Tony devotions

I love, love the mala beads that Tiny Devotions sent me a year ago. [AutoCorrect changed “‘mala’ to ‘male.'” I got a good laugh out of that.] I really think they bring me luck and good energy. I put the bracelets on when I’m having an “off” day and something about looking down to see them makes me feel better and turn things around. Whenever I need an extra boost or bit of good vibes, you can bet our booty I have my mala beads on. Each color cord has a different meaning, so you can choose to wear one or two, or the entire stack.

From their website:

“Our Tiny Devotions mala beads are perfect for beginnings and endings – goals, struggles, worries, dreams, intentions and prayers.

Mala beads transcend cultures and religions and can be found in some form in nearly every tradition around the world.

The word bead, historically coming from the word “prayer” or “to pray”.

These sacred and beautiful beads help us live in the moment – staying present to the beauty of life.

We combine rudraksha seeds with semi precious crystals and pearls to create beautiful designer malas that each have their own specific intention. Rudraksha seeds are known as the eyes or tears of Shiva – and are worn for their protective and sacred qualities.”

Tiny Devotions kindly offered to send a lucky reader the abundance stack of mala beads, valued at $108.

Being Indian, I have a mala necklace already and would love to have a bracelet set to go with it. One of the goals I have set for myself is to do yoga 3 times a week.

ooooh mala beads. Love. (the cupcakes look pretty enticing too!)

The next big goal I’m working on is getting back into a workout routine after I get the green light in a few weeks. I didn’t realize how hard it was going to be! I just want to snuggle my little man all the time – who cares about running right?! The plan is to go for a run after his early AM feeding and pop in a Chalean Extreme DVD during an afternoon nap.

Another big one for Patrick & I together is to keep the flame going. ๐Ÿ™‚ We’ve realized just in the first few weeks how much time the baby can take up and how exhausted we are at the end of the night. I miss my husband sometimes and we both realize that its definitely going to take work now to get our time together, but we’re absolutely committed to it!

My goal is to get through the 24 weeks of training for work (I should be done in mid-July) and then treat myself to vacation!

My goal is to get pregnant this year, I’ve been trying for about 6 months so far and had no luck, but I have PCOS which makes things harder, so I could sure use these beads! ๐Ÿ™‚

Mmnnnn cupcakes. ๐Ÿ™‚ one goal I have for myself is to become a more positive person and face little and big challenges with strength and grace rather then panic. I had an unexpected housing issue come up this year and hated feeling panicked and crying about it all the time. So my goal for the rest of the year is to practice zen and calmness when situations come up. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  21. Rebecca on June 5, 2012 at 12:21 pm

I’m starting an internship, and, in addition to two part-time jobs, my goal is to maintain my healthy habits through all the craziness. I don’t have an excuse–one of my jobs is at a hot yoga studio, and I get paid in free yoga (it’s a college student’s dream…yoga in NYC is $$$), so I’m going to force myself to go whenever I can. Sometimes the thought of working out or practicing yoga is much less appealing than watching TV or drinking a beer, but it almost always makes me feel amazing!

  25. Maureen on June 5, 2012 at 12:22 pm

I very recently went through my first breakup. We are taking time apart to become more independent and figure ourselves out (we are both 22). I am going to use this time to set some goals for myself and build my self esteem and confidence. I want to learn a new recipe each week and be able to run for 30 minutes!
