Hey everyone! How’s your morning going?? If you enjoyed a long weekend (yeahhhhh), here on some things that went down on the bloggy:

Summer Shape Up Week 2 Workout went up!

-We planted our little garden

and

enjoyed a lovely date night

Last night, the pilot finally got the shrimp and prosciutto penne pasta he’d been hankering for:

shrimp pasta

Recipe is in *this cookbook*

I rolled with spelt pasta, olive oil, garlic, basil and tomato

spelt pasta

and we both had salads with roasted beet, onion, goat cheese and balsamic

salad

A perfect little meal 🙂

dinner

We chilled at the casa, I coerced the pilot to watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (best movie EVERRRR, even with his snide commentary haha) and we called it a night 🙂

The plan for today is:

-3 training appointments

-Weights (upper body)

-Post office

-Clean downstairs

-Make raw strawberry tart for Thurs night girl’s night

-Insanity

-Back to work

Before I go…

here’s that giveaway I’ve been hinting at 😉

Remember my Christmas gift from the pilot??

flip

That would be a Flip cam.. and I’m in love with it 🙂

Well, the lovely people at Cisco are generously donating a Flip Mino HD to a lucky Fitnessista. They’re running a video contest right now called “If your TV could do anything, what would you want it to do?”. The grand prize winner of that contest gets $10,000 (pretty baller), if you’re interested in entering.

For your chance to win a free Flip Mino HD right here on the bloggy, all you have to do is:

Leave a comment on this post answering the question “If your TV could do anything, what would you want it to do?”

My answer:

If my TV could do anything, it would allow me to reach into the screen and borrow Giuliana Rancic’s stylish and classy wardrobe 🙂

If my TV could do anything, I’d be able to step inside and be wherever the scene is. Oh, Samantha Brown (Travel Channel host) is at DisneyWorld? Don’t mind if I do.
Smell-o-vision would be cool too. But only for good smells!

If my TV could do anything, it’d be able to grow! My flatscreen is LITTLE and I so wish I’d gotten something bigger!

  3. Sunni Campbell on June 1, 2010 at 12:46 pm

If my Tv could do anything, i would want it to be able to tell me the designer of the clothes the actors are wearing and where to buy them. also, if a song is playing on the tv, i would want it to tell me the name of the song and the artist.

“If your TV could do anything, what would you want it to do?”

Hello, food channel! If my TV could do anything, I’d want it to pop out the delicious-looking meals I’m always watching be prepared. Yum!

  5. Ashley K on June 1, 2010 at 12:48 pm

If my tv could do anything, it would be to turn itself off when I have been sitting there mindlessly for waaaaay too long. 🙂

  6. Heather S on June 1, 2010 at 12:49 pm

If my TV could do anything, I’d make it multiply so I could have another one for my bedroom, and a another one for my workout room!

    Great Giveaway doll!

This is a great question! I would have to say – If my TV could do ANYTHING, I think it should pay for its own cable 😉

I would also love it to tell my future like a big crystal ball!

    Have a great day

  14. Heather on June 1, 2010 at 12:53 pm

If my TV could do anything it would let me be able to “step” right into my favorite TV shows so I could not only get an upfront view, but to interact with my favorite characters!

  15. Michelle C on June 1, 2010 at 12:53 pm

Ohhh. If my TV could do anything it would allow me to taste all the yummy food I see on the food network but make it so the calories don’t count! 🙂

  19. Stacy on June 1, 2010 at 1:01 pm

If my TV could do anything, I’d definitely let me jump inside Dancing With The Stars, and dance with Tony Dovolani. Love him!

  20. Nae on June 1, 2010 at 1:01 pm

My tv would send me to the places those lovely folks on the travel channel go to. No fair 😉

Or let me eat the tasty food of the Food Network. YUM.

  21. Amanda on June 1, 2010 at 1:02 pm

If my TV could do anything, it would serve me with the healthy meals that I like to eat while catching up on the E-channel in the evenings!

  22. Ashley on June 1, 2010 at 1:02 pm

If my t.v. could do anything i’d be able to step inside the travel channel destinations, a poor college student can dream…

  23. Hallie on June 1, 2010 at 1:04 pm

I totally second (or third or one-hundredth) the whole “let me eat the things I see on the Food Network” thing for my TV. If that’s too much to ask though, I’ll settle for a TV that can do the dishes and wash/iron my clothes 🙂

  24. Annie on June 1, 2010 at 1:07 pm

My tv would allow the fitness instructors in workout videos would come out and help/motivate me!

  25. Elizabeth on June 1, 2010 at 1:07 pm

  26. Leigh on June 1, 2010 at 1:08 pm

If my TV could do anything, it would transport me to the places I see on TV–especially the beachside locales.

  27. Barbara on June 1, 2010 at 1:12 pm

I’d definitely like it if I could smell and taste through the tv. I love watching cooking shows so to be able to smell the food would be good, but to taste it would be freakin awesome!

  28. Jenn on June 1, 2010 at 1:16 pm

If my TV could do anything, it would act as a personal concierge and assistant. It would communicate with other appliances in my house. For instance, I step on my scale and I’ve put on a few pounds – instantly, my TV senses this and displays exercise programming! Or, it’s dinnertime and I’m watching a tasty dish being prepared on Food Network – so it preheats my oven and checks the fridge and pantry inventory for the ingredients. My TV would also remind me of appointments and meetings, and when I have down time, it would provide suggestions for fun activities/sightseeing in my area!

  29. Julie on June 1, 2010 at 1:18 pm

If my TV could do anything I would love if it could allow me to eat the delish food on Food Network! 🙂 I always get sooo hungry watching that station! hahaha

If my TV could do anything it would totally pay for cable service 🙂 and let me step inside and be a part of “The Office”!

  31. Kristin on June 1, 2010 at 1:20 pm

If my TV could do anything for me I would want it to, instead of having a comercial have some type of fitness move to do until the show comes back on.

  32. Catherine on June 1, 2010 at 1:20 pm

If my TV could do anything it would let me reach in and taste the food on Top Chef! …either that or have an automatic tiredness detector and shut off when it felt me getting too sleepy so I wouldn’t be up so late “just finishing a show” when I should be going to sleep on a weeknight.

  33. Mary on June 1, 2010 at 1:21 pm

If my tv could do anything it would clean my house

  34. Morgan on June 1, 2010 at 1:21 pm

My TV would give me more sensory experiences that sight and sound. I’d love to smell foods that are cooked, or feel the sand of a beach beneath my feet

  35. Jennifer K. on June 1, 2010 at 1:23 pm

It would have a scratch and sniff feature.

  36. Tammy on June 1, 2010 at 1:24 pm

Give off aromas! That way I could feel that much more into the program like I’m really there! Smell food, flowers, dirt.. Everything! =)

  37. Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat on June 1, 2010 at 1:25 pm

If my TV could do anything, it would let me reach inside and sample all the delicious food that the celeb chefs make on the food network!

  38. Alexi on June 1, 2010 at 1:28 pm

If my TV could do anything, there would be a button I could press on my remote when I wanted to try something I saw on a commercial. Then a few seconds later, it would appear on my doorstep! 🙂

  39. Sarah R on June 1, 2010 at 1:28 pm

    Smell-o-vision, or better yet… taste-o-vision!

  40. Jenna on June 1, 2010 at 1:28 pm

If my TV could do anything, it wouldn’t have a pre-programmed schedule. It would let me watch exactly what I wanted, when I wanted. I would be in total command!

  41. Jamie B on June 1, 2010 at 1:28 pm

I wish I could taste all of the food on the cooking channels. It all looks so great!!

  42. Sharon on June 1, 2010 at 1:29 pm

Smell-o-vision. A personal transporter to the travel channel destinations would not be too shabby either.

  43. Amber @ Pampered Recipes on June 1, 2010 at 1:29 pm

I would love it if my TV could stream my internet browser…that way I could watch Hulu or Youtube on the big screen instead of the family crowding around my laptop to watch a funny video!

  44. SumiLove on June 1, 2010 at 1:30 pm

My TV would definitely let me go into my favorite shows and be a part of them. It would be the ultimate simulated experience!

  45. Lindsey on June 1, 2010 at 1:30 pm

If my TV could do anything it would allow me to reach in and take whatever I wanted out-whether it is a cute outfit, a delicious looking dish, or anything else.

  46. Diana on June 1, 2010 at 1:30 pm

I would love a tv that lets me draw on it like a sports reporter, so I could pause it and circle/draw/point to things in scenes when with friends!

  47. courtnwhit on June 1, 2010 at 1:37 pm

If my TV could do anything, it would allow us to come to you guys live rather than just on the blog!

  48. Joanne on June 1, 2010 at 1:38 pm

If my TV could do anything, it would transport me to all the vacation hot spots I see on the travel channel!!!

  49. Allison on June 1, 2010 at 1:39 pm

I would love if my tv showed fitness/yoga moves on the bottom of the screen during commercials. I need all the motivation I can get!

  50. Emma on June 1, 2010 at 1:41 pm

If my TV could do anything it would allow me to step inside to any television programme. So I could step into the life of ‘Friends’ or watching a travel programme and step into Hawaii lol
