Hey everyone! How’s your morning going?? If you enjoyed a long weekend (yeahhhhh), here on some things that went down on the bloggy:

Summer Shape Up Week 2 Workout went up!

-We planted our little garden

and

enjoyed a lovely date night

Last night, the pilot finally got the shrimp and prosciutto penne pasta he’d been hankering for:

shrimp pasta

Recipe is in *this cookbook*

I rolled with spelt pasta, olive oil, garlic, basil and tomato

spelt pasta

and we both had salads with roasted beet, onion, goat cheese and balsamic

salad

A perfect little meal 🙂

dinner

We chilled at the casa, I coerced the pilot to watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (best movie EVERRRR, even with his snide commentary haha) and we called it a night 🙂

The plan for today is:

-3 training appointments

-Weights (upper body)

-Post office

-Clean downstairs

-Make raw strawberry tart for Thurs night girl’s night

-Insanity

-Back to work

Before I go…

here’s that giveaway I’ve been hinting at 😉

Remember my Christmas gift from the pilot??

flip

That would be a Flip cam.. and I’m in love with it 🙂

Well, the lovely people at Cisco are generously donating a Flip Mino HD to a lucky Fitnessista. They’re running a video contest right now called “If your TV could do anything, what would you want it to do?”. The grand prize winner of that contest gets $10,000 (pretty baller), if you’re interested in entering.

For your chance to win a free Flip Mino HD right here on the bloggy, all you have to do is:

Leave a comment on this post answering the question “If your TV could do anything, what would you want it to do?”

My answer:

If my TV could do anything, it would allow me to reach into the screen and borrow Giuliana Rancic’s stylish and classy wardrobe 🙂

Winner will be chosen tonight (6/1) at midnight EST.

Ready…. set…… GO!

See ya with a *real* post this afternoon 🙂

If my TV could do anything, it would learn my interests and automatically suggest things to watch based on my likes of food, exercise and most importantly, Keanu Reeves.

  8. Sue on June 1, 2010 at 2:53 pm

“Smell-o-vision” as Rachael Ray says would be the greatest invention on a TV, IMO. Great contest!!

  9. Jessica on June 1, 2010 at 2:53 pm

If my TV could do anything….
I would want it to let me jump into the screen and play “minute to win it” …haha that’s lame, but you know it looks fun!

  10. Amy Olsen on June 1, 2010 at 2:54 pm

If my TV could do anything, it would put those great carpenters, designers and chefs right in my home so I could learn to fix a toilet, faux finish a wall, and whip up a delicious meal splendidly. Could you imagine the look on my husband’s face if that were the case? I really would be wonder woman 😀

  11. Jennifer on June 1, 2010 at 2:56 pm

My TV would detect when I have missed something…like when I say, “What did he say?” and it would rewind automatically.

  12. Jacqueline on June 1, 2010 at 2:58 pm

If my TV could do anything it would allow me to taste all the yummy foods on the food network. That would be the ultimate tv!

  13. Richelle on June 1, 2010 at 2:58 pm

    😀

  14. Elizabeth on June 1, 2010 at 3:01 pm

If my TV could do anything, every once in a while IT would be the one folding laundry during Real Housewives (shh, don’t tell… it’s my guilty pleasure), doing push-ups and planks during commercials, and yelling like a wild woman when the Red Sox win.

  15. Sasha on June 1, 2010 at 3:01 pm

    Gina–

You are crazy awesome! Your blog was the first one I ever started reading, and sooo many months later, yours is still my number one and favorite blog to follow! The way you write, your awesome recipes, great workout plans, and lively personality make my day! Thank you for contributing so much to the blog world 🙂 🙂 🙂

If my TV could do anything, it would go read my mind and only show/play what puts me in a great mood at whatever moment I am sitting down…no intense dramas/stupid reality shows/yelling and arguing/crazy girls giving the rest of us females a bad rap….FN, Travel Channel, and Cooking Channel ONLY where the mood is light and the positive energy flows! w00p!

  16. kristi (sweet cheeks) on June 1, 2010 at 3:01 pm

  23. Yvette on June 1, 2010 at 3:12 pm

If my tv could do anything, it would have a smell-a-vision option. (It needs to be an option because there are certain things I don’t need to smell)

  24. Amy on June 1, 2010 at 3:13 pm

If my TV could do anything, it would allow me to “borrow” wardrobes from all of my fave shows. (Borrow as in I’m never giving them back).

  25. Shari B. (FitFeat) on June 1, 2010 at 3:14 pm

I wish my TV would know when I have OTHER more important things to be doing and tell me to get off the couch and get crackin’…!!! Like a parental control feature for procrastinators, it’d be password protected and speak to me: “NO, I will NOT turn on for you until you’ve done . Once you have completed said task you’ll be given the passcode and can THEN be a couch potato!”

I’d be so much more productive! Why does TV have to be so fun!!!??? 🙂

  26. Joselyn on June 1, 2010 at 3:14 pm

It would let me go to all the resorts on the travel channel.

  30. Jam on June 1, 2010 at 3:23 pm

I have been BEGGING my husband to get me one of these! We are having a baby in October and I think this would be the PERFECT hand held camera to record our memories!
IF I could make my TV do anything I would want to be able to talk to or steal the trainers on the fitness shows and have them train me! I am going to need it after October =)

  31. alain on June 1, 2010 at 3:24 pm

yay for this awesome giveaway! I would love to have my TV be able to emit smell so that whenever there is a beautiful garden or scrumptious food on the screen, I could smell it!

  32. Ashley (whole-ier) on June 1, 2010 at 3:25 pm

If my TV could do anything it would allow me to “choose my own adventure.” That way I can control the fate of my favorite (and not so favorite) characters.

  33. Stephanie on June 1, 2010 at 3:26 pm

  34. Kelly on June 1, 2010 at 3:28 pm

My TV would play new episodes of my favorite shows whenever I so desired to watch. I hate when my favorites take a break in the summertime!

  35. Gina G on June 1, 2010 at 3:28 pm

i would be able to travel anywhere and it would train me like one of the athletes on tv (i’ve always wanted to be a gymnast!)
    =)

  36. Christy on June 1, 2010 at 3:31 pm

  44. Dawn on June 1, 2010 at 3:38 pm

“If your TV could do anything, what would you want it to do?”

Two words. Smell-o-vision and taste-o-vision. It would also be awesome if it were interactive and you could touch the screen and order products directly from the TV and the bill would show up on your cable bill 🙂

  45. Tamara on June 1, 2010 at 3:44 pm

I would really love my TV to iron all my clothes and dust…and spit out a gorgeous bunch of flowers every Friday and tell me how beautiful I am!!! 🙂

  46. ida on June 1, 2010 at 3:46 pm
