Along with the fun adventures of this past weekend, I also had the chance to do some cooking. I made some lactation oaties for a friend who just had twins:
(I told the Pilot he would lactate if he ate any)
sautรฉed BBQ zucchini to go with lunch one afternoon
and some Paleo breadย for us to enjoy this week.
The bread is an almost-weekly staple; I especially love it with a smear of sunflower seed butter and drizzle of honey.
In addition to the cooking, I had a few minutes to make a sell/donate stash from our closet.
I took some clothes to Buffalo Exchange to sell and I have to say, it’s a special kind of judgment when the sales associate digs through your clothing, deciding what they’ll keep. It’s an extra special type of judgment when said clothing buyer hardly takes anything from your pile, but has a heyday with the neon Forever 21 garb from the pile next to yours. I felt very old.
Usually when I go through my closet to donate and sell items, I have a pretty good idea of what I need to take to Goodwill, and what Buffalo might take. This time I was totally off!
It’s pretty easy for me to take clothes I’ll never wear again to make room in the closet, but the tried, true (and grungy) items tend to have a longer shelf life.
I have a few t-shirts that I love to lounge around in:
my Tiger Sharks shirt, any of the Pilot’s graphic tees (I especially love sleeping in them when he’s deployed), a few race/gym shirts
(still have that shirt, 3 years later)
and anything with soft Pima cotton.
Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when Reebok sent two super comfy tees this month as part of our partnership.
They fit well, have a nice stretch to them, and the luxurious fabric made me want to cry tears of joy. I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot!
I loved the shirts so much that I asked Reebok if they’d like to do a giveaway and was so excited when they said yes.
One lucky winner will receive one of each of these shirts:
(the short sleeve V neckย and love fit tee)
All you have to do is leave a comment with your favorite T-shirt, or something in your closet you’ll always keep.
I’ll pick a random winner tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/29) at midnight EST.
Enjoy your night!
xoxo

I have a tshirt from my 1996 cheerleading squad. Our football team was the Catholic league champs and I still don’t have the heart to give it away. I also don’t have the heart to wear it outside of the house. In addition to dating myself, it makes me look homeless.
my favorite t-shirt is a vintage looking yellow chicago cubs shirt, it’s the softest fabric ever and I found it on clearance at a tj-maxx of all places, haha I love it!
please sign me up for the summer shape up. thank you
I live in T-shirts since I work from home, but I have my select few that I wear over and over again…some are so grungy they need to be thrown away but I just can’t stand to part with them!
My first 5k…The Color Run t-shirt! ๐
I love my warrior dash t-shirt its huge, comfy and makes me remember how I worked my butt of on that run last year!
I love these shirts. They look great and the length of the tank top is perfect for my long torso! A great birthday present for me ๐
I have a worn in t-shirt from a sorority dance at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle that is my favorite lounge shirt. The theme was “Where the Wild Things Are” and it’s bright green with the character from the book on the cover. I could never let it go. That and a wool sweater that was my grandpa’s; he passed away when I was 12 and it’s my little piece of him.
I will never throw away my Mud Run shirt! Sure it’s torn and dingy looking and tattered, but it reminds me that I can do anything I put my mind to. ๐
Definitely my wedding dress. I am never getting rid of that baby ๐
Tshirts that I can never seem to part with are the cheesey ones you buy when you are on a trip or vacation that state where you actually were. It is always nice to have something to remember the trip by, even if it is corny!
My favorite t-shirt is an old tie-dye t-shirt from my summer camp counselor days. Love those memories ๐
I have an Illini dri fit tee, from my alma matter, University of Illinois. Being in Nashville, I enjoy wearing it every so often as it is a rarity amongst all the UT shirts.
I can’t bring myself to get rid of my first pair of yoga pants … They’re about 8 years old and totally pilled/misshapen/destroyed, but their sentimental value is too high!
An old gym t-shirt. So comfy!
I love any t-shirt from my husband… Big and cozy!!!!
A sweatshirt from high school that only the football players had and I stole from my then boyfriend. It’s super comfy and no matter how many washes it’s still the perfect size
any of my college soccer t-shirts – they make me feel young again!
I love the Love Fitness t-shirt. Bright colors are my favorite this time of year. I have a pair of running pants that i’ve had for 10+ years.
When my older brother, Buddy, returned from his 4th tour of duty we celebrated with a bar crawl. He wore a shirt that said, “I’m Buddy”. The rest of us wore shirts that said, “I’m with Buddy”. I frequently lounge around the house in my I’m with Buddy shirt, and occassionally wear it for a quick trip to the grocery store. I get some awkward glances…I guess it is kind of odd to be all by myself wearing a shirt that says that I’m with somebody…but I don’t care it’s sooooo soft and comfy.
Old sorority T-shirts are the best, just can’t get rid of them!
Love my Crossfit Midland Tee’s that were a gift from my inlaws. They are the softest shirts … ever.
I love this neon orange t-shirt I just bought this Spring! Super comfy for lounging or wearing to the gym!
Something in my closet that I will always keep will be my senior t shirt from high school. I love it. It is one of my favorite shirts and I will always keep it.
My favorite shirt is probably a handmade shirt that my cousins and I made when we were younger. My grandma thought it would be a good idea to paint each of our faces on a bunch of shirts for us to wear. And even though it’s not something I wear out of the house often, I’ve had it for over 15 years and it just shows how close my family is (and how much we love to do DIY projects :])!
I love my comfy lounge t-shirts!!
Any soft, gray, ovsized t- shirt; perfect for any occasion.
an old pair of target sweat pants. Light and comfy….
My favorite T-shirt is one I borrowed from a friend and forgot to return – it was washed so many times before I got it that it was perfectly soft and comfy.
My favorite tee is an oversized one-size-fits-all that I got at a Dallas Mavs playoff game the year we won the championship. Go Dirk! ๐
Oy. I am wearing shirts from HIGH SCHOOL! ….from double digit years ago! There are only a few I can’t part with.
My favorite tee is an oversized shirt I got in Key West on vacation. It is super soft and oh-so comfy!
A hoodie I stole from my husband a looong time ago. It’s huge and so comfy!!
My favourite tee is a super soft grey oversized men’s tee I got from american apparel in high school. I still wear it at least once a week!
When I entered college last year I decided it was time to get a t-shirt to show some school spirit. Now I wear it all the time when lounging around, and likely will never get rid of it!
I have an old worn out tee of my hubbies that I keep stashed for when he is out of town. It’s so comforting!
I’ll never get rid of my college sweatshirts. Lots of memories.
A shirt I will never get rid of is the very first shirt my boyfriend (now hubby) bought me over 15 years ago it was a plain dark blue ralph lauren tshirt.. At age 15 when you weren’t used to having anything name brand that shirt was like gold!
Any old race t’s are particularly near and dear to my heart. My favorite has to be a horribly designed one from an 8 mile up hill trail run, complete with comic sans font. It’s ugly, but having it as my souvenir of completion of the race makes it a trophy in my eyes.
My sister always find the best tshirts so ny favorites are any shirt she has given me! Great fabric and nice girl fit instead of the boxy normal tshirt shape.
My favorite is super soft and get fitting tee with a Smurf in outer space and it says “Spaced Out”.
I cannot get rid of any of my Boston Marathon t-shirts. Especially the ’06 and ’07 shirts that were long sleeved cotton. I miss the days of soft, cotton shirts being given out at races. It’s all dryfit-like shirts these days. Just not the same ๐
My fiance’s tennis shirt from college. Reminds me when we first met.
I love the red t-shirt & something I will never ever get rid of is my favorite pink polo shirt. I’ve had it forever but it fits like a glove and is just so cheery!
I love t-shirts. My favorite item in my closet that I’ll never part with is an old raggedy jacket that belonged to my Dad!
My current favorite tshirt is a Mizzou shirt my hubby and I picked up on our drive across the country to visit in laws. It’s soft, big, and oh-so comfy. I want to live in it!
I will never get rid of my first ever cycling rally tee. First race that my Mom saw me ride and crash in! So soft and good memories associated with it! ๐
I have a navy blue tshirt with a yellow whale on it. It was my mom’s when she was in grad school and is the softest shirt ever, I love it!
I love love LOVE my new Dogfish Head tshirt I got from the brewery in Delaware. I can’t believe how soft it is. I also love our Philly Kickball shirts for lounging around the house.
I have a super old sweatshirt from the Outer Banks that was a hand-me-down from a cousin. It’s white with a multi-colored fish – the height of 90s sweatshirt style. It’s sort of become a joke in my family; no matter how dressed up I am, within five minutes of returning home I will be in that sweatshirt (usually with an old pair of saggy sweatpants). I don’t think I’ll ever be able to part with it, which the cousin who gave it to me finds hilarious.
