Hi friends! Iโve been waiting for this day for the past few months! Theyโre finally here:
New Fit Guides are available (choose from 6!) and theyโre better than ever.
When I first released the Fit Guides, it was on a subscription basis. The feedback was incredible and everyone seemed to love the plans. The Facebook group was bumping with testimonials from women who felt stronger, more empowered on their fitness journey, and were crushing their personal goals.
When I saw a subscription cancelation notice, Iโd usually send a quick email to see if there was any feedback they could share so I could make the plans better.
The major reason:
It was a subscription.
I totally get it. Iโm particular about subscriptions, too, and so often, Iโd rather pay once and enjoy than have to continue to pay monthly.
So that was a huge change that I made. You pay once, and you get everything:
– 12 weeks of customized workouts to suit your goals and preferences
– 4 weeks of meal plans and grocery lists from a Registered Dietitian (Kim! She is SO amazing at fueling athletes and providing healthy, sustainable meal plans as you work towards your goals)
– 2 bonus follow-along workout videos: HIIT + Strength and Pure HIIT
– Cardio guidelines with extra cardio workouts to do at home or the gym
When you purchase a Fit Guide, you have 5 options to choose from: Benchmark Babe, Cardio Queen, Lean Machine, Fitness Freak, and Home Workout Warrior. (Early postpartum mamas will be referred to my post baby bod plan, which is a safe, effective way to get back in the fitness game after giving birth. Post baby bod advanced is for those who want to take it to the next level.)

Why did I create these plans?
There are a ton of fitness plans in the internet sea, but theyโre designed for one person. One type of exerciser, one type of goal, one type of training style. They donโt take into account personal goals and preferences, but instead loop everything into a general plan or category. Of course, sharing fitness is a GREAT thing, but I thought that there has to be a better way to customize workout plans.
I really wanted to create something different, and something that would cater to the various goals and likes/dislikes that are out there.
For SO long, I received requests to do online personal training. Itโs something Iโd love to do, but Iโd much rather be able to help a lot of people instead of like 5 a month. Itโs something Iโve been trying to figure out since I started the blog, so in order to help as many people as possible, I categorized the 6 most common types of clients I train:
– The Benchmark Babe (working to get started or back in the fitness game. Theyโre setting their benchmark for success!)
– Cardio Queen (the cardio junkie who loves the sweat and endorphins of cardio but may be lacking the fitness front)
– The Lean Machine (the strength training maven who likes to follow a structured muscle split and has goals to increase lean muscle)
– The Fitness Freak (those who love all the classes and all of the fitness equipment! The more variety, the better)
– The Home Workout Warrior (the ones who get in their fitness hustle at home. Theyโre dedicated to their goals, but may need some more structure or variety)
– The early postpartum mama, who wants to get back her fitness levels without compromising the healing process post-birth
These are also the types of clients I LOVE TO TRAIN. I truly enjoy creating fitness plans and have been doing it for a long time. There’s a lot of art and science that went into the design and structure of each plan. Theyโre not something I just threw together; each one was created with purpose (and so much love!). Theyโre like my lil fitness plan babies.

I love that you have fit guides for different levels and loves. Question about modifications on the beginner plan. My injury is in the knee- ruptured ACL,no meniscus, bone on bone joint disease. I need low impact moves. Can I modify this plan to accommodate my body?
what did your doctor or PT say you can do regarding lower body exercises? i would think you could modify, but it’s a decent amount of leg exercises so i don’t want you to feel frustrated that you have to skip those or risk injuring it further

The Ortho said no twisting, no jumping, low impact ok. Flexing and extending ok. I took a low impact group class at the gym last week and could feel the bones clicking and clacking. Maybe it will be better to only do the water aerobics class.
yeah i would wait on it and stick to water for now if that’s what feels good. i hope you continue to heal well <3
Iโm excited to try Lean Machine! Yay! Question on nutrition: do you have specific plans to certain eating styles? Iโm pescatarian, I know how to meal plan for myself but always love new ideas to avoid burnout. Hoping to not get a meal plan full of chicken and beef :-/

we don’t have specific plans (yet). the meal plan isn’t super heavy on the meat and you could swap out chicken recipes for tempeh, fish, or lentils. i hope this helps a little! please let me know if you have more questions.xo
I do classpass in NYC – it isn’t as affordable of an option as it used to be, but I love the variety and ability to visit my favorite studios for a somewhat digestible price so much that I have kept it. I’m looking for something to supplement my studio workouts at home using minimal equipment (adjustable dumbbells up to 50 lbs, hand weights, resistance band) AND something that won’t make my downstairs neighbors hate me (ie. minimal jumping around). How do the lean machine and home workouts stack up? I’d like to avoid adding on the cost of a gym, especially since it gets too cold to run outside in the winter.

for the lean machine plan, it’s really designed for gym access. home workout warrior sounds like it would be perfect, but it depends on the types of classes you take. how many studio classes are you taking each week?
Usually a lot of spin, barre, or pilates. And on avg. 3 classes a week with some running in the mix.
k, i would do something like this:
day 1: home workout warrior total body
day 2: spin
day 3: barre or pilates
day 4: off
day 5: home workout warrior strength (upper, lower, or total) + optional run
day 6: off
day 7: spin or another class
i hope this helps a little! please let me know what you think or if you decide to go for it and need help shuffling things around. you might need to keep some of the HWW exercises low impact for the neighbors ๐

hey! it’s intermediate-advanced. you could definitely modify if you need to!
Hi Gina, what equipment is required for the fitness freak plan? I did Home workout warrior the first time around and was thinking of fitness freak for variety.
fitness freak uses a lot of gym tools: rower, TRX, slam ball, kettlebells, but you can modify for what you have access to. do you have a gym membership?

Yes, I think so! Cardio queen is another good option. It uses more dumbbells than fancy equipment

all of the workouts are different! there are some that are tabata or interval based, but lots of more traditional circuit training
I love it! I so enjoyed the Cardio Queen when I did these the first round and only unsubscribed because we were in the middle of a huge busy move. All settled now and I’m totally in again! I was just thinking how I needed something else after your Summer Shape Up (which was also awesome and I still use the workouts in my routine)

Hi Gina! I would love to try your plans! Iโm torn between the Lean Machine and the Fitness Freak. I love weight lifting and HIIT. I workout at home in my basement, I have an elliptical, step, body pump bench, changeable free weights from 5-50 and some booty bands. Could I do the Lean Machine at home? Thank you!!!!
i think you could! do you have a TRX? or any type of cable system to use? (you could always modify with the bands)
I do not have any type of cable system, TRX or gym membership. But I do have a variety of free weights. would you recommend the home workout warrior then? I don’t want to end up modifying the entire plan if I get the Lean Machine plan and don’t have the proper equipment. But the Lean Machine definitely sounds like me! Help!!
What kind of equipment is needed for the Lean Machine or the Home Workout option? I like to lift at home but do a lot of heavy lifting and barbell work and would like to find a program that incorporates both. Thanks!
the home workout warrior is dumbbells only. lean machine uses more gym equipment like TRX,cable machines, rower, etc

lean machine is more of a traditional strength split. fitness freak includes lots of circuits and gym tools to keep things exciting

I’m excited to start Lean Machine on Monday! I am pretty much a gym rat and spend a solid hour there six days a week – the hardest part for me is going to be dialing it back, in terms of time spent. We shall see!
Question – I am new to a lot of these exercises (TRX squat & reach, for example). I saw reference to an exercise database in the FAQs but I can’t seem to find it on the website. I’m sure I’m missing something but if you could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Great, thank you! I will keep an eye out for new videos. Not sure I can picture the lunge and medicine ball slam, for example? One LAST question – I have a tricky knee that frequently prohibits jumping (which I normally modify by just not jumping!) or single leg motions (split squats, for example). I’ll give it a go and how I make out but if you think of some creative modifications, I’d love it. I’m really DYING of boredom with my current exercises so, again, very excited to try the Lean Machine plan!

I have a question about your post baby bod plan. Are all the exercises safe for someone with diastasis recti? I know youโve dealt with this issue yourself but I wasnโt sure if only some of the exercises are safe or do you give modifications if you have DR? Unfortunately the area where I live only has 1 PT that specializes in pelvic floor therapy and sheโs not taking new patients. ๐ so I am looking for a safe plan to try. I am 14 months postpartum.
