Barre-based booty burner

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! Hope your morning is off to a great start.

I taught yoga again last night, and felt SO much better about it. I was pretty nervous last week, so this week I spent a lot of time planning out the sequence, thinking of things/cues I wanted to say, and finding some heart-pumping beautiful music. If youโ€™d like, I can post the sequence in Friday Faves tomorrow.

Today, Iโ€™m excited to share a super fast, super intense barre-based booty burner. I love doing blasts like this in my barre classes, or at home when I just want a quick burn. While I was teaching barre the other night, I told the girls it was time to do glutes, and one of them was like, โ€œYeah, itโ€™s beach season!”

I totally thought she said peach season, and I was like, โ€œItโ€™s always peach season!โ€ haha

aka itโ€™s always a good time to train that booty.

Here are some tips for this short workout:

-Add it in during your next lower body strength session or the next time you want a quick burn

-Make sure your hands are stacked under your shoulders and knees are stacked under your hips

-Pull your belly up and in to engage your core, but keep a gentle and natural curve in your back

-Try to keep both hips parallel to the floor, and your torso still. Your neck should be nice and long the entire time.

This is an awesome and QUICK lower body barre burner. Some of my favorite moves to tone and lift the glutes, in less than 5 minutes. fitnessista.com

Please let me know if you give it a try!

Also, if youโ€™re looking for some new barre videos, check out barre bootcamp here! The videos are still available for now, but Iโ€™ll be pausing them in a bit to get things ready for another barre bootcamp challenge in the fall.

This looks great! We’re getting ready to go out of town and I don’t think I’ll have time for a full workout today, but can definitely squeeze this in. Thanks as always, for the great workout!

Great workout, I’ll have to give it a shot! I’m always looking for ways to work my butt (I tend to do different variations of squats so it’s nice to mix it up!)
