Sweet Friday Giveaway

It’s another lovely, cool day over here. It’s very refreshing to walk outside without being blasted with heat.
I’m a little late blogging this morning since I had to take my car to the dealership to be serviced. The good news is that they offered me a loaner car to have for the day, but I can’t find the emergency brake on it and keep picturing it rolling back from the driveway and crashing into our across-the-street neighbor’s mailbox.
I packed up some oats with almond milk and a crumbled Chocolate Cherry Torte Larabar to take with me to the dealership:
and couldn’t help but notice this surplus of almonds while I was scrounging for breakfast ingredients.
Since it would take forever to polish off that giant bag of almonds by myself, I think they’re destined for macaroon glory.
So how about a little giveaway?
Since the weather is cooling down, I thought it would be fun to talk about how you change and adapt your workouts in the fall weather.
For this giveaway, just leave a comment and let me know what your favorite fall/winter workout is. For me, I take more of my workouts outside to take advantage of the cooler temps, and when it actually gets to the freezing point, lots of hot yoga to warm up.
I’ll pick a random winner tonight at midnight and announce in my am post. The winner will receive a batch of macaroons in a flavor of their choice (chocolate, mocha, blonde, super roon, almond butter chocolate, Meyer lemon lavender).

I love running outside in the fall and winter. Something about the treadmill makes me so depressed!
I LOVE going for hikes to get exercise during the fall! Nothing better than that crisp autumn air! 🙂
Hot ashtanga yoga class, for sure. I love it year round, but it really warms the bones in fall/winter!
Winter is perfect for running. It’s cooler and dark earlier so no messy sunlotion needed!
I do the exact same thing! Fall hits and I’m hiking and running and then went winter comes I run to my bikram studio!
In the last 2 weeks Texas temps have dropped a bit, so I’ve been wogging (walking/jogging) to the park trail that’s close to my home. My total route is about an hour to the park and back home. I love starting my day outdoors instead of the gym. The fresh air, friendly people, cute dogs, and deer running around make my mornings feel awesome. When it gets too cold…even for the gym I do more DVD workouts at home.
Chocolate macaroons sound really good right now…… 🙂
I am currently working on my new workout plan after my half marathon in two weeks. I am looking forward to doing a lot more of my cardio sessions outside this fall – running, biking, walking, even some plyometrics – loving the weather right now in Central Florida:)
My favorite fall workout is really just going for walks outside in that crisp fresh air. I love throwing on a big comfy sweater and just heading out the door. It’s a beautiful time of year!
The thing I love about Arizona is being able to run/swim/bike outside all fall/winter 🙂 This is the perfect time to get outside and workout without the risk of heatstroke or having to wake up at 5:00am.

my favorite fall workouts are long walk/run hikes on one of the many trails here in CT. The fall foliage is starting to make its way into oranges, yellows, and reds and when it does there is nothing better than blazing a trail through the dense leaves. Amazingly invigorating.
I loveeee biking riding in the fall! Pretty much anything outside is great in the fall. The weather is perfect!
I’m in Alberta, Canada, so we get a lot of time to focus on fall/winter workouts! LOL

I have been training for a half marathon and I seem to get my cardio in! This winter my goal is to start strength training! Operation six pack it is!!!!
My favorite Fall workout would have to be running outside. The leaves are turning colors and it’s just beautiful. Not to mention the perfect temperature!

My favorite workout in the fall is running! Utah has amazing fall scenery and the best way to check it all out is to run through it!!
I love running in the Fall but when the time changes…unfortunately I’m on the treadmill! I do my Physique 57 in my living room while my kids nap too…Love!

RUNNING! I love running outside in this weather. No worries of extreme dehydration. No sweat dripping in my eyes. It is so pleasant and peaceful when the weather is cool.
When fall runs around, I get the itch for loooooong runs. The cool air makes 10 milers so much easier, and the leaves are beautiful!
When the snow comes around, I start hitting the pool for a great cardio/ full body workout.
My favorite fall workout I’ve only done one time so far this fall! A bunch of my friends (guys and girls) got together and played some touch football, some touch rugby and bit of ultimate frisbee together in a local park a couple weeks ago. It was my first time doing all of those things and as you would say, it was a blasty! I didn’t even feel like I was getting a workout…until the next day when nearly everything was a little sore.
I definitely do a lot more hot yoga– it’s the only workout I crave when it gets cold!

I live in rainy seattle so I use your stretch video and do some yoga in mornings and hit the gym at night! So it gives me encouragement!
My favorite fall workout is walking with my husband before dinner. It helps us catch up on the day and sneaks in a little exercise! 😉
My favorite fall workout addition is going for more walks with my pup outside – I have a pug and the summer (even in Canada) is just too hot and humid for her to go out for long without getting overheated! Fall is perfect.
My fave fall workout is definitely running outside – nothing like the crisp air to motivate me to get runnin!

I love going for walks in the evenings after work with my husband, and I enjoy being able to come inside (when it gets too cold) and run on the treadmill… I feel like I can get caught up on all the new fall tv shows!
I can’t wait for cool weather with bike riding and jogging outside!
When the weather cools down, I tend to take more walks outside and appreciate nature and the seasons changing, instead of being so frustrated with how hot it is outside.

I take advantage of all things outside during the fall and winter. Living in Austin, temps are in the 100s everyday during the summer – not conducive to being outside! I love being outside before the sun comes up with my running group on Saturday mornings – crisp air, good company and a sense you’ve accomplished something before the rest of the city is awake!
Being in Canada, cooler September outdoor runs end for me and I move it indoors to spin & kettlebell classes. I would love love love to try some of your famous macaroons 🙂

I can relate to the brutal heat you experience. I live in Las Vegas and excerising outside has been impossible the past few months. I am signing up for outdoor bootcamp classes next week. Can’t wait!
Fall means long distance racing season for me!!! Training in coolor tempatures… very welcomed after this summer!!!
I like to move from running to spinning in the fall! Especially as the weather gets so cold here on the northeast!
I try to take more classes in the winter because the cold weather makes me sluggish. If I had it my way I’d never leave my cozy bed :). A group atmosphere gets my motivation up!
