Share the love {giveaway}

Don’t you love when something totally unexpected makes your day a little brighter?
(Gorgeous full moon last night! Now if only I knew how to make my camera photograph it like an actual moon instead of a dot, that’d be kinda cool)
Well, that’s what happened yesterday 🙂
First I was excited to see a package that didn’t have the Amazon smiley face on it –those tend to pop up over here pretty frequently- and then I saw “perishable food” and things got even more ridic.
A package of Chicago foodie goodies from our good friends Mara and Adam 🙂
Carol’s cookies, Garrett’s popcorn and a deep dish pizza. No words.
I couldn’t open the popcorn fast enough….
and put the pizza in the oven, just in time for the Pilot to get home from work.
Random acts of kindness are truly amazing, and whenever someone does something nice for me, it makes me want to share the positive energy with someone else… so I thought it would be a great day for a giveaway- it’s been a while since we’ve had one of those over here!
After reading the comments on yesterday’s YouTube fitness post, I remembered that many of you also enjoy working out at home, so I thought I’d share one of my favorite at-home workouts with a blog friend:
Winner’s choice: Insanity or Turbofire
You can read my reviews in the links above and decide whether you would prefer a drill-based high-impact workout, or a dance meets kickbox high-energy workout. It makes it even harder to choose because Shaun T. is fun and verryyyy nice to look at, and Chalene is a firecracker of motivation and energy.
All ya have to do:
-Leave a comment with your favorite at-home workout option
(If it’s your first time commenting, I’ll be approving those throughout the day, so no worries if it doesn’t show up right away)
This giveaway is sponsored by Livi and Bella- the winner will be chosen tonight at midnight EST and announced tomorrow am.
To sweeten the deal:
Hope you have an amazing humpday!
See ya later with a Family post.
xoxo

I haven’t tried either of these DVD’s as my usual workout involves running although I do like the occasional Pilates tape as I can practice in the anonymity of my house without looking like a fool at the gym 🙂
I have tried a number of different at-home workouts. I love mixing it up between DVDs, YouTube videos, blogs, books, making things up on my own, etc. And also between cardio, stretching, yoga, etc. My favorite is definitely yoga. As a teacher and lifelong student of yoga, it is nice to be able to try out different styles and teachers (and also get ideas and inspiration for my own classes) all while never having to leave my home 🙂 I would love love love to try Turbofire. Your review and recomendations have really gotten me excited about it!
Ahh I would love, love, love to give Insanity a try!! I’ve been so unmotivated lately and just started reading your blog a few days ago to try and get back into the game! I have heard such amazing things about Shaun T and Insanity and think it would be the perfect thing to give me some motivation and get back in shape!! By the way, your blog is amazing and so inspirational! Keep it up girl!! You rock!
My favorite practice at home is YOGA! I love to go into my “yoga room” light some candles and zone out! Thank you so much for the offering an amazing giveaway!!!
My fav at home DVD workout would have to be P90X. Although I have soooooo many that I just love. The two that I don’t have are the one’s you are giving away. I would have to choose Insanity though – even though I would love to try Turbo Fire someday.
When the class times for Barry’s Bootcamp or Pop Physique don’t work out I do the Physique 57 DVDs at home. I’m trying to focus more on cardio (but not lose muscles) to train for a triathlon so I’d love to try TurboFire!
I would love to have the Turbo Fire DVDs. I had my baby boy about a week after you had Livi, I am just starting to feel ready to work out and I can’t wait to feel strong again. At home I use an elliptical and a combination of videos like the 30 day shred, yoga and some Turbo Jam. Crossing my fingers!
I’ve been getting into bodypump lately, but my first true at-home-workout-video love was anything and everything Jillian Michaels! I really want to try Turbofire 🙂
My favorite workout at home are the Jilian Michaels dvd’s and Physique 57!!
I’ve been wanting to try Turbofire FOR-EV-ER!
My fave at home workout solution is def videos by the Tone It Up girls! 🙂
My favorite form of tortue … aka exercise … is Jillian. I have all her DVDs and use them regularly. I have Chalene’s ChaExtreme and tons of her Turbo Jam DVDs. I have been dying to try Turbo Fire. I have heard amazing things about it!!!
I have a 4 week old and would love to start insanity once I am cleared for exercise. Before I had our daughter I liked to run and lift and would do the videos OnDemand.
I’d love to try the Insanity! I use P90x for at home workouts. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love the Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred. I love that it can be done in so short of a time, but still feels like an intense workout!
The only at home workout I’ve tried is Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred, but I’d love to do Insanity!
oh INSANITY! my hubby and I have already completed P90x and we were just watching the infomercial for Insanity the other day. Looks like a butt-kicker!!
Hi Gina!! I love your blog! Even though I’m nowhere near becoming a mom, I love reading all your posts about little Livi and seeing her adorable face! Over the past few months, I’ve been trying to really take care of myself with the right nutrition and exercise and you’ve really opened my eyes to all different types of food and fun, workouts. Currently, my favorite at home workouts are yoga videos since they help me stretch out and unwind from the day, but I’d love to try TurboFire or Insanity to get some cardio on the days I can’t drag myself to the gym.
Thanks for always being so motivating and encouraging! Best wishes to you, Tom, Bella and the lucky little lady!
My home workouts are generally running outside with stops along the way to do exercises at benches/playgrounds etc. I’ll do pull ups on monkey bars, incline pushups and dips on benches, use the swing for knee-to-chest ab exercises…. Lots of options! I will admit tho, I’m excited to have just moved into a condo building with a gym! I think TurboFire would be an awesome addition to my workout rotation!
PS. That popcorn looks like crack in a can. No way that lasted more than 10 minutes 😉
pilates videos
My favorite home workout is running on my treadmill. With two little ones under the age of 4, I can rarely escape to the gym. I’m a newbie when it comes to DVD workouts and would love to try either of these in my home after the kids have gone down for the night! Great giveaway – thanks!
Usually when I work out at home it’s a Jillian Michaels DVD… but I would love to try something new! Turbo fire looks really awesome!
I would love to try Turbofire! I’ve done a few videos from Insanity with friends and it is definitely crazy effective. I love dance and kickboxing videos for at-home workouts, so I’ve been dying to try Turbofire!
Very sweet of you to pay-it-forward. 🙂
I like to do @ home BW circuits because I do not have weights at home. Or pilates DVD/ Yoga meltdown.
My favorite at home workouts are plyometric circuits from pinterest and jump roping-such a great workout
I like the Jillian Michaels’ DVDs – they give me a really great workout in the comfort of my own living room!
Aw thanks for doing this! I love 30 Day Shred… I keep coming back to it every so often and still lovin’ it!
what a sweet thing for your friends to do!! my fave at home workout is a circuit workout. I line up about ten stations and assign a certain move for each one, then power thru them as fast as I can, rest a minute and repeat (2 or 3 times total).
Insanity. Shaun T is great! At home it’s Comcast
On demand – new workouts all the time, tons of choices and some
Tough instructors!
I would love to try the TurboFire workout!!!! I’m 16 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and I’m already looking into workout ideas when juggling to little ones!! TurboFire would be great to do while they are both napping!
Currently, I use the treamill or elliptical once my 3 year goes down for the night!!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I’ve never really done much at home working out. I usually go to the gym. But now that I have a 7 month old I would love to be able to pop in a DVD and not have to leave her. I have been wanting to try Insanity for awhile now so this giveaway would be AMAZING! Love your blog Gina. Long time reader, first time commentor. Nothing like a giveway to bring people out of the woodwork 🙂
BodyRock TV or Zuzana’s new YouTube channel. Or I do a CrossFit workout that uses minimal equipment. I think I’d like to try TurboFire.
Jillian Michaels for sure! Running on the treadmill is great for rainy days, but I love the motivation of hearing Jillian push you harder.
All of my mom’s fitness video cassette tapes from the 80’s! I use to try and do them with her when I was a tot. Now, I actually do them on rainy days! Such good work outs even though they are dated. Plus it is kinda entertaining to see the outfits everyone wore.
I am dying to try turbofire! I need something to get off my (happy) divorce weight! I love the old school firm videos. Cheesy but effective!
Right now I am actually loving Bethany Frankel’s Yoga video with Kristen McGee. It is perfect for nights when I am too tired to take the kids to the gym but still want to get a workout in. Only problem is that I am usually doing a downward dog with a 2 year old using me for a tunnel! Talk about a Core Challenge! 🙂
TUR! BO! FIRE! TUR! BO! FIRE! I’ve never tried it and Chalene seems so amazing!
My favorite at-home work out is what you might refer to as “mattress mambo”. 🙂
I like to change up my workouts, but for now I’m loving P90X again. It keeps me moving along even though Tony Horton is a bit cheesy at times.
jillian’s yoga dvd!
My favorite at home workout option are the bodyrock workouts but I would love to try insanity!!
I’d love to try TurboFire! If I’m working out at home, I love Jackie Warner DVDs. I did P90X too and loved it.
I love my corefusion DVDs, I think I have every one! But I also like hard-core workouts!
If I’m working out at home I usually do some free weights circuits or a Zumba video. 🙂
How nice of Livi and Bella! You sure do have some good girls. 🙂
My standard home workout is a dance/chase session with my son and dog. We turn on the music, run around the house chasing each other, while taking booty shaking breaks!
My favorite home workout is ChaLEAN Extreme! My hubby and I do her program together before work in the mornings. I <3 Chalean's positivity and amazing energy!!! Never tried her Turbofire series, but imagine it is equally as awesome.
Wow! Thank you for sharing the Westlakes story with us! What a brave and amazing family they are! I can’t imagine going through what they’ve been through. My son was born 2 months early and in the hospital for 7 weeks but thank the good lord completely healthy. I can’t imagine adding a rare skin disease to that stress. I pray things continue to improve for them.
I would love to win insanity it sounds amazing.
My fave thing to do at home is actuallyi just jump rope and jumpin jacks tabata style. Sometimes I will throw in a jillian michaels dvd too.
I like to do “family workouts” where my husband and I spot each other on crunches, oblique twists, weights, etc and our 5 year old son counts the reps. He practices Spanish numbers when we did jumping jacks and burpees, and tries his hand at french numbers when we do lunges and squats. We get quality time together, just the three of us…away from screens and other obligations, and our son learns (and participates) about the value of fitness! Win, win, win!
Awesome giveaway…I would love to try TurboFire! My at home workout is step aerobics on a milk crate! Clearly I need to update my fitness routine!
Wow! Wow #1 – great video link and I’ve not just Liked it but sent it out to a bunch of people. Helping someone like that even in a tiny way warmed my heart when I was having a tough day today. It’s true that the 1st thing I should do is get out of my own head and find someone to help OFTEN. Thanks so much for the reminder Gina!
Wow #2 – Way to model paying it forward with an awesome give away! This made me think of what I could do to pay it forward so I’m now about to shop to make dinner for my neighbor who has 4 kids and has not been feeling great for a couple of days. Thanks for that Gina!
Wow #3 – great workouts! I just got Turbo Fire and haven’t started it yet so I don’t need to be entered in the contest BUT your post reminded me of the old The Firm VHS tapes (yes, VHS LOL) I used to love doing at home. Haven’t thought of them in a while and I think I’ll do one today for a kick and nostalgia (if my VCR still works after a long hiatus.)
LOVED the post today – it gave me a lot and I’m grateful. THANK YOU!
I love Jillian’s 30 day shred! I also like having a treadmill at home, so I can hop on and walk a few miles while watching TV – especially during the Texas summer months when it’s too hot to even look outside!!
I really, really, really want TurobFire!!!
