Total body barre burner
Hi guys! How’s the day going so far? I’m excited to finally get this barre burner posted after my crazy YouTube tech issues. This video took me about 20 times to upload so please give a little thumbs up if you give it a whirl and enjoy it 🙂 This would be a great component to legs day, after cardio, or any time when you want a quick workout.
I haven’t found a good space yet to film videos to share, but I figured in the meantime, I’d film them exactly where many of you would be doing them: in the living room. This way, it really feels like we’re working out together. Since I’ve really fallen in love with barre again -and am thankful that I can enjoy it as part of my weekly routine!- I thought I’d share a total body barre-based workout today. This one is 15 minutes and split up into 3 sets: warmup, legs/booty, and core.
Make sure to warm up before giving it a whirl, and also check with a doc before making any fitness changes. Those with knee, hip, and joint considerations may want to skip this one (lots of small movements and flexion at the knee), but as always, honor your body. It will tell you what it needs and what it can do: it’s just up to us to listen.
Have fun! Let me know if you give it a try and if there are any video workouts you’d like me to post in the coming weeks. Hard to believe that Summer Shape Up is almost here, too!
See ya soon. <3
xoxo
Gina
Thanks for sharing this! I’ve been wanting to try barre for a while but all the barre studios near me are so expensive!
let me know how you like it 🙂 and yes, barre can be $$$
Can’t wait to try this!
let me know if you do!
Can’t wait to watch/try when I get home tonight! Also, LOVE those leggings! You are killin’ it in the wardrobe department lately. 😉
thank you!!
Girl–you’re looking so hawwt! Love those leggings. This looks great. Makes me totally want to go to a barre class now. I should go–there’s like a gazillion studios here in Chi-town. But I always feel like I need more cardio. When you do barre 3 classes do you add in your own cardio before or after or just do cardio on a different day? Just curious!
thank you! i usually do cardio on a different day. if i take a barre3 class, that’s my workout for the day
Oh look forward to trying this!
Yay, I am excited to try this! I always love a good barre workout 🙂
Can’t wait to try it later! Would love to see a calorie-blasting elliptical workout 🙂
I’m so excited to try this! I started adding barre to my routine again last week.
So excited to try this. Can’t wait for Summer Shape up! Ditto on the leggings and your style, lookin’ good! Thanks for the workout
thank you, lovely! xo
Bookmarking to try tomorrow! 🙂
let me know what you think!
Computer issues can be so frustrating! Thanks for the workout. 🙂
I love that this is all at home! Can’t wait to try!
Adding this to my next at home workout day. Thanks for sharing Gina!
let me know how it goes! xoxo
Love your necklace…… Can you share the details? I’ve yet to try a barre workout – I’ll have to give this one a try!
it’s from stitch fix! it’s the only thing i kept from my last box 🙂
I just did this and your Sage Dance stability ball workout and booty burner. Oh, how it all burned! 🙂 I would love to see more stability ball videos.
Also this is a weird suggestion, but– I was having some trouble seeing the position of your feet and legs during the barre part because your tights were sort of blending in with that patterned carpet. I liked your tights, but maybe a solid, bright color would be easier to see? Just a thought for next time, since I know you’re not in the studio or anything.
awesome!! so happy you liked them 🙂
and that’s great feedback. i’ll remember that for next time!
xo
Thanks for sharing! I loveeee barre but have to space out my classes since they are so pricey so this is the perfect in between routine. Love the leggings too!
Thanks so much!! I wanted to sleep in a little this morning so I did this at home instead of going to the gym, and this was perfect. Loved it!!! 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing! I love barre for a low-impact, but effective workout. I’ll let you know when I give it a try!
Loved the video! Sweating hard core! I paired this with the strength tabatta. I also loved you added extra info about working out during different times of the day as well as the oxygen part. Knowing the science behind your body and work out is always a must 🙂
Loved the barre burner! After doing this one, I got curious and found another one of your barre burners on YouTube and did that as well. Thanks so much for posting these motivating, free, informative, challenging videos!!!
so happy you enjoy them!! xoxo
I just did this new workout while my 8 month old napped! I didn’t want to work out but I am so glad I did this now. My buns will be sore tommorow, thanks so much!
Is it wrong to have done this whilst baking chocolate peanut muffins which I can smell whilst I burn!
that is so right haha 🙂
They were so good too! Think you might have liked them Gina! They were over on StoneSoup. Think they were peanut chocolate brownies but I did them in a muffin tin…..there is only one left (not all me I promise!).
I’m 28 weeks pregnant, and loved this video! I used filled coffee canteens as my weights. 😉
Thank you!
Ouch! Loved this. Your workout quickies have been a lifesaver now that I’m back to work and have a 4 month old baby at home. Thank you for being such a valuable resource for busy ladies who want to stay fit!
My best friend and I just ran in the park and did this–we loved it! Gina, your tights are so cute. Where are they from?
Was looking for something quick this morning and this was the perfect thing! Will do it again when I get home tonight 🙂 Thanks, Gina!
Loved this! Perfect addition to my quick morning run.
i love the plank with the bend/straighten leg at the end!!
