Share the love {giveaway}

Donโ€™t you love when something totally unexpected makes your day a little brighter?

moon

(Gorgeous full moon last night! Now if only I knew how to make my camera photograph it like an actual moon instead of a dot, thatโ€™d be kinda cool)

Well, thatโ€™s what happened yesterday ๐Ÿ™‚

package

First I was excited to see a package that didnโ€™t have the Amazon smiley face on it โ€“those tend to pop up over here pretty frequently- and then I saw โ€œperishable foodโ€ and things got even more ridic.

cookies5

A package of Chicago foodie goodies from our good friends Mara and Adam ๐Ÿ™‚

Carolโ€™s cookies, Garrettโ€™s popcorn and a deep dish pizza. No words.

I couldnโ€™t open the popcorn fast enoughโ€ฆ.

and put the pizza in the oven, just in time for the Pilot to get home from work.

Random acts of kindness are truly amazing, and whenever someone does something nice for me, it makes me want to share the positive energy with someone elseโ€ฆ so I thought it would be a great day for a giveaway- itโ€™s been a while since weโ€™ve had one of those over here!

After reading the comments on yesterdayโ€™s YouTube fitness post, I remembered that many of you also enjoy working out at home, so I thought Iโ€™d share one of my favorite at-home workouts with a blog friend:

image image

Winnerโ€™s choice: Insanity or Turbofire

You can read my reviews in the links above and decide whether you would prefer a drill-based high-impact workout, or a dance meets kickbox high-energy workout. It makes it even harder to choose because Shaun T. is fun and verryyyy nice to look at, and Chalene is a firecracker of motivation and energy.

All ya have to do:

-Leave a comment with your favorite at-home workout option

(If itโ€™s your first time commenting, Iโ€™ll be approving those throughout the day, so no worries if it doesnโ€™t show up right away)

This giveaway is sponsored by Livi and Bella- the winner will be chosen tonight at midnight EST and announced tomorrow am.

To sweeten the deal:

roons

Hope you have an amazing humpday!

See ya later with a Family post.

xoxo

I like to run in my neighborhood and then do lunges, crunches, push-ups, planks, etc. on my front porch. No fancy equiptment, no driving anywhere and it’s a good way to say hi to my neighbors as they’re coming home from work ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have wanted to try Insanity for the longest time!!! Based on your review, it sounds like such a good way to shake things up right before bikini season!

  16. Susan on March 7, 2012 at 4:30 pm

  17. jeri on March 7, 2012 at 4:31 pm

I like yoga podcasts at home. Either of these would be a great way to get my boyfriend to work out with me!

  18. Heather on March 7, 2012 at 4:32 pm

My fave at home workout is (power) yoga. After getting bored of the classes, then videos, which took a surprising amount of time actually, I learned what poses feel the best for stretching + strength training for me. So I put on whatever music I am in the mood for and challenge myself to hold the hardest poses for as long as I can. I can skip the talking and keep myself working hard for at least an hour, and feel fabulous + “noodle-y” afterwards. Yoga, for me, is best when I train myself.

Thanks to lovely Livi and Bella for sponsoring such a great giveaway! (And you for being rockstar enough to want to make strangers ‘roons again!)

  19. Sarah on March 7, 2012 at 4:32 pm

What a wonderful thing to give away!

Right now I am in the Push month of Chalean Extreme and I. LOVE. IT! Chalene is awesome, she’s so motivating and happy and not a drill sergeant like some other people (ahem, Jillian, who I got tired of very quickly – her style just wasn’t for me). I am definitely noticing some muscle growth and definition and I actually look forward to my workouts – that, to me, makes it worthwhile and therefore my favourite at-home workout program.

Hugs to Livi and Bella for the giveaway ๐Ÿ˜‰
