HOLY Shape Up!!! I am so thrilled that you’re as excited as I am for the challenge. Thank you so much to those of you who have already signed up! Keep an eye on your email for the password + all of the Shape Up details. You have until Friday to sign up if you haven’t already.
Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:
(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)
sautรฉed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon
and some Paleo breadย for us to enjoy this week.
The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.
In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.
I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.
Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!
It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.
I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:
my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts
(still have that shirt, 3 years later)
and anything with soft Pima cotton.
Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.
They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!
I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.
One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:
(the short sleeve V neckย and love fit tee)
All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.
I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.
Enjoy your night!
xoxo

I love these red jeans that I own. I’ve had them since the beginning of college but they’re so flattering I don’t want to get rid of them ever!
I have a VS Pink tee that I wear all the time! Especially now that I just had twins!! I really need new lounge clothes!
My favorite t shirt is a shirt I tie dyed back in college. It’s been washed so many times now that it is super soft. I love sleeping in it.
My favorite shirt is the senior shirt of my high school graduating class! Brings back a lot of good memories and just kind of goes with everything!!
All my old college shirts! Can’t let go. Sic EM Bears!
A few old High School club and sports t-shirts and an old college one seem to stick around forever… the huge, comfy, totally broken in ones that I’d be embarrassed to be wearing when I died!
My favorite tee has a peace sign and says “back by popular demand.” That shirt and my sweatpants will never be thrown out!
Favorite Tee is from a fundraiser with my dad when I was a kid. 20 years later, still sleep in it!
My favorite shirt is my fiance’s oversized college t-shirt. I sleep in it all the time!
I make fun of my husband for the insane amount of Naval Academy shirts he has kept over the years no matter how bad of shape they are in, but when he is deployed there is nothing like sleeping in one of his worn out, well loved academy shirts!
I have a couple “goal” outfits that never seem to make it in to regular rotation, but are there for inspiration…
Test… comments work?
I love the Reebok short sleeve v-neck tee!
I will probably never get rid of my old college t-shirts, I just think they’ll serve as great memories of all the fun times I had one day!
My favorite tee is a chicago cubs baseball tee
I love a neon green t-shirt with a silver buddha print, that was made partially from recycled plastic bottles (whaaaa?!). Unfortunately, it is now threadbare and I have to layer it over a tank top unless I want to take it to a level not appropriate for yoga class!
Well I can’t say that I have ONE old t-shirt that I wear, because I have MANY :), but I do have a pair of flip flops in my closet (reef) that I can’t part with! They are practically worn down to the ground in the front…i’ll be so sad when they go!
My favorite T-Shirt is from my high school cross country days. I had a coach that was known for giving the best pep talks which we made great quotes out of. I took his picture (a candid one), got white t-shirts made with the picture on it and many of his best quotes. Some of the quotes are “If you are going to spike’m do it in the woods” and “If I make it to the finish line and I’m still standing hit me over the head with a board”.
My favorite item in my closet would have to be my Susan Monaco stretchy pants. Oh so comfortable! I have two pair that are still in good shape and I’ve had them for over five years! I’m a t shirt hoarder ๐ and have about 10 comfy, never could part with shirts.
Oh my….i have some really old yoga pants from Old Navy that I love as well as a neon pink Ron Jon shirt from a couple of years ago!!!
My favorite t-shirt was a grungy, plain white, Hanes t-shirt that had a ironed on picture. It was the comfiest ever!!! Sadly I finally had to part with it because it was literally falling apart and had holes everywhere.
Ok. Sorry, couldn’t get comments to go earlier on the other post… ignore the test!! I absolutely love this pair of PJ bottoms and they’re never gonna die… (holes in the seat and all!)
My favorite t-shirts are the soft jersey cotton now. But I have a problem with keeping all my t-shirts my mom made me a t-shirt blanket! High School and College memories preserved!
I love my fiances’ platoon shirt he got while in basic training. It’s big, baggy, faded, but totally makes me feel like a bad as ๐

I have a 12 year old tee from undergrad. Never going to stop wearing it!
My favorite shirt is currently my Nike women’s half marathon tech tee. It’s super cute, it’s my favorite color, and it fits amazingly. I’m a huge fan of it that I wear it everywhere.
I love my fiances’ platoon shirt he got while in basic training! It’s baggy and faded but still makes me feel tough ๐

I keep race tshirts for sentimental reasons but rarely wear them since they always fit poorly;)
I tried posting before and it said to “slow down” so i apologize if my comment shows up twice! Anyways, my favorite t-shirts that i will always keep are the ones from my husband’s unit. We are also a military family, (formerly stationed at Ft Bragg, NC btw!). I will always keep those t-shirts because they symbolize everywhere we have lived together! ๐
My husband has this old volleyball t-shirt from high school and it is so soft and super comfy that I love to wear to bed. ๐
My fav is one given to me by my sister. She bought it for me because it says “Rules don’t apply to me” and yeah, I’m that sort of gal ๐ It’s gone alittle out of shape but it so comfy and sooo me that I still wear it!
The one thing in my closet I will probably always keep is a pair of jeans Ive had since high school. They have a nice “worn in” look and are the comfiest ones I own! I just cant bring myself to let them go ๐
Sorry for the multiple comments! I didn’t think it was working… womp womp.
The t-shirt I got from my first 10k! Love it ๐
My favorite t-shirt is an old elementary school intramural championship t-shirt that my fiance found at a thrift shop and gave to me when we first started dating. It’s old and random, but I love it to sleep in.
i love the simple v-necks from victorias secret- i have a million, they are so comfy and light!
I have a favorite from college that my graduating class in my major made for a bar crawl. It has the top 10 funny sayings from our professors. I still wear it around the house and still laugh at those memories.
I’ll always keep my Nike dry-fit tee – it’s so soft!
My favourite thing in my closet is the dress I wore for my prom. Floor length black satin. So beautiful.
I refuse to get rid of my senior prom dress, though I’ll probably never have another occasion to wear it. I just love it too much!
My fave T right now is my Portlandia T that says “the dream of the 90’s are alive in Portland” I’m from Portland but live on the east coast so it makes me feel at home and reminds me of all the “weirdness” that I sometimes miss ๐ and the one thing i save is this longsleve stripe off the shoulder sweater from old navy in high school – it looks like I’m starring in an 80’s workout video but it is so comfy!
I have a fraternity T-shirt that I can’t seem to part ways with. I was not in a sorority so I’m not quite sure where it came from (a roommate possibly) but I love to sleep in it and lounge around in it. It is so worn out that it is starting to get somewhat see through on the shoulders and has a lovely hole at the collar!
Shape up for summer
The shirt like piece of clothing that I will always keep is my fiance’s old high school cross country hoodie. We’re both in the military and separated A LOT, so he gave it to me when he first moved away! It is HUGE on me but so worn in and comfy and reminds me of him. It’s definitely my comfort clothing! ๐
My volleyball tourney shirts! Those Reebok shirts look uber comfy…
I have these “boyfriend tees” from Target in like five different colors… They are so soft, fit just right, and I love, love, love them. I wear them with jeans, with workout pants, and even with skirts sometimes. They are theeeeee best.
I have a super comfy tank from Old Navy that I got recently for $5… the price makes me love it even more!
I love the red I <3 fitness shirt!
My favorite tee is a green v-neck men’s tee shirt from American Apparel…from 2006 maybe? It has the perfect fit and is super comfy, I just can’t get rid of it!
I have a 2004 USA Cheerleading long sleeve shirt…I love it! It’s so comfy and brings back so many good memories…It’s almost ten years old and still makes a lot of appearances ๐
My longsleeve Keep Tahoe Blue shirt! So soft!
