HOLY Shape Up!!! I am so thrilled that you’re as excited as I am for the challenge. Thank you so much to those of you who have already signed up! Keep an eye on your email for the password + all of the Shape Up details. You have until Friday to sign up if you haven’t already.

Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:

Oatie dough 1 of 1 2

(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)

sautรฉed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon

Zucchini 1 of 1 4

and some Paleo breadย for us to enjoy this week.

Paleo bread 1 of 1 4

The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.

In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.

Closet 1 of 1

I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.

Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!

It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.

I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:

my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts

Shirt1

(still have that shirt, 3 years later)

and anything with soft Pima cotton.

Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.

Tee 1 of 1

They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!

I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.

One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:

Tee 1 of 1 2

(the short sleeve V neckย and love fit tee)

All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.

I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.

Enjoy your night!

xoxo

Gina

I have a long sleeve cotton t-shirt that I bought at a John Mayer concert in 2006. It is so soft and comfy, it’s definitely my favorite shirt to hang around the house in and sleep in. Love it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Danielle on May 29, 2013 at 4:44 pm

Ohh, fun giveaway! I hate to admit this but I have tshirts from high school (and maybe one from 8th grade?!) that I STILL wear…and I’m almost 24. That means that some of these shirts are 10+ years old…eek ๐Ÿ˜‰ Love them, though!

  6. Marta on May 29, 2013 at 4:44 pm

  9. Claire on May 29, 2013 at 4:53 pm

My two favorite t-shirts are my University of South Carolina workout tank (reppin’ the hubbies grad school! woot!) and the t-shirt I got from my first fitness competition! Those are never getting thrown out!!

  13. Louise on May 29, 2013 at 5:13 pm

A long sleeved shirt my mum got me for my 14th birthday, 19 years ago. I retrieve it from donation piles every few years after I realise I can’t part with it.

  14. Mireya on May 29, 2013 at 5:15 pm

My fave is the red tee… And I just can’t seem to part with my maternity clothes ๐Ÿ™ they are packed in a storage container in my closet and it bugs my hubs lol
I just like to see them and know they are there. Btw my son is only 9mo old so it’s okay to still be attached, right? Lol

    Thanks so much!

  15. Priti on May 29, 2013 at 5:21 pm

My favorite tee is a tshirt I bought while I was still in college. I have worn and washed it so many times that it is soo soft. Also, I always feel nostalgic when I wear it ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. Jen I on May 29, 2013 at 5:43 pm

I have several really old (10+ years) shirts that I just loooove, especially to sleep in and can’t bare to get rid of…..my all time favorite is one I originally stole from my husband before we were married, it’s this horrible weird (ugly) design but it’s soft and I might still spray his smelly stuff on it….maybe. ๐Ÿ™‚

And I’m sorta in love with the shirt on the right up above!

  17. KristenB on May 29, 2013 at 5:45 pm

I love old sweatpants from college. There is nothing like lounging in a pair that is too big but so broken in you don’t care ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Sam on May 29, 2013 at 5:49 pm

I will never get rid of the free t-shirts I received from high school and college. They just remind me of so many great memories!

  19. Sarah L. on May 29, 2013 at 5:55 pm

A t shirt from my high school relay for life team (2005). It’s SO soft still!

  20. Emily on May 29, 2013 at 5:57 pm

I will always keep the tech shirt from my first half. I have never worn it and its absolutely hideous, but I dont think I could give it away, it makes me too proud of myself.

  21. Rae on May 29, 2013 at 6:10 pm

I will always keep the sweater (yes, I said sweater) that I got married in. My husband and I went down to the courthouse to get married before his first deployment. Even though the sweater is not in the best condition and doesn’t fit anymore, I will never throw it away.

  22. Sarah S on May 29, 2013 at 6:14 pm

The shirt I was wearing when I met the man who will be my husband in two weeks!

  23. Elle on May 29, 2013 at 6:17 pm

I have a college tee (Go Iowa State!) that has gotten super faded and soft that I love

  24. Lindsay on May 29, 2013 at 6:23 pm

I just got a t-shirt from Loft that is the best. It’s “sun-softened,” which might be why is it so comfy.

  25. Ciarra on May 29, 2013 at 6:29 pm

I’ll always keep my concert t-shirts…they remind me of fun times and hanging out with friends and family ๐Ÿ™‚

  26. Mary A on May 29, 2013 at 6:30 pm

I will forever have my men’s XL black hoodie that my parents bought me years ago (without looking at the size, obviously!) It’s so comfy to lounge around in, especially on a cold winter day.

  27. Julie W on May 29, 2013 at 6:35 pm

I will always keep my high school cheerleading uniforms and pom poms. They represent some of my favorite memories and when I was in probably the best shape of my life!

  28. Elyse @ fitness, food & engineering on May 29, 2013 at 6:39 pm

I will NEVER get rid of my bf’s old homemade tie dye t-shirt. It’s super old and super thin from wear & wash but he gave it to me after it no longer fit him (he built himself some biceps;)) and now I love to wear it bumming around!

  29. Sneha on May 29, 2013 at 6:41 pm

Many years later I still have my ( now faded) alma mater tshirt, and somehow I just can’t seem to get rid of it! Would love to add these two new ones to the collection of gym/jammy shirts

  30. Karen on May 29, 2013 at 6:42 pm

I could never part with an old Flyers t-shirt from my high school days -20 years ago now – but it’s the softest shirt I own and still fits perfectly (or I should say it will once I stop nursing- lol)

  31. Julie on May 29, 2013 at 6:46 pm

I still have my soccer sweatshirt from MIDDLE SCHOOL that I wear all the time. There’s only a shadow of the letters from my last name that was put on the back. I still love it though!! Comfort = Vintage ๐Ÿ™‚

  32. Irene on May 29, 2013 at 7:03 pm

When my husband was a kid he used to run the Bay to Breakers race every year with his dad– I have all his old t-shirts from those days! They’re too threadbare now to wear very often but I love them.

  33. Henria O. on May 29, 2013 at 7:06 pm

I still have a wool blend brown and forest green heathered sweatshirt that I’ve had since high school…that was at least 25 years ago! Some of the seams are separating but it’s still wearable ๐Ÿ™‚

  34. Stephanie Hansen on May 29, 2013 at 7:10 pm

I keep concert t shirts to remind me of all the fun times Ive had, and the shirt I was wearing when my husband proposed to me. Best decision ever! And even though its way too tight (since I’ve had children) It still has a special place in my closet. (Cheesy, I know ๐Ÿ˜‰

  35. Kim N. on May 29, 2013 at 7:16 pm

I have a super comfy jacket that I’ve had since high school that I just can’t get rid of!

  36. Elizabeth @ HobbyLobbyist on May 29, 2013 at 7:25 pm

I have a tee shirt that was my mom’s that I will keep forever. Thanks for the giveaway!

  37. Alexa on May 29, 2013 at 7:27 pm

I can not get rid of a sweatshirt of my moms that she got in Toronto. It’s completely ripped up all over and looks very trashy but I just can’t get rid of it, it’s definitely a comforting piece of clothing lol.

  38. Megan T on May 29, 2013 at 7:30 pm

My dad’s old Harvard sweatshirt- so worn in and comfy!

  39. Stephanie on May 29, 2013 at 7:33 pm

I have a pair of jeans that are SO old and have been ripped/repaired tons of times, but I can’t bear to part with them. They’re my most comfortable pair of pants and always manage to stretch to fit me!

  40. Caitlin on May 29, 2013 at 7:35 pm

Anything from lululemon. Over the past year I’ve lost a little over 50 pounds, but I refuse to stop wearing any of it because its too baggy! Ok, the leggings I only wear around the house.

  41. Kate on May 29, 2013 at 7:47 pm

I have a t-shirt that my dad picked up for my mom while he was on a business trip the year I was born. It is literally hanging on by a thread, but I still wear it and I still love it.

  42. Jen @nutcaseinpoint on May 29, 2013 at 7:54 pm

I love my t-shirts from an annual pub crawl I used to go to in Boston- more for sentimental value than for comfort!

  43. Dani Beckmann on May 29, 2013 at 8:06 pm

My dads old Marine Corps sweatshirt, its a hideous green and a size XXL but its my fave thing to wear on cold ‘n lazy days.

  44. Allie on May 29, 2013 at 8:08 pm

My first race shirt is the most comfortable and easily the ugliest shirt I own. I try not to wear it when my husband is home-he hates it with a passion!

  45. Jeana on May 29, 2013 at 8:13 pm

I will never get rid of my dad’s 1970 vintage sweater! I only wear it on rainy days or days where I curl up with a good book and a mug of tea- but I can’t imagine reading or watching the rain without it!

  46. Katie on May 29, 2013 at 8:18 pm

My all time favorite tee is a state champion football tee from high school, well worn and SO comfy!!!

  47. Sarah on May 29, 2013 at 8:25 pm

I have an oakland A’s jersey that desperately needs to be replaced but I can’t part with the one I have; it’s perfectly broken in!

  48. Juliet on May 29, 2013 at 8:35 pm

I will never get rid of my high school track T-shirts!

  49. Katie Hood on May 29, 2013 at 8:46 pm

My favorite tee I will never get rid of is a neon tee from my senior year in cross country in high school. It bears my nickname given by my coach. I could never part ways with it!

  50. Samantha on May 29, 2013 at 8:54 pm

I have a MN zoo shirt from the 90s that I can’t throw away!
