Child of the Wild
Eh, this place is ok I guess 😉
Howdy from the Smoky Mountains! We got in late last night and I haven’t seen a ghost or been captured by a sasquatch yet, so I’d say that’s a win 😀 The scenery is a double win.
We definitely hit some traffic on the way up:
But after making it through Hotlanta, it wasn’t too shabby.
Bella munched a chicken breast from Sonic:
And I munched sauerkraut.. straight out of the jar.
Classy lady 😀
The drive up the mountain gave me MAYJAH heeby jeebies, but once we got here and I was in jammies with a cup of tea,
Things were bueno.
(The snowman mug and the Vitamix follow me wherever I go)
I also brought some organic fruits and veggies with us:
After staying up late chatting with the in-laws, we crashed out and woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon.
I had my “eggs and bacon”…. a sludge!
Festive, no?
It had:
-1.5 cups almond milk
-1 scoop Sun Warrior vanilla protein
-lots of spinach
-a banana
-1/2 t spirulina
-sprinkle of Stevia
-foodgasms
I’m not sure what’s going on the rest of the day, but the pilot’s madre, sis and nephew should be here soon. I know there’s a yoga podcast in the near future along with a glass of vino 😉
Have a wonderful day!
xoxo,
Gina
Glad you made it safely! You have me craving ‘kraut now 🙂

I hope all three (yes the pup, included) have a very Merry Christmas filled with indulgence, joy and happiness. You deserve the very best <3
hey gina-
I see that you have your own version of breakfast while others enjoy theirs.. do you ever come across any problems with family members that aren’t familiar with eating raw/vegetarian? sometimes my family doesn’t understand my eating habits.. and it can make all quite uncomfortable. any suggestions?
thanks!

i’ll write about that in tonight’s post! thanks for the idea!

Gorgeous scenes! Glad you had a safe trip! 🙂
Hey Gina, I would like to echo Maris above. I know you’ve dealt with this before, but I can’t seem to find the appropriate post in your archives. If you get a chance, maybe you could link to the post where the blog discussed how to deal with people who hate on healthy?
here’s the link, friend:

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Gina! I’ve been reading your site for over a year but, sadly, this is my first comment! I’m glad y’all had a safe trip up and hope you have a great holiday!
I do have a random comment…I used some of your workouts from the Summer Shape-Up yesterday and I remember you saying you were going to do a Winter Shape-Up sometime after the first of the year. Would it be possible for you to do some printer-friendly workouts? I like to print yours out and take them with me for reference and, maybe it’s just my computer, but some of the pictures and descriptions get cut off when I print straight from the website. It would be a fabby Christmas gift! 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you come up with! (PS: Pec N Press Kicked My You Know What!)
Glad you were able to make it through Hotlanta. I hate the traffic here! Hope you and your Pilot have a fantastic Christmas! 🙂
Welcome to our lovely North Carolina (if that’s the part of the Smokies you happen to be in) :] Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, and enjoy the snow!
Oh, and no worries. I’ve been in those mountains tons of times and never had any trouble with sasquatches or ghosts. Besides, that’s more a Pacific Northwest kind of thing. 🙂
Merry Christmas classy lady 🙂 The mountains look gorgeous, I’m sure you won’t have any troubles with sasquatch!
