HOLY Shape Up!!! I am so thrilled that you’re as excited as I am for the challenge. Thank you so much to those of you who have already signed up! Keep an eye on your email for the password + all of the Shape Up details. You have until Friday to sign up if you haven’t already.

Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:

Oatie dough 1 of 1 2

(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)

sautéed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon

Zucchini 1 of 1 4

and some Paleo bread for us to enjoy this week.

Paleo bread 1 of 1 4

The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.

In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.

Closet 1 of 1

I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.

Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!

It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.

I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:

my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts

Shirt1

(still have that shirt, 3 years later)

and anything with soft Pima cotton.

Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.

Tee 1 of 1

They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!

I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.

One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:

Tee 1 of 1 2

(the short sleeve V neck and love fit tee)

All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.

I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.

Enjoy your night!

xoxo

Gina

The t-shirt I got married in 6 1/2 years ago! It was a “lets go to the courthouse” spur of the moment thing…and I am still going strong with my hubby. I will never get rid of that shirt!

  7. Heidi on May 28, 2013 at 7:45 pm

I can not throw away any of my Michigan t shirts. And for some reason I will not get rid of a pair of grey tight ankle sweats. What is wrong with me???

  8. Melissa on May 28, 2013 at 7:46 pm

I have the (now completely ratty and huge on both of us, since we’ve lost weight) batman t-shirt that my now-husband wore on our first date. That’s not going anywhere! It’s perfect for wearing to bed when we’re apart or I don’t feel well.

  9. Megan on May 28, 2013 at 7:47 pm

I have a sweatshirt that is way to big and my husband hated it, but its just too comfy to give up.

  13. Hillary on May 28, 2013 at 7:50 pm

I have way too many nostalgic shirts in my drawers/closet. My favorite is my fiance’s old high school baseball practice shirt. It’s big and worn in and the most comfortable thing in the world!

  14. Molly Petsch on May 28, 2013 at 7:50 pm

I have a white Polo sweatshirt that is perfectly worn in… I may or may not look homeless in it because of all the holes but man, is it comfy!

  15. Sonia the Mexigarian on May 28, 2013 at 7:51 pm

I still have a t-shirt an ex-boyfriend gave me. It has Link from Legend of Zelda on the back and says “don’t mess with me” and the triforce on the front. Yeah, I geek out. I also still have the original series Star Trek shirt my hubby got me for one Christmas that says “guess who won’t make it back to the ship?” with 3 of the main crew and one red shirt. 🙂 i could go on and on about clothes i refuse to give away. though my closet is getting cluttered 🙁

  16. Meika on May 28, 2013 at 7:51 pm

My husband and I have a constant battle over whether the Elite Wrestling t-shirt with the quote “Winning is a choice” on the back is his or mine. I certainly wear it more 😉

  21. Jennie on May 28, 2013 at 7:53 pm

  23. Aaron on May 28, 2013 at 7:57 pm

I have a t-shirt I got 10 years ago (back when it was cool to cut thumb-holes) that has holes everywhere! It is so soft and worn in I cannot get rid of it. It’s not even good enough to use as a rag :/

  24. Mindy on May 28, 2013 at 7:59 pm

I have an old t-shirt of my dad’s with my local university on it. It looks trendy/vintage, but holds such special memories for me. Plus the cotton is super soft!

  25. Emily on May 28, 2013 at 7:59 pm

I’ll never let go of a t-shirt I bought at the MI state cheer competition during my senior year of high school–my team took 3rd!

  28. Bri on May 28, 2013 at 8:00 pm

My dad was a coach and gym teacher for over 30 years, and I have a sweatshirt in there from his school. I hate the way it fits me, but I just can’t get rid of it because of the meaning.

  33. Katie P on May 28, 2013 at 8:10 pm

  34. charli on May 28, 2013 at 8:12 pm

When I was about Oliva’s age I had a small guys t-shirt from Hawaii that I wore to bed. My Mom’s best friends son gave it to me. I thought the world of him so I wore it non stop. I wore that T-shirt into my twenties, until it was literally a rag. I still miss that shirt <3

  35. Natalie on May 28, 2013 at 8:12 pm

I wear one of my husbands old sweatshirts. It’s huge but so comfy and smells like him.

  36. Kristal on May 28, 2013 at 8:13 pm

I have a green sweater in my closet I will probably never get rid of. I was wearing it the night I met my husband. 7 years later, 2 kids and 55 pounds lighter, I still have it. I don’t usually wear it but every time I see it in there it brings back great memories 🙂

  37. Emily @ The Swallow Flies on May 28, 2013 at 8:13 pm

I LOVE both of the Reebok tees, but I think the v-neck is my favorite. I think the one thing that I’ll never get rid of is the pair of platform shoes I got in Germany 15 years ago. They were SO cool back then, but I don’t think I’ve worn them in 13 years. They still have a spot, though!

  38. Rachel F on May 28, 2013 at 8:13 pm

I will always keep a black beret. My great uncle gave it to me a year before he passed away. I wear it all winter long, and it’s made it decades. It’s here to stay.

  39. Meg on May 28, 2013 at 8:13 pm

I don’t have a favorite t-shirt, but I have a favorite pair of embroidered Lucky sweats that I will never get rid of!

  40. Karen on May 28, 2013 at 8:14 pm

I have all the shirts my dad used to get me from the places he went on trips to that I just can’t seem to give up. Plus all my old soccer t-shirt/jerseys with my name on them. They are ripped and ratty but I love them.

  41. Rose on May 28, 2013 at 8:14 pm

A giant sweatshirt from college that I live to sleep in all winter. My husband hates it but it is too comfortable to part with !

  42. Lindsey F. on May 28, 2013 at 8:16 pm

I have a sweatshirt from when I was 7 and went to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. It was expensive and an extra-large, but my mom and dad still joke with me today that it was the best money they ever spent. I wore it ALL the time and still cannot part with it.

  43. Lauren on May 28, 2013 at 8:16 pm

My favorite t-shirt is my old high school volleyball shirt. It’s so comfy!

  44. Jenny on May 28, 2013 at 8:17 pm

I have all of these shirts from college that are large and worn and comfy that I will probably never get rid of. I can always use a great t-shirt!

  45. Laura on May 28, 2013 at 8:18 pm

I like the re t shirt best! I don’t think anything in my closet is safe from donation except my wedding dress 😉

    • Laura on May 28, 2013 at 8:19 pm

That should be “red” t shirt!

  46. Ash V on May 28, 2013 at 8:18 pm

I’m a tshirt hoarder and have some from high school (almost 10 years ago), but what I really can’t imagine parting with are my hoodies from college. Can anything be more comfortable than a hoodie?!

  47. Nikki on May 28, 2013 at 8:19 pm

Love all of my old sorority tees, worn only to bed now!

  48. Ashley W on May 28, 2013 at 8:19 pm

I have my powderpuff tshirt from HS still that I can’t part with. I got it in 2003 and for some reason I still keep it and wear it.

  49. Vera on May 28, 2013 at 8:20 pm

I have an old sweatshirt of my husbands that says “I support the homeless” on it. It’s stretched out and getting thin from wear, but I just can’t get rid of it. It’s so comfortable. My husband makes fun of me why I wear it all the time

  50. Katie on May 28, 2013 at 8:21 pm

When I was in college I traveled a lot with friends to away football games. I got a t-shirt from each school we visited as a souvenir. I will never get rid of these shirts because they bring back such fond memories!
