His and Her Toast
Hi guys! Howโs your morning going??? <3
Since I woke up before the Pilot (a rarity, haha), I made us both some bfast.
His toast was covered in Earth Balance and apricot preserves
(with an organic ham nโ cheese omelet.. that I overcooked a little, oops)
Her toast was French ๐
For my French toast, I used *this recipe*. A few days ago, someone was tweeting about French toast made with banana instead of eggs (Iโm sorry I canโt remember who it was!) and wanted to give it a whirl.
Banana, almond milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla in the Vitamixalicious:
Brown rice bread went for a lil swim in the banana pool:
Cooked it up:
and topped with milled flax and maple syrup.
LOVED this- sweet and light. Sometimes regular French toast is a little too heavy for me in the morning โIโd prefer it for dinner- but this version is perfectly satisfying without being too much.
Iโm off to make some tea and get crackalackin on my To Do list:
-Finish the scrapbook pages (blahhhhhh)
-Hit up the juice place
-Work
-Work on the Solo Spin sesh Iโll post this afternoon (with a playlist)
-Some of thisโฆ
(My friend Elizabeth sent me this โTurbo Blingโ shirt! So cuteโฆ thanks again, friend)
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
xoxo,
Gina

I can’t wait for pumpkin everything! Squash everything! ๐ I need some new boots… but not sure that will be happening any time soon!
I almost got that Turbo Fire shirt last weekend… but ended up with the Chalean Extreme one instead! We are actually trying to do a Turbo Challenge right now… hoping it takes off!
Have a great day!
can’t wait for the solo spin sesh! Thanks =)
There’s so many things I love about fal,l leaves changing, apple picking, and halloween to name a few. That french toast looks divine I’m a breakfast for dinner kinda girl myself ๐
Lookiing forward to the spin post!
LOVE hallowee, too!!!
yes!! I have some great boots I cannot wait to wear (I pulled them out of the closet the other day – they’re now sitting waiting for me!) I love scarves and hats too.
I like what October smells like.
I’m most excited for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies I save to make in the fall. and I’ll also agree with boots and blazers too!
Everything pumpkin!! Oh, and Fall scented candles. They are my fave. ๐
I can’t wait for being able to just throw on a hoodie and jeans and walk out the door ๐ Fall is my absolute favorite season. From the beautiful changes in leaves (I live in Upstate/Western NY) to the perfect temperature and most importantly, pumpkin pie!! And I totally agree with Kristina that fall smells amazing ๐
Fall means all things pumpkin, more baking, skinny jeans tucked into boots, crisp air, pretty fall colors, and start of holiday season!
mmm that french toast sounds awesome!
Real apples! I’m so sick of the galas that are in the grocery store. I can’t wait to head to a pick-your-own farm and get my favorite tart ones: macouns and staymans.
Definitely bought my fall boots this morning! It’s kind of chilly in Philly today, which makes me even more excited!
I am totally making that french toast tomorrow – I think the kids will <3 it!
Fall – pumpkin spice lattes: YESSSSS!!!, moving to Oklahoma aka civilization and shopping, sweaters, colored tights, leggings, Uggs, chilly nights and the fireplace, bombfires and smores, *swoon* I love fall.
promise me you will go eat at 105degrees in okc when you get there!!!
I am going there this weekend to go house shopping – my friend Brooke and I are going to 105* FRIDAY!! I am dying of excitement *insert huge grin* I bought some gorgeous shoes for our 105* dinner date.

Fa’sho, lots’o’pics ๐ You could always just meet us in OK for girls trip/house hunting shennanigans ๐
girl, i WISH. don’t be surprised if i show up, haha
I love apricot preserves on toast so much! Your french toast looks pretty fab also.
Ahhh, I’m SO excited for pumpkin spiced lattes! I wonder if you can buy the sugar free syrup and make them at home – Have you ever tried? I loove them, but my wallet does not love the frequent Starby trips in the fall (I make my own coffee most mornings). I’m also SO excited for the humidity to die down so that my runs will be even more enjoyable. And lastly: fall foods! I have some great autumn recipes I’m excited to try.
i’ve tried to make starbucks drinks at home but it’s not the same… let me know if you have success with it though!
i’m most excited for making apple crisp with apples picked right off the tree!
Yum! I’m all about the “hers” toast in this post…although both look tasty!
I LOVE that turbofire tank – so jealous!!! I have been wondering if any of the turbo swag was available for purchase, can you ask your friend? I haven’t seen it online anywhere.
I want that TurboFire tank!!!
I like french toast for dinner too — but it is delicious at any time of day ๐
I LOVE FALL — Halloween, Thanksgiving, sweaters, jeans, hats, scarves, trees changing colors, raking leaves, cool crisp air, everything!
Ahhh Fall…I can’t for Halloween, Uggs, being cold, knee high boots + dresses.
I’m so excited that your vegan French toast was good!! I’ve been looking everywhere for a recipe that doesn’t use bizarre ingredients, so I just bookmarked the one you used. I have so many Fitnessista recipes in my bookmarked folder right now- need to get cracking!!
I love fall. I look forward to pumpkin and apple picking with my honey, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin flavored anything really, being able to drag out all my Halloween and Nightmare Before Christmas stuff and just the generally cooler weather. Oh and lady bugs. For some reason we get swarms and swarms of lady bugs (and man bugs too!) that seem to come out in droves around the fall time.
Pumpkin Spice Lattes are THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im so excited for everything pumpkin!
I must say too, Coldstone has a pumpkin pie in the sky icecream every fall and it is AMAZING! I always treat myself to it every fall!
I’m excited for school, sorority recruitment and football games. I’m such a college girl ๐
If you are providing a spin sesh later could you please possibly show how much to move the gear to increase it by one gear? I took my first spin class recently because I had no idea how much exactly increases are suppose to be, thanks!
awesome recipe! really looking forward to the solo spin plan, I’ve been wanting one for awhile! thanks ๐
Yummy…I woukd never have thought to use banana instead of egg…genius!
I’m looking forward to the weather cooling down a bit. Fall also means the best holidays are coming…Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!!
i’m so excited for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and wearing jackets at night. wheeeeee!
I’m excited for all those things as well ๐ I LOVE fall! Every year in September, there’s a wine and harvest festival near my hometown. I leave the hustle and bustle of Chicago for the weekend, spend some time with mom (step-dad dear hunts every weekend in the fall) and we enjoy some wine and walk around and look at all the handmade goodies. I love every minute of it.
Baaa I am never excited about the colder seasons I am a summer gal! But I am looking forward to skinny jeans and boots!
love the no-egg french toast idea…can’t wait to try that!!
my favorite fall treat is pumpkin pie. last fall i wanted to cut down on how much of the crust i was eating and i found a pumpkin pie custard recipe..its soooo good. this season i want to make it vegan ๐ when i succeed i will let you know.
yes, let me know! i made a vegan one for thanksgiving and it turned out horribly haha
I am most excited for pumpkins, fall evening runs, colorful leaves, crisp air, and the smell of burning leaves. Mmmmmm!
I can’t wait for chicken chili, chocolate chip pumpkin muffins, fires, boots and cool weather!
So here’s something- I’ve never had French Toast…I think part of me just doesn’t like the idea of dipping toast in egg batter- but this recipe sounds delish ๐
That French toast looks delish. But so does the Pilots. Love apricots. Fall is my favorite season. I’m looking forward to my birthday (woohoo!), Thanksgiving, Football and the crisp weather. In terms of food I can’t wait for pumpkin and apples. I used to love going to farms in the fall when I was a kid. Might need to make this a new favorite past-time.
Scarves are definitely my favorite part of fall. I also just adore walking in parks and admiring the leaves changing color – it’s beautiful.
This fall, I’m also excited for my first year of not going back to school as a full-time student ๐
I can’t wait for BOOTS too…and cardigan sweaters!!
I think I’m going to try that recipe for french toast soon, it sounds awesome!
Samantha
Im excited for sweaters, boots, apple picking, apple sauce, fall festivals, handing out halloween candy, slippers, and candles.
Anything and everything pumpkin! The beautiful colors of the leaves, sweaters and cuddles by the fireplace w/a pumpkin spiced latte and a slice of pumpkin pie.
I can’t WAIT for boots, pumpkin EVERYTHING!!! Triple winter squash soup…and the smell…I just love the smell and feel of fall…oh, and sweaters, but when it’s cool enough to wear jeans, boots and a light sweater, but not too cold you need a jacket. LOVE fall ๐
Today was National Waffle Day…you shoulda made his n’ hers waffles–toast looks yumm though ๐
I’m excited about cooler weather, sweaters, pumpkins, pomegranates, boots, leaves coming off the trees, not sweating when I go to check the mail, not branding myself with my seat belt, pumpkin patches, Halloween…
pumpkins, sweaters, boots, squashes, leaves changing colors, FOOTBALL. can not wait!!
although i’m trying not to rush it… summer is still here!
I can’t wait for cozy sweaters, hot chocolate, SOUP, and apple picking.
mmm pumpkin spice lattes! My fav! we have lots of fall festivals in Florida that I’m excited for! and this fall I’m excited for getting married!! eeeeee!! ๐
I love the idea of using banana instead of eggs! I definitely have to give that a try considering I adore french toast. I am really looking forward to anything pumpkin! I absolutley love fall, especially all of the gorgeous warm colors and getting to wear my big, comfy sweaters ๐
Oh my, how I’ve almost forgot about Pumpkin Spice Lattes! Can’t wait!!
A definito to the pumpkin spide lattes – and pumpkin pie, and butternut squash, and my mom’s Thanksgiving stuffing. I also love the change in the air we get here in the midwest – the crispness of it is invigorating to me. And my birthday and my little girl’s birthday.
And that french toast recipe looks delish – eggs are always too rich and heavy for me. I’ll have to give this one a try. Thanks for sharing!
that totally inspired me to make some french toast for brunch!! yum!
i am most excited for apple cider, changing leaves, and the smell of campfire smoke- and THIS year, starting college! can’t wait!!
The french toast looks awesome! All this fall talk has got me thinking about how much I want some cozy Ugg boots and a big sweater! : D
I can’t wait for cooler temps so its easier to get outside with my daughter. And candy corn. It’s my favorite candy and I only get to enjoy it once a year.
The banana instead of egg french toast sounds really good!
omg, i live for candy corn too ๐
