Indian Food Monday
Hi guys! Happy Tuesday! I’m so happy ya’ll liked the perfect protein pancake recipe 🙂 Please let me know what you think if you try it!
I just had some
Banana Split Perfect Protein Pancakes 😀
While the first side was cooking, I added vegan chocolate chips and sliced strawberries
and served them with sliced banana, more strawberries and a tablespoon of maple syrup. Pancake perfection 🙂
Last night, after teaching 3 classes (spin off the bike, Zumba and a 15-minute abs class), Jeni, Megan (not the Megan ya’ll used to know, a different Megan) and I went to Indian for dinner. Usually we do Indian Food Wednesday (wahoo!) but since Cinco de Mayo is Wednesday, I figured I’d be eating some kind of Mexican food…and some kind of margarita 😉
Last time the pilot and I had Indian, we vowed to never go back. Jeni had it last weekend and said it was much better, so I decided to give it another chance 🙂
It. was. glorious.
Pappadum + Dippers
Buffet!
I didn’t want to risk ordering something and not liking it –the baigan bhartha was GREASY goo last time- and the buffet looked awesome, so I rolled with it. A lovely cabbage dish, dal bukara (lurve) and a chickpea dish + 4 pieces of roti.
I was a happy kid 😀
This morning, Ashley and I did our Insanity workout (amazing) and I’m off to get started on the day’s to-do’s.
A WEEK FROM NOW, I’LL BE IN THE BAHAMAS!!! 😀 I’ve never been anywhere tropical- have you?? Any tips?
xoxo,
Gina
Spin playlist: Here’s the playlist I used for spin last night 🙂 A lot of old favorites on here, but a great mix of climbs, jumps, tempo and sprints.
I’ve been to the Bahamas a couple of times…the water is crystal clear and most places look like they are right out of a magazine!!
One not so good thing: My fiance and I both found that the locals are not very nice…so just keep that in mind. We’ve been on many vacations and it just seems like the Bahamian people weren’t as nice as other locations we’ve been.
Enjoy your trip!!
So jealous your going to the bahamas
PS YOU LOVE IS MY DRUG- is without a doubt one of my new favorite workout sounds 🙂 LOVE IT!
Can’t wait to try these perfect protein pancakes. My boyfriend will thank you! 😉 I keep making him eat “whole grain/wheat” pancakes and he’s not the biggest fan..haha!
The sun is stronger in the Bahamas than in the States, so I suggest stronger/more sunscreen!
i’m kind of crazy Indian now, might have to go sometime in the nearer future, theres a couple places here that we want to try out.
The Bahamas! NICE. We’re going to Cancun in January, in the dead of a Canadian winter, I am PUMPED. Never been anywhere, so dont have tips. But share tips after your experience so i know what to do or not to do haha
I had Indian food Monday as well, so delish!! For the Bahamas, bring tons of sunscreen, swimsuits and coverups…I love just light sundresses as they pack well and are nice and cool in the heat!
Mmmmm mexican food tomorrow…yummy!
Thanks for the play list! I always battle over what to put in new compilations to keep me motivated. I’ve copied this one down 🙂
Enjoy your holidays!
I was in the Bahama’s in December and the “straw market” area of Nassau I totally was trying to haggel (sp?) with the ladies and even would walk away thinking they would change their minds like they do in Nogales – nope… they would come down a little but nothing close to what I was willing to pay on most items. In Freeport we did a kayak and cave tour – it was awesome. I ended up w/ sand flea bites from one of the beaches – you might want to take some skin so soft or another type of bug repellent. I’m not a big drinker but my friends were amazed at the deals on top shelf booze. One thing I did not like was all the restaurants and bars automatically added gratuity to the bills (even when only party of 2) and for the most part the servers didn’t earn half the tip – even at chain places – Hard Rock, Senior Frogs – the service wasn’t good at all – everyone was really nice but no one was working for their tips. I hope you have a great time! They drive on the left side too.
