{Giveaway} Dehydration Station

Hiiiiii 😀 Happy Indian Food Wednesday! How’s your day going?

I’m so glad you guys liked the video I posted last night– pretty amazeballz, huh? I also LOVED reading about your pets’ nicknames. Glad we’re not the only weirdos out there 😉

(check out that LEG sticking out! She’s so funny)

We just got back from this morning’s 30 minute walk, and also went to the dog park (DP) so Bella could chase her friends around and collapse in the dirt.

B-fast for the Pilot:

pilot

(Sourdough English muffin with sundried tomato goat cheese, organic turkey, an over easy egg on each side, and 1/2 avocado with berries)

Perfect protein pancakes for me:

pancakes

BANANA SPLIT protein pancakes with a square of dark chocolate, 1/2 banana, organic strawberries and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Yes, yes, yesssssssssssssss <—-foodgasm

So I wanted to say a little “thank you” for being so lovely and supportive since the Pilot has been home, with house hunting and life in general, so I asked my friends at OpenSky if we could do a lil giveaway.

When I picked the item, I wanted it to be something I use all the time and LOVE, so it was really an easy choice.

Have a lovely day and I’ll see ya later with “Things I Didn’t Know About the Pilot” 😉

  21. Ashlie on April 6, 2011 at 4:28 pm

Wowweee! How fun would this be?! Not only could I make the recipe’s you feature on your blog, but it would send me back to my childhood years when my Dad would make a fun project out of dehyrdrating all types of goodies with me and my sister. His favorite at the time was figs…so I’d definately make a big batch of dried figs – and maybe even send him back to my childhood 🙂 My favorite were nectarines, so my second batch would be those!

  22. Kelly on April 6, 2011 at 4:28 pm

I would either make Kale Chips or macaroons!!

  23. Kristy Du on April 6, 2011 at 4:29 pm

I’d make dried fruits and veggies. They’re so so good for on the go snaking! And I’d love to learn other ways of using it as well

  24. Brooke on April 6, 2011 at 4:29 pm

I would definitely make macaroons first (obviously), but then I’d love to try some Fruit Leather. Jessica from How Sweet It Is posted a recipe a while ago on it, and I’ve been dying to try it ever since!! 🙂

  25. Jamie on April 6, 2011 at 4:29 pm

Fruit, fruit and more fruit! I’d probably turn into a banana, apple or pineapple from mass consumption!

  26. Bethany on April 6, 2011 at 4:29 pm

I would def. be a copy cat and make some ‘roons! 🙂

  27. Courtney on April 6, 2011 at 4:30 pm

I would love to make granola in a dehydrator! It’s so expensive, and every time I TRY to make it at home, I burn it to a crisp! Err! I believe that a dehydrator would change my life. =)

  28. Alaina Rose @ Sweetness of Life on April 6, 2011 at 4:30 pm

It seems like everyone wants to make kale chips! I’m not gonna lie, I wanna make them too! And raw cookies and raw brownies and raw bread and so many things!

  29. Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table on April 6, 2011 at 4:31 pm

This is the best giveaway ever! I already “follow” you on Open Sky.

If I had a dehydrator, I’d try to make the raw enchiladas like I had a Cafe Gratitude on SF. They were crave-worthy, to say the least!

  30. Beck on April 6, 2011 at 4:31 pm

I’d make the kale chips — I’ve only ever had steamed kale but I love it and am dying to try it a new way (and my oven doesn’t really work).

  31. Diana on April 6, 2011 at 4:31 pm

I would make macaroons – yours look absolutely incredible! I’m thinking a chocolate lavender macaroon sounds good 🙂

  32. Marybeth on April 6, 2011 at 4:31 pm

I would love to make kale chips!! Then fruit leather.

  33. Alyson @ Runners Gut on April 6, 2011 at 4:32 pm

KALE CHIPS with nutritional yeast! I have tried to perfect them in the overn and it is a very hard thing to do!

  34. Samantha on April 6, 2011 at 4:32 pm

I desperately want to try the kale chips everyone raves about. I just don’t trust myself to make them in the oven!

  35. Olga on April 6, 2011 at 4:32 pm

I would make some banana and apple chips so I can use them in my larabar recipe!

  36. Charlene on April 6, 2011 at 4:32 pm

I would definitely make kale chips first! Then, I’d like to figure out a way to make macaroons without using almonds or cashews or tree nuts in general… I unfortunately developed an allergy to tree nuts so it’s been difficult for me to find nut-free raw snacks. It would be great if I could make my own!

  37. Gavi @ Gavi Gets Going! on April 6, 2011 at 4:32 pm

I would make dehydrated banana chips…yummy!!

  38. Summer B, on April 6, 2011 at 4:33 pm

Ummm, hello! Best giveaway ever! I’m going to have to go with roons like almost everyone else. If I kiss your booty will it increase my odds of winning? 😉

  43. Amara@GirlinaWhirl on April 6, 2011 at 4:34 pm

Raw flatbreads! — and to dehydrate my almond pulp from our homemade almond milk. I can’t seem to figure that out in the oven! I’ve gotten pretty good with oven Kale chips, but these are challenges.
