Meg: Weekend Wears
This week Iโve been thinking a lot about my intentions for the New Year. Amidst my health and fitness goals I intend to focus more on my personal interests. Itโs easy to let work and schedules consume your time leaving you with minimal time to do what you love (and for those of you who do what you love for a living, CONGRATS! Iโm not quite there yet). That being said, in 2014 I hope to spend more time with photography and fashionโtwo things Iโm passionate about. Iโm thankful Gina gives me the opportunity to share both of those things here on her blog! I hope you enjoy my first installment of a feature I will simply call โWeekend Wearsโ.ย
This past weekend was fairly low key. I have been nursing a bit of a back injury, so coffee dates and trips to the dog park have been pretty much all I can handle. Tucson is experiencing some unseasonably warm weather (my warm wishes go out to all of you experiencing snow and ice!) so many layers havenโt been necessary.ย ย
Today I went with a sweater I thrifted and a pair of jeans I bought from J Crew. Simple. 2014 to me is all about simple styles with pretty details and accessories.ย ย
I accessorized with some simple Madwell stackable rings and and an American Apparel bracelet my friend Heather gave me for Christmas. As for my boots, I canโt seem to take off these Urban Outfitters Ecote booties. They are comfy and I donโt worry about them getting dirty. Last time I checked they were on saleโฆFYI!ย
ย
During the weekend I like to keep make up minimal as well, especially when thereโs not much going on. One of my favorite lip products is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain. The color Iโm wearing is Cherish (my collection is embarrassingly hugeโฆ) itโs pink and pretty and perfect for all occasions.
ย ย
With a spritz of floral perfume I am off to the post office. What did you wear this weekend? Do you have any weekend staples?
Luna says have a great week!ย

so cute! Love that chunky sweater!
Love chunky sweaters this time of year! They are so comfortable!
I love the simplicity of this! The texture of the jumper is stunning xo
I agree wholeheartedly with simplicity on the weekends! Hmmmm sweatpants anybody? ๐ Jk โฆ only part of the time. That first picture of you is STUNNING btw.
Since you’re talking about weekend staples, I’m curious, do you have one or even a few brands of just regular blue jeans that you really like?
My go-to denim brand is Gap! Though I have a few cheap pairs from Forever and a pair from Urban. Gap denim is to die for.
Thank you!! I need to make a mall trip I think! ๐ I’ve always worn pairs from like AE, and, while they do the job, I feel like it might be time to move up to something more durable and flattering! I really enjoy your style posts, keep ’em coming!
Oh my goooossshhhh Luna is soooooooo cute!! I want to squeeze her and never let go!! Is she a french bulldog, or a boston terrier? I can never tell those two apartโฆ.
She is a Boston, and thank you so much! She is the coolest dog I’ve ever had ๐
I love that lipgloss. I’m not brave enough to do pink yet. Maybe spring will give me the motivation to try it. I love those boots too.
Hey Meg!
Fun post. My weekend wear is usually lulu tights, big comfy socks, sweaters, scarfs and a swap between the needed big warm snow boots and the less warm, but better for wet muck, Hunters (ah..Canadian winters..).
Question…what’s your top 3 favourite colours of the Just Bitten glosses?
I had a super pink one that I didn’t end up wearing too much (name forgotten..I have no idea which bag/purse it’s in anymore), and now I am loving “Honey”.
Honey, Crush, and Darling are my favorite!!
i love your weekend style… simple, yet still fashionable!
luna is adorable <3
Meg. Stop neglecting your blog! I was very excited for your last post.. but that was back in September! Will you ever update again?! Please?
Per your request, working on a new post now ๐
