Stitch Fix Holiday
Hi friends! How’s your night going? I’m enjoying a little holiday with Stitch Fix in San Francisco, which is one of my favorite cities to visit.
(With Raechel, Kacia, Jenna, Julie and Quinn, the mannequin)
They invited a few blogger friends and myself to come check out the headquarters, enjoy some fun events, and stay in a beautiful vacation home while we’re here. When Julie and I arrived from the airport last night, Raechel was already at the house (Kacia got in later in the evening), Christmas music was playing,
candles were lit, and the house was gorgeously decorated for the holidays. Our Stitch Fix friends even stocked the place with wine and chocolateโฆ the keys to my heart ๐
After Kacia got in, we all stayed up chatting until 2am, and then woke up early to start the day’s events.
It was my first time visiting the headquarters, and I was blown away. I expected it to be awesome, but really had no idea.

It was so exciting to meet many of the people I’ve known virtually for the past year. We were introduced to different stylists, marketers, buyers, the VP, CEO (who is a huge inspiration of mine), and many talented men and women who work for the company. I finally got to meet Margaret, who is my stylist and puts together all of my Stitch Fix boxes. Even though I’ve never officially hung out with her, I feel like we’re BFFs ๐ I feel like she knows me, since she always picks amazing pieces for my fixes.
It was so intriguing to get an inside look at the company and the many behind-the-scenes processes to provide such wonderful customer service in additional to high-quality personal styling. If you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix before, it’s a monthly box company -you can get a “Fix” as often or as little as you like- with clothing and accessories. A stylist picks out pieces based on your unique preferences and body type. You keep what you like (and pay for those pieces) and send back the rest. You can read more about it in my first SF post (most recent one is here).
We got take part in a “Flash” where buyers present potential products to the stylists, and did our own styling session in which we picked fixes for “hypothetical customers.” Turns out that the hypothetical customers were ourselves.
This is what I picked out for Jenna, without knowing it was for her:
When lunchtime roller around, we picked up food from Sentinel:
(Chicken mole salad, which was outta this world)
and enjoyed it picnic-style in a nearby park.
After lunch, it was back to headquarters for more events, including taking Quinn on a scenic tour of San Francisco.
We had picked out outfits for various scenarios, and drove around town for photo ops with Quinn in each outfit. A mannequin scavenger hunt of sorts:
(cue the “Full House” theme songโฆ and Uncle Jesse’s hotness. Did I just say that?)
The Mrs. Doubtfire house!
(“One lump or two, dear? Ooohhh, it’s a little cappuccino!”)
Quinn, all dressed up for a romantic picnic:
We’re back at the house relaxing for a little while before heading out to dinner. Tomorrow, we’ll get the first look at the warehouse, aka The Hizzy, and will see how Fixes are assembled and shipped.
Hope you had a wonderful day! See ya in the morning with a new dance cardio video.
xoxo
Gina

I can’t wait to receive my first fix on Nov. 19 – thanks for telling us all about it! ๐
Love San Fran . Stitch fix is awesome. How fun
So I’ve always wanted to BE Carrie Underwood, but can I be you for a day?! Haha. Sounds like you’re having a blast!
In all seriousness though….I’m curious: on average, if you were to keep everything in your box, how much would it cost? I have been wanting to try stitch fix but I’m afraid of getting myself in a $300 a month habit haha.
I LOVE this post! I just referred a friend who has lost a considerable amount of weight to Stich Fix. She’s super excited! ๐

Stitch fix is a great idea – and I’ve loved the pieces that I’ve seen on your blog and a few others – but it seems too expensive for me and the big thing is no Canada shipping ๐
This looks like so much fun!! If I had the extra money I would LOVE to try stick fix!!!
I just scheduled my first Stitch Fix and I am so excited to get it. The headquarters looks awesome. Enjoy San Fran!
What a cool experience! I’ve loved following your and other blends experience with StitchFix and can’t wait to try it myself soon. I’ve always dreamed of being a stylist. Visiting headquarters and staying in that home with other bloggers sounds like such a treat!
Looks so fun! Now come down to San Jose and teach a class! ๐ or how about a SoliBeat signing?? Haha

Oh my goodness, you crack me up with your sideline comments!!!! Mrs. Doubtfire in particular. “I don’t work well with the males because I used to beee one.”
i died laughing at this haha

Stitch Fix needs to be available in Canada! It looks awesome!
Tried to post this yesterday but it wasn’t a go. Just visited my beloved state—CA. You have to go to —BIO. On O’Farrell st. This is a gluten free French cafe. I had the best oatmeal- the best ever homemade organic Greek yogurt w/strawberries!! A “take out ” place mainly ( they have 8 seats outside). So good. Enjoy your stay-I love your blog. I learn lots about nutrition-fitness- how to fuel the body!! Thank – you!
I am swooning over that house! It looks adorable. What a fun girls trip ๐
How exciting! I love stitchfix and I’ve always been so impressed with their business. How fun that you get the inside look!
What an awesome experience!
I loved my stitch fixes this summer, but I am a little disappointed this fall…. everything I get seems to be the same version of things i’ve gotten in the past. Also, everything is so dark, lined, baggy/frumpy. ๐ Maybe I need to change my style profile?
That looks like so much fun!! I got a stitch fix card with my popsugar box a few months ago but have yet to use it. And yeah, Uncle Jesse was the best part of Full House…
What a fun trip! I’ve been looking into stichfix but have yet to make the plunge…I already have a sort of shopping addiction ๐
What a fun trip! I LOVE San Fran ๐ I’ve been meaning to check out stitch fix!
This looks like so.much.fun. I just moved back to CA and am living in the North Bay…I loved reading through all the comments to your last post for tips on places to try!
So fun!! Thanks for introducing me to Stitch Fix!
Looks like a great time! Do you (or anyone else) have any idea where the red tree decorations in the living room picture came from? Or what they might be called so that I can google them. They gave me some great decorating ideas and I cannot find them (online) ANYWHERE!
Oh my goodness….that Stitch Fix closet….
All those pictures look beautiful!! I can’t wait to check out more about Stitch Fix!
You would love my giveaway going on right now! The winner gets a free custom cleanse and other healthy eating and fitness goodies! ๐
Sending lots of love from The Skinny on Health,

Holy yes!! I LOVE Stitch Fix!!!! Please give those ladies a big thank you from me in Colorado – they are awesome and it is so cool to see that closet and organization! Wow wow wow! For a gal on a budget living in rural Colorado they bring a sense of fashion and girly-ness into my life that I crave and appreciate! Great post.
This is so cool! I just got my first stitch fix this week! Unfortunately not everything fit perfectly so I don’t think I’ll be keeping but I am excited for my next shipment. I love that last photo.
What an awesome opportunity – how fun!!
Argh, of course you would be in SF the week that I’m out of town for work! Otherwise I’d beg you for a bloggie meet up so that I can meet you – I’m pretty sure we’d be BFFs ๐
LOVE Stitch Fix (which I found out through you) and have spread the word to many friends, but would love to visit the HQ!
I love the idea of Stitchfix, and I keep reading rave reviews about it! I also love that you quoted Mrs. Doubtfire in this post. Best. Movie. Ever.
So fun. I ordered my first fix a few weeks ago and it should be here soon. Can’t wait. ๐
you will love it!
