Don’t you love when something totally unexpected makes your day a little brighter?
(Gorgeous full moon last night! Now if only I knew how to make my camera photograph it like an actual moon instead of a dot, that’d be kinda cool)
Well, that’s what happened yesterday 🙂
First I was excited to see a package that didn’t have the Amazon smiley face on it –those tend to pop up over here pretty frequently- and then I saw “perishable food” and things got even more ridic.
A package of Chicago foodie goodies from our good friends Mara and Adam 🙂
Carol’s cookies, Garrett’s popcorn and a deep dish pizza. No words.
I couldn’t open the popcorn fast enough….
and put the pizza in the oven, just in time for the Pilot to get home from work.
Random acts of kindness are truly amazing, and whenever someone does something nice for me, it makes me want to share the positive energy with someone else… so I thought it would be a great day for a giveaway- it’s been a while since we’ve had one of those over here!
After reading the comments on yesterday’s YouTube fitness post, I remembered that many of you also enjoy working out at home, so I thought I’d share one of my favorite at-home workouts with a blog friend:
Winner’s choice: Insanity or Turbofire
You can read my reviews in the links above and decide whether you would prefer a drill-based high-impact workout, or a dance meets kickbox high-energy workout. It makes it even harder to choose because Shaun T. is fun and verryyyy nice to look at, and Chalene is a firecracker of motivation and energy.
All ya have to do:
-Leave a comment with your favorite at-home workout option
(If it’s your first time commenting, I’ll be approving those throughout the day, so no worries if it doesn’t show up right away)
This giveaway is sponsored by Livi and Bella- the winner will be chosen tonight at midnight EST and announced tomorrow am.
To sweeten the deal:
Hope you have an amazing humpday!
See ya later with a Family post.
xoxo

I have access to a treadmill at home, it makes fitness easier to fit into my busy lifestyle!
Core fusion DVDs!
I use yogadownload.com and download different yoga options for at home….it’s super easy. I also have some pilates and yoga dvds. I’d love some more high-intensity options! 😉
OMM (Oh My Macaroonssssss!!!! it’ll catch on…) I have tried the P90X DVDs and liked them, but my absolute fav was something I found through the old Exercise on Demand channel. It’s the YogaWorks Bodyslim DVD…I was hooked from the start, and have a girl crush on Jesse Schein, the instructor. It’s the perfect fix of yoga when I can’t get to a studio for an actual class.
I’ve been stuck on the bodyrock workouts lately! The stairwell at the roof of my apartment building is perfect for working out.
Bob Harper on dvd! He is the best, although I would love to try Insanity 🙂
Ahh so excited about this! I’ve been wanting to try these workouts forever, as the gym can be costly. I’ve been enjoying Jillian Michael’s DVD workouts at home, but would LOVE to amp it up 🙂
I like Jillian Michaels 30 day shred or P90X!!
Favorite, albeit boring, home workout is run/walk intervals on my basement treadmill. Rolling out of bed crazy early in the AM and heading downstairs is the only way I can get my workout in.
My favourite at-home workout is Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred! I love it because it is only 20 minutes, so on those days when I don’t have the time to get to the gym, I still have time to get sweaty. Plus, I love that there are three levels, so I’m always striving to get fit enough to make it to the next one. Thanks Livi and Bella!
Insanity is my fave at-home workout! But now that I’m pregnant, I’ll probably have to switch to something a little less cray, so Turbofire would be perfect!
i have the 30-day shred which i’ve not enjoyed, but i do think they’re a good workout. 🙂 my favorite thing to do, though, is just put together a workout myself!
If I’m working out at home, I will usually just pop in a Jillian Michaels DVD. They get me nice and sweaty everytime! 🙂
I love doing pop pilates at home…which I learned about through your blog! Or doing a long at-home yoga sesh.
Great giveaway! My favorite at home workouts are the free Jillian Michaels videos on OnDemand!
Ah this is an amazing giveaway! My favorite at-home workout is a pilates tape by Ana Caban. She’s calming and the moves are challenging!
For me, I love to workout to Zumba, Jillian Michaels videos and running/ walking with my dog. The walking dog part is great because 5 & 7 yr old comes along so we all get and enjoy some exercise.
BTW: I have been following your blog for a few months now and enjoy reading your posts.
Wow! I love Jillian Michaels dvds or some of the Wii- EA Sport games! I’ve been dying to try TurboFire though!
I like body rock, it really rocks!!
Amaaaaazing giveaway Gina!
Ana
I am all about Bodyrock.tv and home yoga practice!
When I first started working out it was with Denise Austin Videos at home. Then I branched out to other videos and did a home yoga practice until I discovered bodyrock.tv in 2010! Now I usually do a mix of walking, occasional jogging, bodyrock, and yoga.
The yoga practice that got me going at home was Rodney Yee’s Moving Towards Balance: 8 weeks of yoga with Rodney yee.
Hope you have an amazing day with your GORGEOUS daughter! she looks so much like you!
I like to do circuit workouts at home!
BodyRock or yoga podcasts!
<3
I am huge fan of doing P90X especially when I have no time to make it to the gym!
Pilates!
My favourite at home workout is Jillian Michael’s Yoga Meltdown, I’m loving it at the moment! I’ve never found a cardio workout DVD that I really love and gets me super sweaty.
my favorite at-home workout is generally something fun and dance related from on-demand, some are really tough workouts and some are just plain silly 🙂
I would love insanity, drill/bootcamp style work well for me:)
Quick high-cardio sets are great for at home when I’m in a time crunch!
going for a run with the jogging stroller! OR OnDemand workouts. We are doing “onehundredpushups” for fun right now. woo too!
p.s…lOVE garrett’s popcorn!
I get a good feeling after a 30 minute walk around my ‘hood………..it’s on a hill, so going up and around it includes incline………………so I feel it after I am done……………!
I’d love to try insanity! I usually do circuit workouts at home
I love the Jillian Michaels dvds. Particularly the 30 day shred.
I would love the insanity video. Our treadmill is the best investment I ever made. I use it all the time. There’s no excuses not to run now 🙂
Running around after 4 kids is a workout in itself, but other than that, yoga and stretching are what I’m doing right now. I would love to try one of your 2 options though!
I have most of Jillian’s DVDs and enjoy doing those at home. I also have a treadmill for quick at-home cardio!
aw you’re so sweet. i love Jillian Michaels body weight training dvds 🙂
Lately I’ve been loving the new Shed and Shred DVD (levels 1&2 together? Killer!)
I live dance based workouts. I hardly notice I’m exercising and they are so nice to do now that I’m a Mom and making it to a gym gets crazy with my hubby ‘s schedule.
I love to do yoga videos at home!
But Id love to get the TurboFire to switch it up from yoga a bit. Funny story – I had my boyfriend do a yoga video with me and he just so happened to get the flu a couple days later. He swears it was the yoga and has never done the video with me again! Getting a new workout DVD would maybe encourage him to partake in the workout video fun again! 🙂
I love The Dailey Method workout DVD to do at home as i am an instructor at The Dailey Method Willow Glen, CA! It is a great workout and a mix between Core Strength, Yoga, Pilates and Ballet work. I love it! I also love Jillian Michaels workouts on Comcast TV, but recently they took her off so i am very sad about that. 🙂 Have a great day! Would love to try the TurboFire!
I love the Nike training camp app on my iPod. I love circuits!
I LOVE Turbofire, it is a great at home workout. I don’t have a gym membership and would love to try Insanity to mix things up a little. 🙂 And adding macaroons to this….wow!
First off, prayers going out for little Brenna.
TURBOFIRE!! I would be so appreciative of this!
My at-home workouts are in a slump right now. Typically they consist primarily of Pilates, and I have been *wanting* to incorporate a DVD system into this. I tend to slump to the gym everyday after work, which is becoming more and more crowded and it is just not the relaxing TURBOFIRE I am craving right now.
Speaking of craving, those macaroons — there truly are no words 😉
Thank you Gina!!
Just a reply to correct my email
I love doing yoga podcasts for an at home workout! Great giveaway!
I make-up a lot of my own workouts to do at home using things like burpees, mountain climbers, and other body weight movements. Lately though I’ve been loving Zuzana’s ZWOWs. I <3 her!
I have been following your blog for a few months now and love it! I’ve been doing Jililan Michaels at home, but would love to try Turbo Fire!
i really enjoy jillian michael’s DVDs! she kicks my booty!
What an amazing, AMAZING giveaway! I am currently loving Jillian’s 30 Day Shred DVD.
My newest workout option is finding a workout (or multiple ones to combine) on Pinterest, and I can tell these will stay a favorite for awhile. There are some great ones located throughout the fitness category!! Love love love it!
30 day shred!!
