfy, but it reminds me of all those great summers with camp friends!
I get attached to certain things for no reason! Right now I keep wearing this VS Pink hoodie over and over!
I probably have way too many sentimental pieces of clothing in my closet but the one I hope to never let go of is my wedding dress. Pictures just aren’t the same as seeing the real thing.
i have a t-shirt that i bought at goodwill in high school that i still wear! it’s super comfy and soft at this point.
I have a black Hurley T-shirt that I love. It’s got a lilac flower design on it.
My favorite t-shirt is one I got from my first and only pub crawl almost 20 years ago. I only wear it around the house now but it’s a fun reminder of good times with friends.
I have a paper thin hello kitty shirt I now use to sleep in and I love it – so soft and comfy! I would never leave the house in it ๐
One T-Shirt I will never throw away is my Darren the Dare lion shirt I’ve had since middle school, lol, I obviously don’t wear it out but it’s my favorite to sleep in.
my favorite t-shirt is a grey Texas A&M shirt that was my dad’s before it was mine (I’m 30, just for a reference point) also, I have never been to texas, and don’t know anyone who went to texas A&M! great giveaway!
my favorite t-shirt, is a team t-shirt from my college fencing days. The fabric is getting really thin from being washed so many times.
I had a ton of swimming shirts from various competitions I went to through the years (I swam competitively for over 13 years) and although I’ve parted with most of them but a few have stuck around in my closet. I had too many good memories to part with all of them. One is even 15+ years old. Nice giveaway, I love Reebok. ๐
An old Levi’s jean jacket – hopefully, on oldie that never goes out of style…
the love fitness shirt is super cute! i recently bought a pair of Nike running capris, and i am IN LOVE. an unhealthy obsession with a piece of athletic clothing. if it was acceptable to go to every social event in running capris,i swear i would…
The shirts are super cute but if I had to pick one the “Love Fitness” one is my fave.
Sweat pants are what I always seem to hang on to for longer then I should.
I will never throw out my race shirts, any if them. They all hold special memories and a sense of achievement!
I will never be able to let go of my first half marathon or first marathon shirts.
A super soft gap shirt, I have 2 colors and wear them all the time.
I have a Red Sox T-shirt that has been passed down from my grandfather, to my dad, to me…I don’t even wear it anymore, for fear of washing it and having it get any thinner than it already is!
I love oversized t shirts for lounging. I have an old patriots jersey from my papa that I will keep forever. I love the red reebok love fitness shirt!
I have a t-shirt I bought when I visited my mum in New Zealand (she lives there). It’s quite old now and looks a little tired but it reminds me of having fun in the sun with my mum on the other side of the world. ๐
My favorite t-shirt is from when I was in high school and when I was on the water polo team. They gave us all shirt and it is so soft and has the perfect fit but it has huge holes and is one stitch away from falling apart now but I love it!
I love a long sleeve shirt I bought over 5 years ago, and have used it for every type of activity! Sleeping, painting, gardening, just can’t give it up! Need to patch the holes now.
jersey knit tee from the poly technique institute I studied at ๐
Oh my, I have a LOT of tshirts. I want to put together a tshirt quilt in the near future! My fave shirts are some bright tie dye shirts or some band tshirts that are made of that super comfy soft cotton.
I’ll always keep the dresses I bought when I was in Paris. Clothes with a story are harder to get rid of!
I have a tshirt I’ve had forever- seriously don’t remember where or when I got it- that is so soft and says “no peeking ’til Christmas” on it and has a vintage picture of a small child with presents. I only wear it to bed (always on Christmas Eve!) but I just love it!
My all time favorites are not t-shirts but Under Armour Storm Chaser Hoodie. Living in the northeast the weather is always unpredictable so I rely on my UA hoodie to make it thur my runs and other outdoor fitness activites. I want one in every color !! ๐
Super random but I have a ATO tee from my mom’s college boyfriend (the guy before she met my dad) that is super soft and perfectly broken in (probably because it is from the 60s!). She found it one day when going through old things at my grandparent’s house and gifted it to me and it is one i will never give up!
My favorite T shirt is one I got on vacation years ago in a off the beaten path shop. It shows a jar of peanut butter, two slices of bread and a jar of jelly all dancing… It says… “We be Jammin’……………..I love it, its my favorite to just bum around in as it is so soft.
My favorite comfy t-shirts, which I wear way too much since I have so many, are the T’s I got from the Fire Department. My boyfriend is a fireman in our town and he always brings me home new T-shirts when they order some, so needless to say I have a couple drawers full. ๐
haha my favorite t shirt is stolen from my boyfriend… it’s a reddish aerosmith t made of vintage cotton, i don’t even listen to a ton of aerosmith but it’s so soft i can’t part with it
One of my favorite tees in my closet would have to be my aqua-blue short-sleeved tunic shirt from H&M. I’ve had it for such a long time but still find it to be a staple in my wardrobe today! My other tee is from our “Thriller” dance recital back when I was a sophomore in high school. I could NEVER get rid of it!
I have a Patagonia fleece that I just looove! I wear it almost every night after work
My favorite T-shirt is one that I received Freshman year of college while going through the rush process. It’s so comfy and soft, and almost 10 years old. I recently decided it would be a good idea to give it a new look, and so I cut off the collar portion to get that off the shoulder 80’s look. Needless to say, it’s one of my staple shirts for lounging and sleeping, and my husband is a little less thrilled with it than I am.
I have a purple sweatshirt that I got in 7th grade and after 2 kids and many years, I still wear it around the house. It is especially comforting when I’m sick.
I went to a small high school and we had senior shirts. The class year was large on the back and all the seniors would sign a copy. This shirt was used as a template so all the seniors could have one. I will cherish it because we had 3 classmates die within the year of our graduating. This was big because we all knew each other so well. I will always keep that shirt.
I will never get rid of this long sweatshirt I’ve had for about 8 years. When I hit the couch it’s my second skin. ๐
Thrift store, broken in tees.., the best! Xo Heather
I’ll always keep the free tshirt I got with a CD that was once so small I couldn’t even pretend to put it on. Now, it fits great!
I can’t get rid of any of my college t-shirts, even ones I know I’ll never wear again. Anything that says the city or the team is here to stay!
I have a sheer, extra-long button down that I absolutely love. The sleeve had ripped a few months back and I refused to throw it out so I sewed it up myself to salvage it. It’s my favorite shirt and the one shirt I know I can put on and feel great in.
BTW – Love the V-neck 1 more rep but the LOVE Fitness is cute too! Great color.
BTW – I wanna sign up for the ShapeUp but for got to mark the box which is why you’re getting another comment!
My husband has old high school shirts from 1990-1994 that are really thin now, but they are great lounging shirts! For the winter lounging days, I have a sweatshirt from 1993 that the collar and end of the sleeves are falling apart. Love that sweatshirt tho!
All the years my son played football, I keep all of the shirts
My favorite t is a Milwaukee’s Brewers t-shirt that my now fiance got for me to go to our first brewer game.
I have a few things that I will never part ways with – a select few being hand me downs from my parents. We all attended the same university and it’s great to have authentic ‘vintage’ clothes that show my love for our alma mater!
I’m such a t shirt junkie! I’d say my favorite one is my high school gym tshirt. Even though I’ve had it for over 13 years (I bought it big for some reason) its really comfy. I only sleep in it and lounge around in it. I just can’t part with it for some reason. Which is weird cause I didn’t even like my high school years. lol
