Bella is.
(The Pilot and I call her โSmushy Faceโ when she wakes up like that- one side of her fur is smushed down from sleeping)
Last night was SUCH a blasty <3
Before leaving to meet up with the girls, I had a fashion crisis (the kind where you donโt like anything you own, change 8 times and end up wearing what you started with) and in the process forget my lens for my camera :/ So instead, some iPhone photos:
We ate at the B Line cafe on 4th ave, a super cute restaurant that looks like the inside of a train car. They have a pretty diverse menu (quesadillas, tacos, pasta, salads, burgers), an incredible wine and beer selection and a rotating tower of dessert that was to die for:
There was a salted chocolate caramel tart that would beckon to me every time it would spin aroundโฆ. ๐ After this detox is over, I may be back for it.
I enjoyed a salmon salad with extra veggies instead of cheese:
It was BEAUTIFUL. The salmon was as big as my face and cooked perfectlyโฆ win win ๐
After our dinner, we walked down to Breakout, where our friend Cameron was performing.
Heโs a Michael Jackson impersonator- an incredible one. Iโm not even a huge MJ fan, but its always fun to watch insanely talented people do their thang ๐
This morning, I had a bowl of protein ice cream with a crumbled amazeball on top:
-1 C almond milk
-1 C frozen organic strawberries
-2 scoops protein (Sun Warrior and Dr)
-1 T raw cacao powder
-1 T decaf espresso powder
-cinnamon
โamazeball
It wasโฆ amazeballz ๐
Iโm off to drag Smushy Face out of bed and take her to the park or Farmerโs Market. We definitely need some groceries in the casa and Bella will love the attention and fresh air.
Later today, Iโm getting a Keratin treatment on my hair (itโs my first one- we were finally able to fit it in my schedule) and meeting some friends for yoga.

Major props for resisting that tart- it sounds amazing! So cool that one of your friends is an MJ impersonator. Iโm not a big fan either, but I think dancing like him takes SERIOUS talent!
On our my husband and Iโs honeymoon, the resort had a Michael Jackson impersonator and it was So fun to watch! And I love Bellaโs face. Itโs pretty similar to mine when I wake up =]

You will love the keratin treatment! It rocks! I love getting it done, of course your hair seems so pretty always, mine is frizzy, I have naturally curly hair, yes I was blessed with a afro ; ) so it really helps my hair : )

On friday I was having a major major fashion crisis. Thankfully I went shopping this weekend and got a lot of new clothes and accessories to brighten up my wardrobe again.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but those keratin treatments are actually pretty heinous to your health and your hair.

A blog post from a friend of mine and stylist who actually researched the process (and went so far as to take a class on it), and why she will not offer them in her salon.
I just thought you might want more info. Unfortunately not everything is as good as it seems.
there are quite a few different types of keratin treatments, which is why its not a good idea to generalize them. i researched the type i got done very thoroughly before going through with it, and am happy with my decision

Iโve got a keratin treatment twice before (I am actually due for another soon). You will love it!!! Humidity wonโt bother you at all. It is the best! The only annoying thing is that you cannot wash your hair for several days after the treatment. By the last day, I am begging for a hair washing! Plus, you cannot pull your hair back at all during any of those days. Torture for a hair tucker like me. I cannot wait to hear what you think of it!

Your hair is gorgeous!!! I am not sure what kind of Keratin treatment youโre getting and I donโt mean to be negative, but if you google Keratin treatment oprah, there is quite a controversial thread on it. I looked into it myself and was a little nervous after I read that. That being said, my sister has had several and has always had good luck. : ) Iโm sure it will turn out fabulous!

ahhh I had the same crisis last night. I ended up in exactly what I started except my whole closet was thrown around the room and I was a half hour late. Hate when that happens!
I think everyone has that clothes crisis every once in a while (or everyday like me!)

you are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE the keratin treatment! Itโs pretty much the same as a brazilian blowout from all the reading Iโve done (just different names and a slightly diff process) but I loved my brazilian. Itโs been about 6 mos since i got it done and itโs worn off and I need to get another one. Canโt wait to hear how you like yours!! Please keep us updated!

The B Line cafe is a favorite for drinks after work. That salmon salad might be mine next time we go. I was thinking of checking out that MJ event but completely forgot about it until about 8:15 last night. I bet it was a blast to see.

Itโs cool they gave you extra veggies rather than cheese. Usually they only sub extra veggies for something like rice or whatever. Looks delish! And Iโm glad you had a great time. ๐
