{Giveaway} Dehydration Station

Hiiiiii 😀 Happy Indian Food Wednesday! How’s your day going?

I’m so glad you guys liked the video I posted last night– pretty amazeballz, huh? I also LOVED reading about your pets’ nicknames. Glad we’re not the only weirdos out there 😉

(check out that LEG sticking out! She’s so funny)

We just got back from this morning’s 30 minute walk, and also went to the dog park (DP) so Bella could chase her friends around and collapse in the dirt.

B-fast for the Pilot:

pilot

(Sourdough English muffin with sundried tomato goat cheese, organic turkey, an over easy egg on each side, and 1/2 avocado with berries)

Perfect protein pancakes for me:

pancakes

BANANA SPLIT protein pancakes with a square of dark chocolate, 1/2 banana, organic strawberries and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Yes, yes, yesssssssssssssss <—-foodgasm

So I wanted to say a little “thank you” for being so lovely and supportive since the Pilot has been home, with house hunting and life in general, so I asked my friends at OpenSky if we could do a lil giveaway.

When I picked the item, I wanted it to be something I use all the time and LOVE, so it was really an easy choice.

excalibur

Want a dehydrator??

I use mine almost every day to make my all-time favorite snacks and treats.

From kale chips:

I would make dried fruit or some kind of tart…something fun and sweet and yummy, a treat just for myself 🙂 If I had a dehydrator, I’d have to christen it with only the most fun, cutest, girliest treat! Just like an easy bake oven for girls only for a healthy lady lol 🙂

I don’t see anything about “outside USA” but I’ve signed up to follow you anyway. I don’t expect to win this (being non-US and stuff – appliance compatibility comes into it too) but I have been trying to work out how to justify an Excalibur for a couple of years now (I would actually prioritise it over replacing our dead oven!) At the moment, the first thing I would make is activated nuts, both for snacks and for using as “raw” nuts in raw recipes. After that, well, there is so much I want to try! I have been trying to get myself back on track after having a baby, physically and mentally, and raw foods are calling to me more than ever. Oh, and the rest of my family will eat kale if it’s in the form of chips, so there’s that too 😉

  17. christina on April 6, 2011 at 10:41 pm

I would make raw pizza base – I love pizza and recently had a raw pizza from the Raw Food Kitchen at the Fremantle Markets in Western Australia (Any perthites around – GO CHECK IT OUT – they do the most amazing food, including the best raw chocolate cheese cake *drool*)

    then your macaroons!

  18. Erica on April 6, 2011 at 10:44 pm

    Roons, fo’sho would be FIRST!!

  27. Sara on April 6, 2011 at 11:01 pm

Of course, raw macaroons! And I think some veggie chips may have to be in order as well!

  28. Jill on April 6, 2011 at 11:03 pm

I would probably make dried EVERYTHING. Literally everything. When I worked in a concession, I deep-fried everything (from gum to paper) for experiments, so I think I would go the same route. And I would also make kale chips and macaroons. But honestly, I think there would be little shrivelled up versions of everything in my apartment (like the Friends episode where Chandler’s crazy roommate dehydrates the cantaloupes and stuff).

  29. Alicia on April 6, 2011 at 11:06 pm

    ROONS 😀 & granola for sure! 🙂

  30. Manda on April 6, 2011 at 11:10 pm

I would definitely make kale chippies first! Next, I would make macaroons, because I’ve never made the lovelies before. I have seriously, seriously been wanting a dehydrator for over two years now. Thanks for thinking of us Gina!!

I would definitely make fruit leather first for my kids.

  32. Lisa on April 6, 2011 at 11:12 pm

being vegan and raw this baby would come as the biggest blessing!

  33. Jessica on April 6, 2011 at 11:14 pm

You are way too kind!!! I would first and foremost make some veggie chips! Followed by dried fruit and then some raw desserts I’ve been dying for 🙂

  34. Teresa on April 6, 2011 at 11:15 pm

I would make some dried fruit snacks and some roons!

  35. Stephanie on April 6, 2011 at 11:17 pm

  36. Jasmine on April 6, 2011 at 11:18 pm

I would love to make fruit leather!

  38. Rachel on April 6, 2011 at 11:19 pm

Ahh I’ve been wanting one of these for so long! I would first use it to make fruit leathers and veggie chips! YUM! And then maybe try my hand at macaroons since I’ve been dying to taste a little bit of heaven for quite some time now!

  39. Anna on April 6, 2011 at 11:22 pm

I’d like to start making kale chips so I can keep away from potato chips!

  49. Margaret on April 6, 2011 at 11:39 pm

I also wanted to add that, as a sporadic follower of your blog for a while now, I haven’t been a commenter before, so technically I’m not due for any thanks 😉
But I’m really glad you have your Pilot home again safely, and I hope you get that dream home 🙂
