Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:
(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)
sautéed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon
and some Paleo bread for us to enjoy this week.
The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.
In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.
I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.
Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!
It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.
I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:
my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts
(still have that shirt, 3 years later)
and anything with soft Pima cotton.
Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.
They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!
I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.
One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:
(the short sleeve V neck and love fit tee)
All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.
I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.
Enjoy your night!
xoxo

I love the Love Fitness Tshirt! 🙂 My favorite tshirt is an old college shirt that reminds me of the days when I still had season basketball tickets! ha!
Still have (and wear) my green doc martin boots that i got in 7th grade!!
My favorite thing in my closet is a “kiss me I’m Irish” shirt one of my friends made for me in college. It’s super comfy and I think of those college friends when I take it out.
My boyfriend has a really old and really soft redskins tshirt that I secretly wear to sleep- because I’m a die hard ravens fan!!
I’ll never get rid of my now hubby’s college t-shirt he gave me to wear when we first started dating! It quickly became my pajama shirt, and now just a memory to keep 🙂
I’m going to try making that paleo bread — thanks for posting the link. My favorite t-shirt is the one I got from my very first race. It’s getting ratty, but I still wear it sometimes when I run. 🙂
My fav tee has to be my senior shirt (now 10 years old). Still wear it to workout and to bed! Just can’t part with it!
I will never be able to get rid of my old high school softball shirt. It still sneaks into my rotation.
Those t-shirts are super cute! I can’t seem to part with my Dundee mifflin t-shirt from when I visited a friend in Scranton PA. It’s super comfy and I love the office!
My favorite tee is a bodybuilding.com tee I got for free at a race expo. I sleep in it every night – it’s so comfy!
I will never ever get rid of my jean jacket. Denim never goes out of style. Plus, it’s perfect for layering over dresses. I would like to win the Love tee! 🙂
My favorite shirt is probably an old soccer one from high school with my name on it. It has that super soft feeling from being washed so many times!
I have a jacket from a cheerleading team I was on when I was 8. I thought I would keep it for my little girl, but I was blessed with two little guys. Maybe a granddaughter 🙂
Before I started high school, my dad gave me a shirt that HE had worn in high school! He must not have worn it very much because it was in pristine condition, lol. It has become my favorite shirt over the years– it’s so soft and fits just right! However, it has developed several holes now, as you can imagine. I still wear it all the time, though. Now that my dad has passed away, it holds even more value to me and I’ll never get rid of it!
I love all my race tshirts and wear them casually all the time, but i will never get rid of a my high school basketball hoodie because it is super thick and comfy!
mine is my husband’s old band shirt, minus the bear. it has a glow in the dark unicorn on it!
I still have a T-shirt that my mom had made for our family celebration of her 25th wedding anniversary in 1977. She held very strong views about cigarette smokers (hated the smell of the smoke). So the shirts she had made for all of us, her 4 kids, her and my dad, my fiance and the girlfriend of one of my brothers was a big red stop sign with the phrase “LUNGS AT WORK NO SMOKING”. I look at that photo now with fond memories, as both my parents have passed. And go figure, I work as a Respiratory Therapist and educate and counsel patients about quitting smoking!!
My most comfy tee shirts is one of my husbands that is so thin from washing it a million times!
I have a tshirt from a high school choir trip to Arizona. One and only time to AZ, and I loved it there!
My friends call me a hoarder because I have so many items in my closet that I never wear but I just can’t seem to part with them! You never know when things will come back in style!!!
I have a shirt from summer camp that all of my friends signed on the last day of camp. It brings back memories whenever I look at it!
My favorite T-shirt is an old Blondie shirt I found at Goodwill, with the sleeves ripped off. A true vintage rock tee. But the one thing I’ll never get rid of is a brown corduroy jacket my grandmother bought me for Christmas. It’s a bit too big and I’ll probably never wear it again, but it was the last thing she bought me before she died about five years ago.
I like that Love Fitness tshirt! I like to wear my husbands old undershirts but I get them on their last legs to eventually i cut them up and use them to clean
I have a pj shirt that says Tokyo on it that I’ve had for years
I have a tshirt from kindergarten soccer. I am grad school and can still wear it. I love how soft it is.
I’m still holding onto my black fleece I bought circa 2003 when I left for college. It’s perfect for running to/from the gym on cool mornings, and it doesn’t stink even after weeks of not washing… 🙂
My favorite shirt is an Avengers t-shirt that I cut into a muscle tee. It’s baggy and wonderful.
I have a t-shirt I call my “spaghetti shirt”. 🙂 yup, it’s for eating spaghetti in!
I have two really, my husbands tshirt that I like to sleep in! Also my Nike shirt, “Second place looks good on YOU” I got it when my friend and I signed up for Crossfit together, just to get her going…love it!
My favorite article of clothing is a soft, fuzzy hoodie. I put it on pretty much every day when I get home from work in the winter.
I love both of these shirts! One thing I’ll never get rid of in my closet would be… my cowboy hats I guess. I have four and I love all of them! I don’t have a reason to wear them very often but dressing up for Halloween is always easy! 🙂
I love the “love fitness” one! In my closet I still have clothes from my freshman year of high school…which was 6 years ago! But I actually still wear them sometimes so I guess that makes it alright? 😉
I like the Love Fitness shirt! I sleep in old race or sorority t-shirts. Some of them are riddled with holes but I can’t bear to part with them!
I definitely love the LOVE FITNESS one. Looks soooo comfortable! I have a pair of prana lounge pants in my closet that have seen much better days, but I still wear them constantly. Only in the house. My husband has banned me from wearing them in public!
Broken-in comfy clothes, especially from highschool/college days are so hard to get rid of – even if they look quite atrocious to wear 😉
I like the Love Fitness shirt–and I’ll never throw out my high school soccer sweatshirt! I love that thing 🙂
I have a t-shirt that I received for volunteering at a race expo that says “obey me” that I like to wear all the time.
My favorite T-shirt is old REO Speedwagon t-shirt that I stole from my sister in college. It’s threadbare but I love sleeping in it.
I still frequently wear my middle school gym shorts for lounging or sleeping. I also have a growing collection of race t-shirts that make the rotation!
Oooo that’s hard to pick a favorite, I have a lot of t-shirts! I guess my favorite would be a Citadel (military academy of SC) t-shirt I have, it’s so soft and comfy!
I love the black and white one! Closet item that has held strong through multiple purges – very first Michigan State t-shirt from soccer camp in 1994! Softest shirt ever.
I still have an old Mickey Mouse shirt that was a hand me down from a my best friend growing up. We’ve now lost touch since she developed schizophrenia when she was 20, but I still have the shirt and sleep in it. It’s bright yellow with Mickey Mouse diving!
Since I was pregnant and had my baby in February I’m also wearing my husbands shirt since none of mine fit comfortably…baby weight + gigantic breastfeeding boobs!
Cute shirts! I have one from Hawaii my brother gave me that I wear all the time hanging out- it reminds me of him, is comfy big, and a cute color 🙂 Why not wear it almost every day?!
I love the white and blue shirt! Those colors are adorable. I will always keep a pair of gap shorts I got when I was little. Even though they are a size 14 childrens, they are still the most comfy sleeping shorts I own.
I’ve been eyeing those “Love Fitness” shirts! I have several old race shirts that I’ve worn in just perfectly. They feel so comfy, I don’t think I could ever give them up!
My favorite shirt is a really soft animal rescue shirt. It is SO comfy and has a great meaning. 🙂
I have a couple of my husband’s old skating shirts that I stole early on in dating and LOVE to sleep in. Now I get excited if he gets ready to donate any clothes because I can pull out new comfy and sleeping shirts!
My favorite tank is my grey calvin klein shirt from the store my mom works at, it is so comfortable!
I have several old tshirts that I will only get rid of when they completely fall apart. One of my favorite shirts is one I stole from my mom and as one person noted in a coffee shop, the shirt is old enough to go to a bar by itself 🙂
I love my Oregon ducks soft cotton tee shirt and of course my husbands x-men tshirt to lounge about in or to sleep…makes me feel cozy….soft tees are always the best.
