Infamous Egg Puff
Hey guys! IT’S FRIDAY!!! Wahoooooo! 😀
This is a quickie since I’ve got a few appointments before I pack up and we hit the road to Orlando, but I thought I’d post a little video for ya’ll.
This video is how to make an egg puff. It’s super easy, but sometimes it’s more helpful to see how something’s done rather than just reading about it.
Hope you enjoy 😀
See ya on the road!
xoxo,
Gina
I’ve always been sooo afraid to make my eggs in the micro! You make them look so good, though! 🙂 I will try…and maybe add some cheese.
I’ve had SO many microwave egg-plosions bc I never check. I think my microwave will always have egg splatter in there no matter how hard I scrub. Btw, you’re stunning and need a food network show asap. Just sayin.
wow, thanks girl <3
I concur!!!
Yay for this video! I’ve always wondered how to make them, so I’m glad for the how-to! Have a great road trip 🙂
thank you!
Thanks for the instructional video 🙂 I tried making an egg white puff the other day but it stuck to the bowl 🙁 I’ll try some non-stick spray. No more frying pans to wash! Woohoo!
awesome. that was a cute video. i have a whole container of egg whites i didn’t know what to do with. now i can make a lot of egg puffs! thanks for the video.
Looks good – I want to see how you make the breakfast cookie!
Yes! A agree! We need a breakfast cookie tutorial!
Whoops! *I* agree!
Hi Gina! Are there any water infused drinks you’d suggest (low/no calorie)? I’m looking for something w/o sugar substitutes (i.e. no crystal lite). Thanks =)
PS good luck!!
Yes – I second the breakfast cookie idea for a vlog!!
I love how fast & nutritious this is!!
Thanks for the tutorial! I can’t believe making eggs is that easy. I’m definitely going to try this. Besides being quick, it’s one less pan I have to clean!

You have such a pretty voice! Thanks for making this video 🙂
This was really cute! I don’t usually watch videos on blogs but I thought I would check it out and this was fun. And I love making my eggs like that but haven’t in a while….thanks for the update!

Great video, Gina! You joke about ‘Food Network-style’ but my guess is we’ll be seeing you on there someday soon 🙂
GOOD LUCK on the 1/2!
thanks!
Thanks for the video, Gina!
How are you feeling about the race? Excited? Ready to get it over with?
We’re all cheering for you from our computers. Ha ha
Have fun!
Becca
NERVOUS
stoked
excited
ready to be DONE and victorious 🙂
<3
great video! how many takes did you end up doing? if it were me, it probably would have been about a billion but you look like a natural!
thanks!
one take… i like to get it over with 🙂
You’re so cute, your video made me smile. My mom used to always make us egg puffs in the microwave while growing up– easier, faster, and less dishes!
I’ve always wanted to use the micro for eggs but never knew how, thanks!
You are seriously adorable.
Thanks!!! I make egg puffs all the time! They are so easy and delicious!
you’re sooo sweet! Love the shirt! I have to put mine on too! 😀
i love that shirt, too 🙂
I make these all the time ever since I worked in a Bagel shop and saw how much easier it was to make fluffy egg white sammies on bagels. Good luck with the race chica!
I love your egg puffs; especially w/ your recommended Herdez salsa on top. Good luck on the race and have fun.
Great video–thanks. Good luck with the big race!
you’re so cute…this is a great video too! my mom used to make these for use when we were running late and i totally forgot about the method! good luck with the race girl, you’re gonna rock it 🙂
Gina –where did you get that oil spritzer? I that was as great a tutorial as the egg puff, how to use that and how well it worked. I had one before, but it kept getting clogged.
hey amara,
it’s from williams sonoma- about $20? it works wonderfully.
After being vegan for over a year, eggs were very welcome back in my life 🙂 I was always so terrified of microwaving them, and now they’re one of my go-to proteins. So fast and delicious! Not scary at all 🙂
Yayyy I <33 when you do videos 😀 *Goes to make an egg puff now* XD
Hehe have a great day Gina!!
<3 Abbey
Yay for Gina live!!! You are just too cute. And I have to say, maybe I *haven’t* been pronouncing Fitnessista quite right like I said 😀 Ooops. Where do you get the “misto”?? I have never seen or heard of this before! Do you put your own oil in it?? I need one it looks so handy. Also- good look on the run!!! Hope you’re feeling ready. I am rooting for you! Gina, gina, gina!
thank you!
i got the misto at williams sonoma and yes, you put your own oil in there. you can even flavor it if you’re feeling fancy 🙂
I got mine at Target several years ago.
ive been wondering how you do this but didnt want to be a goober and ask. thanks!
Love it! I always wondered if you could make egg puffs with the yolk! Thanks for the video- I’ll definitely be having some egg puffs in the near future. 🙂
omg i was just gonna ask you how you make egg puffs yesterday! but then i felt silly (i am a fairly new reader of your blog) so i figured it must be somewhere.
so thank you!
your blog is awesome, keep up the good work and have a fab time in orlando!
So funny you posted this today… I just tried to find a post yesterday on your site telling me how you make it. Thanks! Have a fun weekend at the princess!
That video was so cute!! Thanks for the tip. It’s great that you make it in the microwave, bc now I can try it in my dorm haha
Thanks for the video, i’ll have to try that! i love videos 🙂 You are right, SO much easier to understand.
you have the most annoying voice ever. like omigod?!!! it’s a shame too because you seem like such a nice person. unfortunately, your speaking voice makes you sound stupid 🙁
ok…
i think you’d know from reading my blog that i am definitely not stupid
your comment doesn’t make you seem like a nice person…
PS i can tell from the ip address who actually wrote this comment
Haha, gotta love IP tracking. The haters are usually too dim to know how the back end of blogs work. 🙂
Your comment makes you sound stupid!
Whereas your needless comments just make you sound like a bitch.
I actually love your voice. It’s very nice and you don’t yell or talk too fast. Perfect in my opinion.
thank you, lovely!
Don’t like it, Don’t watch it…You must have some interest in our beloved “fitnessista” if you’re visiting her blog =) Take the negativity somewhere else..
PS! I loved watching the video! and I 2nd the request for the Bfast cookie video! I tried it once and it was a disaster lol I think watching it it may be easier haha =)
Ahhh you’re just so cute! Good luck on the run!
Boo Bori! That wasn’t very nice.
Fitnessista – you’re super cute and thanks for sharing this video. Good luck on the half! Don’t let the haters get you down. 🙂
thanks lauren! <3
Though I don’t eat eggs, I still loved the video! And your countertops are rockin'(gorgeous, too)!
thnaks, ian! i always love hearing from the guys in blogland 🙂
Thanks for the video! You have the cutest voice, don’t listen to that rude comment above. You should pitch yourself to the food network as a raw chef, I think you’d be great! 😀
i would love that! i definitely think they need a vegetarian chef on the show 🙂
Thanks for the video! I have never microwaved an egg before, I guess it I do it the long way!!! Now I can make/have eggs a lot more often, since its so quick 🙂
LOL & WTF @ bori–wow. just wow. what planet did you come from? it’s probably best if you just crawl back under that rock you’ve probably been living under for the past 10 years and try to think of something productive to do, rather than dropping 12 year-old insults on a successful food blogger’s page.
ps- GTFO.
Hi Gina! I LOVE your blog! It’s an everyday inspiration to eat healthy, workout, and try new things for me. I’d been wondering how to make the egg pugg, so thanks for the video! I don’t know why rude people even bother to comment…
*puff* 🙂
thanks for the video! do you think you’ll be doing the “weekly moves” videos again soon? I loved the lunge and lift 🙂
yes, i will most definitely get back into that!
Yay!…the glorious egg puffs…..i got up and did a little happy dance when i saw the title of your post….thank you so much girl, u r right about how sometimes u just have to watch how things are done rather than reading or hearing about it! :)…thank you, thank you and thank you!…i foresee a lot of egg puffs in my immediate future :)…gonna show my hubby your video.
And Bori- what is your problem!…Gina is amazing…she inspires so many people…so pls get lost in your world of indecency.
Gina, Good luck in your race…just ‘Enjoy’ it!!!
And thank you so much for the ‘pre pregnancy’ post…i want to start trying next year, so i think i need to start prepping the oven 🙂
Good luck dear!
Thanks for the instructional video. I agree with all the previous comments to do a breakfast cookie “how to”. Good luck on the half this weekend ;
Evey
thats a great idea- i’ll definitely do one
As I’m typing this I’m “chowing down” on an awesome Puffed Egg! Your video made me curious so I got right up and tried making one myself. Texas Pete and all. It’s a perfect little snackie, thanks for the video!
Also, don’t worry about the “Bori’s” of the world. It’s too bad there are people who feel good about putting others down. Your blog is such a success and you should be so proud of yourself for it. Keep up the good work girl!
thanks lovely 🙂
Nice touch to add a video. As soon as we saw this video, I think most of us thought “now do a breakfast cookie one!” How funny.
You’re blog has inspired me to change so much of my eating habits.
Can you tell me where to get Maca powder though?
great video.
Your house looks amazing!!
