Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:
(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)
sautéed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon
and some Paleo bread for us to enjoy this week.
The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.
In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.
I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.
Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!
It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.
I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:
my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts
(still have that shirt, 3 years later)
and anything with soft Pima cotton.
Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.
They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!
I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.
One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:
(the short sleeve V neck and love fit tee)
All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.
I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.
Enjoy your night!
xoxo

My Chicago Marathon shirts! I will cherish them forever!!! Wear with great pride!
Any extra large and comfy tshirt from when I was prego, something nostalgic about wearing that shirt for two!
I have a long sleeve cotton t-shirt that I bought at a John Mayer concert in 2006. It is so soft and comfy, it’s definitely my favorite shirt to hang around the house in and sleep in. Love it! 🙂
I have this old zip-up hoodie that is totally stretched out and has a couple stains on it but i love it and will never (well maybe…) part with it haha it is best to put on after a long day at work with your pj bottoms 🙂
Ohh, fun giveaway! I hate to admit this but I have tshirts from high school (and maybe one from 8th grade?!) that I STILL wear…and I’m almost 24. That means that some of these shirts are 10+ years old…eek 😉 Love them, though!
My favorite shirt is a Martina McBride fan club t-shirt! I love it 🙂
I have a pair of old cut off levi’s from college that I will never give up!
I love the red one! And I have t shirts from grade school still. I’m a hoarder.
My two favorite t-shirts are my University of South Carolina workout tank (reppin’ the hubbies grad school! woot!) and the t-shirt I got from my first fitness competition! Those are never getting thrown out!!
Claire xoxo
I have a black and white off the shoulder T, that I am wearing this very moment. I love, love, love it. It’s big and soft and comfy.
I love my new balance t-shirts. So comfy and I can wear them while teaching Pilates.
I could never part with my marathon tshirts!
A long sleeved shirt my mum got me for my 14th birthday, 19 years ago. I retrieve it from donation piles every few years after I realise I can’t part with it.
My fave is the red tee… And I just can’t seem to part with my maternity clothes 🙁 they are packed in a storage container in my closet and it bugs my hubs lol
I just like to see them and know they are there. Btw my son is only 9mo old so it’s okay to still be attached, right? Lol
Thanks so much!
My favorite tee is a tshirt I bought while I was still in college. I have worn and washed it so many times that it is soo soft. Also, I always feel nostalgic when I wear it 🙂
I have several really old (10+ years) shirts that I just loooove, especially to sleep in and can’t bare to get rid of…..my all time favorite is one I originally stole from my husband before we were married, it’s this horrible weird (ugly) design but it’s soft and I might still spray his smelly stuff on it….maybe. 🙂
And I’m sorta in love with the shirt on the right up above!
I love old sweatpants from college. There is nothing like lounging in a pair that is too big but so broken in you don’t care 🙂
I will never get rid of the free t-shirts I received from high school and college. They just remind me of so many great memories!
A t shirt from my high school relay for life team (2005). It’s SO soft still!
I will always keep the tech shirt from my first half. I have never worn it and its absolutely hideous, but I dont think I could give it away, it makes me too proud of myself.
I will always keep the sweater (yes, I said sweater) that I got married in. My husband and I went down to the courthouse to get married before his first deployment. Even though the sweater is not in the best condition and doesn’t fit anymore, I will never throw it away.
The shirt I was wearing when I met the man who will be my husband in two weeks!
I have a college tee (Go Iowa State!) that has gotten super faded and soft that I love
I just got a t-shirt from Loft that is the best. It’s “sun-softened,” which might be why is it so comfy.
I’ll always keep my concert t-shirts…they remind me of fun times and hanging out with friends and family 🙂
I will forever have my men’s XL black hoodie that my parents bought me years ago (without looking at the size, obviously!) It’s so comfy to lounge around in, especially on a cold winter day.
I will always keep my high school cheerleading uniforms and pom poms. They represent some of my favorite memories and when I was in probably the best shape of my life!
I will NEVER get rid of my bf’s old homemade tie dye t-shirt. It’s super old and super thin from wear & wash but he gave it to me after it no longer fit him (he built himself some biceps;)) and now I love to wear it bumming around!
Many years later I still have my ( now faded) alma mater tshirt, and somehow I just can’t seem to get rid of it! Would love to add these two new ones to the collection of gym/jammy shirts
I could never part with an old Flyers t-shirt from my high school days -20 years ago now – but it’s the softest shirt I own and still fits perfectly (or I should say it will once I stop nursing- lol)
I still have my soccer sweatshirt from MIDDLE SCHOOL that I wear all the time. There’s only a shadow of the letters from my last name that was put on the back. I still love it though!! Comfort = Vintage 🙂
When my husband was a kid he used to run the Bay to Breakers race every year with his dad– I have all his old t-shirts from those days! They’re too threadbare now to wear very often but I love them.
I still have a wool blend brown and forest green heathered sweatshirt that I’ve had since high school…that was at least 25 years ago! Some of the seams are separating but it’s still wearable 🙂
I keep concert t shirts to remind me of all the fun times Ive had, and the shirt I was wearing when my husband proposed to me. Best decision ever! And even though its way too tight (since I’ve had children) It still has a special place in my closet. (Cheesy, I know 😉
I have a super comfy jacket that I’ve had since high school that I just can’t get rid of!
I have a tee shirt that was my mom’s that I will keep forever. Thanks for the giveaway!
I can not get rid of a sweatshirt of my moms that she got in Toronto. It’s completely ripped up all over and looks very trashy but I just can’t get rid of it, it’s definitely a comforting piece of clothing lol.
My dad’s old Harvard sweatshirt- so worn in and comfy!
I have a pair of jeans that are SO old and have been ripped/repaired tons of times, but I can’t bear to part with them. They’re my most comfortable pair of pants and always manage to stretch to fit me!
Anything from lululemon. Over the past year I’ve lost a little over 50 pounds, but I refuse to stop wearing any of it because its too baggy! Ok, the leggings I only wear around the house.
I have a t-shirt that my dad picked up for my mom while he was on a business trip the year I was born. It is literally hanging on by a thread, but I still wear it and I still love it.
I love my t-shirts from an annual pub crawl I used to go to in Boston- more for sentimental value than for comfort!
My dads old Marine Corps sweatshirt, its a hideous green and a size XXL but its my fave thing to wear on cold ‘n lazy days.
My first race shirt is the most comfortable and easily the ugliest shirt I own. I try not to wear it when my husband is home-he hates it with a passion!
I will never get rid of my dad’s 1970 vintage sweater! I only wear it on rainy days or days where I curl up with a good book and a mug of tea- but I can’t imagine reading or watching the rain without it!
My all time favorite tee is a state champion football tee from high school, well worn and SO comfy!!!
I have an oakland A’s jersey that desperately needs to be replaced but I can’t part with the one I have; it’s perfectly broken in!
I will never get rid of my high school track T-shirts!
My favorite tee I will never get rid of is a neon tee from my senior year in cross country in high school. It bears my nickname given by my coach. I could never part ways with it!
I have a MN zoo shirt from the 90s that I can’t throw away!
