10/4: Friday Faves {sneak giveaway}

Livi now asks me to please braid her hair most mornings. She’ll tell me if she wants a braid, Dorothy braids or a bun. I tell ya.

-Salmon tacos. We had taco night this week, and this 15-minute meal was blackened salmon with lettuce, avocado and a cumin-lime yogurt sauce on corn tortillas. I heated up some black beans to go with it and boom! Dinner was served.

-A new kombucha scoby! The “mother” scoby is usually only good for about 3 batches, and none of my baby scobies were strong enough, so it was time to replenish the stash. I have a giant batch of kombucha fermenting away in the pantry and am so excited to play with some holiday-esque flavors ๐Ÿ˜‰

-Physique 57’s new website and an all-new cardio sculpt option for their online classes. I haven’t been able to do P57 at home with half marathon training, but I’m so excited to check out their new workouts when the half is over. If you check out the new ones, let me know how they are!

-Fall decor. As soon as this post publishes, I’m heading out to the garage to bring in all of the Halloween decorations. Scary excited ๐Ÿ˜‰

    I’m biking to the farmer’s market tomorrow (about 8 miles), then taking a 5 mile fall trail hike on Sunday with my husband and dog Monkey. Time to enjoy this weather before it’s gone!

    My husband amd I will be running 9 miles tomorrow to prepare for our half-marathon next weekend. I can’t believe the race is so soon! After training all summer, I won’t know what to do with myself when it’s over.

    I love those shoes!! We just found out I am pregnant with #2.. I plan to squeeze a run in this weekend while pushing the BOB.. I will undoubtedly be thinking about how terrible pushing a double BOB will be!

    This is a light weekend for exercise due to commitments, however, I am going to squeeze an early morning 1 hour StikeFit class (heavy weight bag) on Saturday before my events. This is an all body workout at my local CrossFit gym and we do everything from running to burpees, core work, etc. Last night, we ran 200 meters carrying a 75 pound dummy (with a partner). Of course, we also spend time punching and kicking the heavy weight bags. I love the diversity the class offers and you can burn massive calories while having an hour of fun! These shoes would be great for StrikeFit and CrossFit which I also do as part of my fun workouts!

    My fitness plan is to get in a great weights workout and possibly a UJam session (super fun). I went on a beautiful 4 mile run this morning, which was a great way to start off my weekend fitness plans!

    I would LOVE a pair of those! I did my first non-swimming, non-running workout this week in a LOOONG time wearing running shoes and my feet were HURTING. My workout plan this weekend is to tackle a 7 miler – eek! Longest distance I’ve run in about 5 years!

    I’m doing a tech rehearsal for a show I have on Saturday tonight. I do the show tomorrow (I dance hip hop) ๐Ÿ™‚ Also I have 2 rehearsals on Sunday, one from 11-3pm and the other from 7-9!! Dance is my life! ๐Ÿ˜€
