Friday Faves
Hi friends! Happy Friday! Did you have a good Halloween? What are you up to this weekend? I’m looking forward to taking the girls to see Nutcracker (even though the reviews are terrible), family pizza night, and celebrating Día de los Muertos. I’d love to hear what you have going on!
It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. This is where I share some of my fave finds from the week, and always enjoy hearing about the things you’re loving, too. Please join in the fun and shout out one of your faves in the comments section!
Halloween fun:
(Liv was Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and P was princess Jasmine. My Hocus Pocus shirt is from Etsy!)
(I was Frida for girls’ night but on the actual holiday, time was in warp speed and after getting the girls ready, all I had time to for myself was put on a Halloween tee and jeans.)
(Look at lil EJ! I can’t.)
Halloween was such a blast this year. This is really the first year where I don’t feel like I have a *baby* which is equally tragic and thrilling. The girls and I were able to stay out late trick-or-treating with the fam, there were zero bottles or tired meltdowns, and it was just pure joy. We went to our standard spot in 49ers (we have some family who live there) and as usual, they went ALL OUT. The decor is so extra in the best way possible. My very favorite house was a Pirates of the Caribbean set up. I felt like I was in Disneyland. Check out their bar area!
Apparently they’re notorious for extreme Christmas decorations so we’ll be back for a stroll with hot cocoa in hand.
For trick-or-treating, it was my dad, stepmom, Maxie the Westie (who rode in her dog stroller in a magenta genie costume), Kyle, Meg, Everly, two of their friends and their little guy, Uncle E, and nana. It was a great time. <3

I’m really into the Hanging out and Relaxing Station on Spotify. I love it when I’m writing because I don’t know any of the songs, so I’m not singing in my brain. 😉 As the name indicates, it’s ideal chill music.

Omg I loved this:
Fitness fashion + beauty:
My friends at CALIA sent me this amazing full-zip hybrid puffer jacket. It’s so lightweight and incredible warm! I love the construction of the jacket, too. It feels really durable and like it’s well-made. I know I’m going to wear it a lot this winter!
Picked up this pair of APL sneakers in the Victorian Red color. I love them with destroyed jeans, leggings and a sweater, and with my workout gear. They’re very comfortable and I like that the red is a pop of color without being *too much.*
New Beautycounter product alert! I just ordered this moisturizing duo and my dry wintery skin is feeling pretty stoked about it.
Food + recipes:
Breakfast on repeat: Udi’s gluten-free everything bagels with Kite Hill spread, smoked salmon, and capers.
Ideas for leftover Halloween candy.
Can’t wait to try these pumpkin collagen bites.
Happy Friday, friends!

Wow, your hair looks SO long and gorgeous!!! And the girls’ costumes are so cute – and your Frida look was spot on! Have a great weekend 🙂
That video comparing 80’s moms to today is so great! So true I love it.
And good to know about 49’ers Christmas decorations! Winterhaven is always such a zoo and that might be good alternative (we have extended family living there also) 🙂
Love your costumes! You all looked great!
I’m looking forward to Penn State football (even though they’ll probably lose) and attending a Bacon Fest on Sunday!!!!
I’ve been thinking of getting APL sneakers! Would you wear them to work out (run, HIIT, strength training) at all?
I would wear them to lift weights and maybe short intervals. They don’t have enough cushion for me for longer runs
Awesome costumes! Love Liv’s expression 🙂
Everly looks so much like Meg in that pic. So cute!
That video was hilarious! I sadly remember the 80s too well 😉
Have a fun weekend!
What lipstick are you wearing in the Calia jacket photos?!?!? Love it!
Color intense in brunch! My fave right now 🙂 https://www.beautycounter.com/ginaharney?goto=/product/color-intense-lipsticks
The jacket looks lovely on you, great color! I think we are about the same height/build- what size did you get?
Thank you! I love the colors, too! I got a small and it fits great.
