HOLY Shape Up!!! I am so thrilled that you’re as excited as I am for the challenge. Thank you so much to those of you who have already signed up! Keep an eye on your email for the password + all of the Shape Up details. You have until Friday to sign up if you haven’t already.

Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:

Oatie dough 1 of 1 2

(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)

sautéed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon

Zucchini 1 of 1 4

and some Paleo bread for us to enjoy this week.

Paleo bread 1 of 1 4

The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.

In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.

Closet 1 of 1

I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.

Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!

It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.

I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:

my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts

Shirt1

(still have that shirt, 3 years later)

and anything with soft Pima cotton.

Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.

Tee 1 of 1

They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!

I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.

One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:

Tee 1 of 1 2

(the short sleeve V neck and love fit tee)

All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.

I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.

Enjoy your night!

xoxo

Gina

Something I will always keep is my grandfather’s sweater! I used to wear it all of the time at his house when I was cold, and since he passed it’s a favorite item in my closet.

I love the love fitness tee in Geranium. Fun t-shirt and color! I will never get rid of some old navy polar bear pajama pants I’ve had for years. They’re holding up strong!

  3. Jen on May 28, 2013 at 8:22 pm

My all time favorite shirt is my dad’s old Adidas shirt. It’s from when he was in high school (yikes!) and it’s covered in car oil, paint, and who knows what else. It’s practically see-through but I could never give it away.

  4. Skye on May 28, 2013 at 8:23 pm

I will keep my high school varsity volleyball sweats from 1994. They have no drawstring and elastic on the legs but I love them

  5. Karen on May 28, 2013 at 8:23 pm

I have an old Bankok, Thailand shirt that my dad got me while he was on tdy. At the time it was way too big and was a bright big bird yellow. I wouldn’t be caught dead in it during highschool. Now its my all time fave for workouts.

  6. Ashley Smith on May 28, 2013 at 8:24 pm

My fav shirt is an old “Go Navy!” shirt that I snagged from my dad when I was little! Soft and old 🙂

I don’t think I could name just one item….but I do have a bunch of really cure shoes that I just can’t bear to part with…even when they are terribly uncomfortable or worn out!

  11. Robin on May 28, 2013 at 8:27 pm

I hate to admit this, but my cowboy boots that I’ve had since I was17 (that’s 31 YEARS!) came to mind right away. 31 years- probably older than 99 percent of your readers!

I love the “Love Fitness” tee! I was a student trainer for the football team when I was in school and we were required to wear team issue everything at work. Naturally, everything was super huge on my 5’4″ frame. So my long answer to your short question is I will never get rid of my football sweats!

  19. Caroline on May 28, 2013 at 8:35 pm

  24. Tiffany K. on May 28, 2013 at 8:35 pm

I’ll never give up the tee I got from my very first concert, even though it was many moons ago and not even close to fitting now. Was such a great night, full of so many memories – I’m hoping I can refurb it into something cute and creative so it doesn’t have to just sit in a drawer anymore.

  25. Tara on May 28, 2013 at 8:36 pm

My fiance makes fun of me because I wear the same Hurley t-shirt to bed that I wore 5 1/2 hears ago when we first met. It is now discolored and threadbare.

  26. Kelley on May 28, 2013 at 8:36 pm

There’s an Old Bay Seasoning shirt that was my dads and now my brother and I have been stealing it from each other for 10 years. It’s gotten to the point where it’s basically see through, so for Christmas we all got a new Old Bay shirt of our own, no more fighting over one!

  27. vivian on May 28, 2013 at 8:38 pm

  32. Breanne T on May 28, 2013 at 8:44 pm

  36. Heather on May 28, 2013 at 8:50 pm

Ha! I have a pair of silk Christmas boxers that I got from Walmart over 10 years ago. I wear them almost every night (except when they are in the wash) even when it’s not Christmas season. My husband is mortified with them. They are pretty horrendous but OH SO COMFY!

  37. Beth on May 28, 2013 at 8:50 pm

My favorite shirt is this button-up sleep shirt from VS almost 10 years ago. It was called their boyfriend shirt and I wish they still made it. The sleeves are perfectly slightly too long and after 10 years the fabric always feels soft and cozy.

  38. Ashley P. @ The Vegetable Life on May 28, 2013 at 8:51 pm

I love the LOVE FITNESS shirt! Soooo cute!

My favorite item of clothing that I can never part with is my hubby’s XL college sweatshirt. It’s so perfect to lounge around the house in with a hot cup of tea during the cold winter months!

  39. Caroline on May 28, 2013 at 8:53 pm

  43. Krista W. on May 28, 2013 at 8:58 pm

The love fitness tee is amazing. That’s my favorite of the two!

In my closet, I’ll always keep my first 5k shirt. 🙂

  45. Leeanna on May 28, 2013 at 9:03 pm

  46. Alyssa on May 28, 2013 at 9:03 pm

I have a dance shirt from a competition I did in London when I was in high school, and even though it is small, I still hold on to it. After all those years of wear, it’s so soft and perfectly worn in–love that!

  47. Lisa on May 28, 2013 at 9:04 pm

I can not get rid of this long sleeve high school graduation t-shirt with all the names from the graduating class. I stopped wearing it so often though because the names are starting to fade 🙁

  48. Devon on May 28, 2013 at 9:04 pm

My favorite t-shirt is from my senior year of high school when I chaired my school’s Mini-Thon that ended up raising over $28,000 for the Four Diamonds Fund at the Hershey Medical Center! Whenever I wear it I am always reminded of how much hard work really does pay off!
