{Giveaway} Dehydration Station

Hiiiiii 😀 Happy Indian Food Wednesday! How’s your day going?

I’m so glad you guys liked the video I posted last night– pretty amazeballz, huh? I also LOVED reading about your pets’ nicknames. Glad we’re not the only weirdos out there 😉

(check out that LEG sticking out! She’s so funny)

We just got back from this morning’s 30 minute walk, and also went to the dog park (DP) so Bella could chase her friends around and collapse in the dirt.

B-fast for the Pilot:

pilot

(Sourdough English muffin with sundried tomato goat cheese, organic turkey, an over easy egg on each side, and 1/2 avocado with berries)

Perfect protein pancakes for me:

pancakes

BANANA SPLIT protein pancakes with a square of dark chocolate, 1/2 banana, organic strawberries and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Yes, yes, yesssssssssssssss <—-foodgasm

So I wanted to say a little “thank you” for being so lovely and supportive since the Pilot has been home, with house hunting and life in general, so I asked my friends at OpenSky if we could do a lil giveaway.

When I picked the item, I wanted it to be something I use all the time and LOVE, so it was really an easy choice.

  11. Kerry on April 6, 2011 at 4:40 pm

I will make raw flax/onion crackers! They are my fave but I don’t buy them too often because they are sooooo pricey!

  12. Shadia on April 6, 2011 at 4:41 pm

When we were house hunting, we saw a condo that had a dehydrator in the kitchen. The realtor showing us the condo happened to be friends with the owners and offered me some dehydrated fruit and veggie chips. They were amazing and we ended up buying that condo (not sure how much influence the dehydrated treats had on our decision…) When we moved in, I secretly hoped they would accidently forget their dehydrator. Sadly, they didn’t. That was my first and last experience with homemade fruit and veggie chips and I’d love to replicate the dried apples we tasted over two years ago!

  13. Amanda K on April 6, 2011 at 4:41 pm

I wouldn’t know where to start…but I’d love the chance to try dehydrating out. I tried kale chips in the oven once. Let’s just say they were indeed crispy.

  26. Carolyn on April 6, 2011 at 4:45 pm

Granola! I have recently been learning all different ways to eat and cook healthier and I think my first task with a dehydrator would be granola. I am so sick of looking at all of the lengthy ingredients listed on store bought granola! I want to make pure and whole granola that tastes great! 🙂

  27. Alexis on April 6, 2011 at 4:45 pm

Kale chips, dried fruit, and roons! I’d be a dehydrating-machineeee.

  36. Celina on April 6, 2011 at 4:49 pm

Dehydrators remind me of a “Shrinky-Dinks” machine I used to have when I was little—remember the machine that shrinks pieces of plastic? My mom sold it in a garage sale. Now I think it’s time for me to have a big girl dehydrator 😉
I think I would have fun putting EVERYTHING in the dehydrator 😀 (but deffinetly excited to make kale chips!)

  37. Trisha on April 6, 2011 at 4:49 pm

    Sorry, Would! Silly iPhone.

  38. Ashley on April 6, 2011 at 4:49 pm

  42. Kelly on April 6, 2011 at 4:50 pm

Awesome! I just made cheesy kale chips yesterday in my oven and I know a dehydrator would make that process a thousand times easier. I would also like to make Beef Jerky!

  43. Nicole A on April 6, 2011 at 4:50 pm

I would be trying dried fruit first! And work my way up to your beautiful desserts!

  44. Kayla on April 6, 2011 at 4:51 pm

I’d start with fruit leathers for sure. The hubs has recently developed a love for them (I’ve loved them for a while now) but we can only find them at the organic food co-op an hour away.

  45. Theresa on April 6, 2011 at 4:51 pm
