Week of giveaways: Tiny Devotions- ENDED
Yesterday’s Five Bamboo giveaway winner:
Congratulations! Send me your size and color preferences to fitnessista at gmail dot com (subject: FIVE BAMBOO WINNER) and I’ll forward your info to the giveaway fairy.
Today’s giveaway is very near and dear to my heart
not the cupcake (even though they were delicious…)
or the ice cream….
the bracelets!
I love, love the mala beads that Tiny Devotions sent me a year ago. [AutoCorrect changed “‘mala’ to ‘male.'” I got a good laugh out of that.] I really think they bring me luck and good energy. I put the bracelets on when I’m having an “off” day and something about looking down to see them makes me feel better and turn things around. Whenever I need an extra boost or bit of good vibes, you can bet our booty I have my mala beads on. Each color cord has a different meaning, so you can choose to wear one or two, or the entire stack.
From their website:
“Our Tiny Devotions mala beads are perfect for beginnings and endings – goals, struggles, worries, dreams, intentions and prayers.
Mala beads transcend cultures and religions and can be found in some form in nearly every tradition around the world.
The word bead, historically coming from the word “prayer” or “to pray”.
These sacred and beautiful beads help us live in the moment – staying present to the beauty of life.
We combine rudraksha seeds with semi precious crystals and pearls to create beautiful designer malas that each have their own specific intention. Rudraksha seeds are known as the eyes or tears of Shiva – and are worn for their protective and sacred qualities.”
Tiny Devotions kindly offered to send a lucky reader the abundance stack of mala beads, valued at $108.

Ready, set, go!
A goal for myself is to make dinner at least 4 nights a week every week … if not 5 or 6 nights.

LOVE this giveaway! My goal is to increase my endurance and strength substantially by the end of the summer. I’m a nurse and I notice that at the end of a long work-week, my back just aches. I think that strengthening my back muscles will do me wonders and keep me from getting injured at work!
I recently set a goal of spending 5 minutes everyday thinking about everything I’m grateful for. I’ve only been doing it for a short while, but so far I’m loving it, because it’s such a great mood booster!
i love doing that, too! <3

My biggest goal is to find a big girl job since I graduate in Dec. Eek!
My goal is to finish school.
I just had a baby girl 3 weeks ago and have been stressing on how I will lose the weight. My goal is to just continue to eat healthy and take walks until I’m cleared for exercise and instead if stress I am going to just enjoy my time with my precious girl and appreciate what my body created 🙂
Hi Jennie, I just wanted to say I was in the same boat as you a few months ago until I realized I have my whole life to be in shape, but I only have a few precious months to be with my baby while he’s all tiny, and needs me.
Congradulations!
congratulations to you! do NOT stress about losing weight- it will happen for you <3 that snuggle time is the best ever, live it up
xoxo
My goal is to bring a healthy lunch from home 4 days a week, rather than buying the unhealthy stuff around the office!
My goal is to put enough trust in my gut from here on out.
A goal I have set for myself is to just become a happier person in general. I have had some health problems that have brought me down to a sad place, but I am beginning to learn to be grateful for the good things that life has given me, it really is the easiest way to live. My goal is to not constantly dwell in the bad things that have happened, but move forward in a positive direction for the sake of my future. It is definitely a day by day process! 🙂
I recently met one of my longtime goal of getting into an RD internship. Now that I’ve been accepted my next goal is to do my best at kicking it’s butt! I’ll be moving away from my husband for 8 months to do it, it will not be easy but I’m trying to focus on the reward.
My goal this summer is to not lose sight of myself. Time is going so fast and with work, church, and other personal commitments, the days can get bogged down in just keeping up with things! I want to make sure each and every day has room for giving thanks for my blessings and appreciating each day.
My #1 goal right now is to get six pack abs! I am on Mission: Six Pack Abs with clean eating, lots of weights, and HIIT training. It’s actually been really fun!
Alas, my goal should be how to effectively use Twitter. I *think* this is the link to my tweet, but I’m not sure if this is available to the public or only viewable from my account. Well, I tried 😉

I’m not sure when, but I will deadlift 2x my bodyweight one day.
My goal for the summer is just to keep up with my running even with the heat and humidity. Even better would be if I could run a 10 K at the end of the summer!
I trained for a half marathon last summer and had a knee injury occur three weeks before the race. I wasn’t sure if I would ever run again, but I’ve been working a lot on knee strength and hope to run a 5k this year. Starting at the beginning makes me more grateful for what I was able to accomplish in the past!
My goal is to have at least 2 servings of veggies at every meal!
my goal is to finally move on from interning to a real job!!
To complete one month of personal training!
A goal I set for myself for 2012 is to run 1,000 miles in the year!
One of my goals this summer is to learn more about myself through my yoga practice. I’m in medical school, but I truly believe the healing begins with the small steps you take everyday (rather than at the doctor’s office – ya know, where I will probably spend a lot of my life). So, about a month ago, I took a small step: I bought a yoga mat. Now I go to yoga twice a week and I’m learning about my body and myself.
My goal is to complete your summer shape up. I just started reading your blog and love it!
My goal for myself is to run a full 5K over Labor Day weekend. I have surround myself with positive, supporting friends and for the first time in my running “career,” I actually feel like I meet this goal.
I have always loved your devotions beads! A goal I have for this summer is a triathlon in August. I’m good with the running and biking, but the swimming is another story…
My goal is to run 27 miles on my 27th birthday this year.
My goal: to spend at least 15 minutes a day reading/relaxing/doing yoga….just having some peace and calm, sans television/computer/phone.
this is a great giveaway! i’ve set a couple fitness-related goals for myself this year: 5 pull-ups, unbroken, and consistent work on my mobility/stretching.
My goal each day is to do the best and be the best I can be 🙂
A goal for myself: Stop letting the little stuff bother me.
My goal is to live in the moment, and not let anxiety or worry prevent me from enjoying all that is good in my life!
My Tweet: “I want to win @tinydevotions from @fitnessista! #happyblogiversary”
I have 2 goals currently. To continue to rehab my ankle and return to normal activity, I’m shooting for the 1 year surgery anniversary. The second goal is to take and pass the American College of Sports Medicine Clinical Exercise Specialist exam by the end of 2012. I guess it’s really 3 goals, or maybe 1 with mini goals? My desire is to return to work. I want to teach group fitness and personal train again. I want life to return to normal.
My goal…which one to choose. I just turned 40 and i’m trying to focus on a 40 and Fierce attitude. I use that mantra for the many goals I have identified to achieve in the near future…weight loss, patience, inspiration and an overall positive attitude toward the challenges of life.
My goal is to set a new 1/2 marathon PR – I need to beat 2:01 and am shooting for 1:55! I tweeted also! https://twitter.com/JReinhart11/status/210032374283640832
I want to commit myself to meditation. My studio does a 40-day challenge and I’m really interested in participating. I love, love, love mala.
I recently signed up for a half marathon in October! My goal is to train hard and stay dedicated!
My goal is to move my body every day this summer….whether it be running, walking, hiking…..
I’m traveling this summer, so my goal is to establish an “at home” yoga practice 3 times per week since I can’t get to my regular studio.

My goal is to run a marathon in October!
I have two goals for this summer: one is to be more mindfull everyday, and the other is to train for the Dublin City Marathon. Love those beads!
I am 2.8 pounds away from a birthday goal weight I set for myself a while back. At the time, I couldn’t seem to string together more than 1 healthy week and losing weight seemed *hopeless*. I remember thinking the goal weight was just another pipe dream. I stopped thinking about being *perfect* and decided to just start *something*, so I made a pact to do something active every day (a lot of days I never made it to the gym but just walked the dogs). Slowly but surely working out felt good again and I logged more gym time. Now, here I am…on the verge of reaching my goal!
My goal right now is to keep on top of my training for my first half marathon this fall!
My goal is to loose those few stubborn pounds left after having my daughter!
My goal is to finish my Associate Degree and I am in school now, I will be a graduate next Spring………….! It’s been yrs since I took classes, now it’s all coming together……..:)
I cant believe I am even admitting this but Im a workout aholic and health nut but I have one terrible habit- I smoke. Ive set a goal to go into my thirties smoke-free (my birthday is in May)… so far its been very hard but Im pushing thru. I did have some roadblocks but I keep on trucking. The heardest part for me is to not smoke when Im out and have a drink or two. So I guess my goal is to not pick up that cigarette when Im having a drink or with friends who do smoke. I think this is hardest thing Ill do but it has to be done.
