FLIPpin’ Awesome Giveaway

Hey everyone! How’s your morning going?? If you enjoyed a long weekend (yeahhhhh), here on some things that went down on the bloggy:

Summer Shape Up Week 2 Workout went up!

-We planted our little garden

and

enjoyed a lovely date night

Last night, the pilot finally got the shrimp and prosciutto penne pasta he’d been hankering for:

shrimp pasta

Recipe is in *this cookbook*

I rolled with spelt pasta, olive oil, garlic, basil and tomato

spelt pasta

and we both had salads with roasted beet, onion, goat cheese and balsamic

salad

A perfect little meal 🙂

dinner

We chilled at the casa, I coerced the pilot to watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (best movie EVERRRR, even with his snide commentary haha) and we called it a night 🙂

The plan for today is:

-3 training appointments

-Weights (upper body)

-Post office

-Clean downstairs

-Make raw strawberry tart for Thurs night girl’s night

-Insanity

-Back to work

Before I go…

here’s that giveaway I’ve been hinting at 😉

Remember my Christmas gift from the pilot??

flip

That would be a Flip cam.. and I’m in love with it 🙂

Well, the lovely people at Cisco are generously donating a Flip Mino HD to a lucky Fitnessista. They’re running a video contest right now called “If your TV could do anything, what would you want it to do?”. The grand prize winner of that contest gets $10,000 (pretty baller), if you’re interested in entering.

For your chance to win a free Flip Mino HD right here on the bloggy, all you have to do is:

Leave a comment on this post answering the question “If your TV could do anything, what would you want it to do?”

My answer:

If my TV could do anything, it would allow me to reach into the screen and borrow Giuliana Rancic’s stylish and classy wardrobe 🙂

If my TV could do anything it would let me reach in and slap Danielle from Real Housewives of NJ, girl is CRAZY!! 🙂

  3. Meaghen on June 1, 2010 at 9:47 am

Well I don’t have a TV but if I did I would want it to make all the actors on TV both male and female have more normal sized bodies. They are completely unrealistic and while some may have naturally thin bodies, many of them go to extremes to look like that. It’s not healthy for anyone to think that that is what is normal.

If my tv could do anything, it would suck me in and make me the Travel Editor on the Today Show!

  5. Teri [a foodie stays fit] on June 1, 2010 at 9:47 am

I’d want my TV to let me talk to the characters/writers and ask them “WHAT ARE YOU THINKING??” I just watched the Grey’s Anatomy finale. 🙂

If my tv could do anything it would be like Pandora, and only the shows I like would be shown, and it would suggest other shows I might like.

  9. Kimberly on June 1, 2010 at 9:48 am

If my TV could do anything, it would be the ability to pick only the channels I want to watch and delete everything else. It would also be commercial free!

  10. kim on June 1, 2010 at 9:48 am

I wish I could just tell my tv exactly what I want to watch and it shows up, no matter the time of day or DVR. So if it was a stressful day and I really needed some mindless reality tv or if I wanted a cool documentary, either way, it would be there in all it’s glory 🙂

  11. Emma on June 1, 2010 at 9:49 am

If my tv could do anything, I’d have the Food Network be magically playing Barefoot Contessa whenever I’m on the treadmill. Yes, I like to watch cooking shows while I run, I’m aware of how weird that is!

  14. Katie in DC on June 1, 2010 at 9:52 am

I’d like my TV to be able to give me more information, sort of like combining the TV and the web. Example: If I were watching the Barefoot Contessa I could select her spoon and it would the recipe she’s making would pop up. If I selected something else (I’m an idea person, not logistics!) maybe I could get her biography, or find out where she bough her spoon rest (or whatever).

  15. Aubrey on June 1, 2010 at 9:54 am

it would be awesome if my tv could transport me and family to the cool destinations i see on the travel channels! we got to travle a lot in the military, but it would be nice to go somewhere not on “orders”!

  16. Timmera on June 1, 2010 at 9:54 am
