Reebok Skyscape Launch Party + a giveaway- ENDED
Hi guys! This post is sponsored by Fitfluential LLC on behalf of Reebok. Of course, all opinions are my own. I’m thankful for this wonderful opportunity to travel to NYC and enjoy the launch party with blog friends <3
The main reason of our trip to NYC was to represent Fitfluential at the launch of Reebok‘s new casual everyday shoe: Skyscapes. I’ve been super stoked about the release of these sneakers. Remember when I went to Boston with Reebok? We were asked to pick our favorite shoe on an entire wall of up-and-coming styles. My easy choice: Skyscapes! I held the shoe up and told everyone that they were my favorites because they were super light, available in fun colors and prints, and could easily translate from the gym to errands with a pair of jeans or cotton casual dress.
This week, the Skyscapes are officially available; Reebok celebrated the launch with a party at their Fit Hub. When we walked into the Hub, we were surprised that it was hot and steamy inside. Apparently a hot yoga class had just finished up (<– they use their hubs as retail stores and the opportunity to provide community fitness classes). The room was adorned with fresh flowers, yoga mats were in the center ready to go, beverages and breakfast appetizers were available. It was a beautiful setup and perfectly embodied the spirit of the shoe: light and airy, like walking on a cloud.
Since she’s the official spokesmodel for Skyscape, MIRANDA KERR WAS THERE. She was absolutely gorgeous (of course) and totally down-to-earth.
We were also treated to a Ballet Beautiful class, taught by Mary Helen Bowers, who created the workout format. Mary Helen danced with the New York City Ballet Company for 10 years and is also credited with training Natalie Portman for her role in Black Swan. I absolutely loved experiencing the Ballet Beautiful. The shortened class was about 20 minutes, split between floor work (core, obliques, glutes, inner and outer thighs) and standing work (more glutes, quads and calves). It was similar to a barre workout, sans the barre, with fluid movements. They offer online classes, which I can’t wait to check out.
(with Roo!)
We were able to chat with Mary Helen Bowers, who was extremely knowledgable and fun. I asked her for her top three fitness/healthy living tips to share with you all, and here’s what she had to say:
1) Make time for yourself, even if it’s just a little, every day. Every little bit truly adds up, so even if it’s just 10 or 15 minutes, it still counts towards achieving your goals.
2) Don’t view your workouts as a punishment. They should be something that you enjoy and that you look forward to! She said that it’s a little bit of luxury to take care of yourself every day.
3) Focus on rest, water and eating well. Your workout should be a part of that. When you take care of yourself, you look better, feel better and are happier.
I like the fact that she emphasized the importance of balance in a fitness routine. She doesn’t believe in doing a ton of cardio, but creating a mix of strength, moderate cardio and flexibility.
(with Roo, Julie, MHB and Heather)
We also got the chance to talk to Miranda Kerr. She was a blast to talk to -we actually ended up talking about babies and labor for quite a while before we went into fitness stuff- and we all noticed that she was especially engaging during the fitness class portion. She would interject with tips on how she uses the exercises in her own routine and how she fits fitness into her busy schedule. She’s a big fan of dancing around with her three-year-old little guy, rebounding, yoga and Pilates. She had a great tip about using planks for a 10-minute total body workout: turn on some great music and plank (with variations) for 10 minutes. Rest as you need to. I’ll definitely give it a try!
Whenever I passed this wall, the lower half of my body disappeared.

Needless to say, it was an amazing event <3
The Skyscapes in action with some style variations:
A little bit of info about the new sneaks:
-They were designed with the 23 hours hours in mind that you don’t spend working out: to and from the gym, running errands, hanging out, etc.
-They were designed to feel “so comfortable you forget you have them on,” which is easy to do since they’re so lightweight. Skyscapes are an awesome traveling shoe because they’re so light. At only five ounces, you can toss them in your suitcase without having to worry about extra weight or bulk.
-The upper portion is made out of a soft two-way stretch material (similar to bra material) with cloud-like pillows on the sole. They machine wash beautifully, and the seamless style keeps them from irritating or digging into your foot. (Tip: if you’re going to wash these in the machine, make sure to take the insole and laces out before hand. You can wash the insole separately, and then let the parts air dry before reassembling them.) I’ve washed mine twice already
-The Skyspring technology helps to support the foot and provide all-day comfort. We walked around NYC for a few hours after the event, and I was so glad I was wearing these shoes. Very comfortable the entire time.
To celebrate the launch of the Skyscape, how ’bout a little giveaway? This portion of the post is sponsored by Caroline, as she wanted to share the Skyscape love with a lucky reader.
Leave a comment with the color Skyscapes you would like, or how you’d wear them! I’ll pick a winner TONIGHT (3/13) at midnight and announce in tomorrow’s Friday Faves post.

OOOH! I love these! I think I would choose the pink!
I’m usually not very fun but I’m feeling the pink or purple for some reason
I love the pink. I like the look of pairing with a summer dress.
Do I have to pick one ? I love the pink ones but gray goes with so much. ;). These look so comfy.
I would absolutely wear them in NYC, too! My husband and I are going for our 10 year anniversary in May and I have been debating about what shoes to buy for the trip that are CUTE and comfortable! These sound like the clear winner!
These are so cute! I’d love a gray pair.
I’d definitely pick gray. I need some casual comfy shoes for walking with a toddler on our family vacations this summer!
I would pick the grey ones!
Pink please!
I’ve been searching for a new casual, comfy sneaker — love the pink!
I love the black with pink soles!
I love the pink color! So bright and cheery. Looks like an awesome trip ๐
I’d have to go with the pink. Such a fun looking shoe.
I think the black+victory pink would go with just about anything! Thanks for the giveaway… sounds like you had an awesome trip!
I would love the grey! I would wear these to boot camp class, and to brunch after!
I would love the black with pink bottoms to wear to work. I walk a lot and run after my special needs students!
I would love the grey ones as they literally would go with everything in my wardrobe – I walk a lot and am always on the lookout for new comfortable shoes that don’t rub or give me pain at the end of the day. They also would be perfect for work (I work in a sports retail store), as I’m on my feet all day long!
I love the gray! They’d go with everything!
hot pink for sure!! I have been looking for a new light shoe to wear when I’m not wearing my vibrams:)
I would love the pink!
I think I’d choose the black w/ pink trim or the purple ones. I’d wear them to Body Pump.
I would love these for my commute to school very day! Probably black for versatility, although they are all really cute.
I would love the pink ones and I’d wear them while running errands all weekend.
Grey! Though all of the colors are super cute!
I would totally rock the pair that is white with grey stripes! I hate wearing my gym shoes (even trainers) while running errands, so I would take advantage of the fact they were designed for such purposes.
I love the gray color! Usually I like bright shoes since I always wear dark workout clothes, but these would be so versatile! Love what Reebok is doing with this!
Love the pink and black for everyday wear!
I love the dark pink and the dark purple!
im a fan of the grey ones!
I love the grey ones! They would go with a lot of my wardrobe and would be great for chasing after my kids and running errands.
Pink!!! Isn’t it always pink?? ๐
Ooo! Love the bright pink! But I would likely go for the black – I actually really like the black pair! (while usually I stay far from black and head towards neon)
I would use them as to and from work shoes, as I like to walk on lunch break and a sweet pair of shoes would make me cool around the university kids (right? haha). And they would be much better for my feet than ballet flats for walking!
I love the bright pink color! I work at a bakery and am on my feet ALL day, so a comfortable shoe is a must! I feel like these would be perfect!!
I would probably pick gray, because it’s versatile but still cute. They would be great for walking to and from school each day!
Love the pink! I could see myself wearing these to the gym and then the rest of the day to finish some errands.
Ahhh such cute shoes! I’d love the pink fusion ones!
I love the grey or pink ones. Perfect for the spring and summer.
I love the purple color but also really like the pink! I would wear then with leggings and long tees or with jeans and a tank top when it’s a little warner!
The gray ones because they would go more with anything ๐
Gray! I walk to work and these would be way cuter than regular sneaks for the commute!
I’m leaning more towards the grey, but my heart says pink all the way!! What a fun launch party! Love those awesome pants!!!
I’m loving the purple vibe! Since Pantone’s color of the year is Radiant Orchid, I think these are perfect. Just time for spring! I’d wear them on all of my mama errands;
Grocery shopping to stock the house with healthy foods and picking up goodies for our 14 month old’s Easter basket.(: Thanks for the awesome giveaway, fingers crossed I win!(:
ps. I believe in anything Miranda Kerr!(:
I would love the purple for running around after my toddlers!
I would wear them with black leggings and a chambray shirt.
The grey because they would transition so seamlessly to casual wear after the gym. Only having to carry around 1 pair of shoes for the entire day? Win!
I would definitely choose the black shoe. I don’t usually get excited about shoes, but for some reason I looked them up after your recent travel post and got *really* excited about these! I love that they are cute and lightweight and I would love to have a pair! (Also, so happy you got to meet Miranda Kerr–of all supermodels, she’s my favorite because she seems to have such a balanced approach to life and health).
I love the grey ones! They could seriously go with just about everything I own!
I would pick gray, and would run them ragged ๐
Black and pink! Such fun footwear!
I love the purple! I would wear them for my transition from work to school everyday when my feet need some rest.
