Share the love {giveaway}

Don’t you love when something totally unexpected makes your day a little brighter?
(Gorgeous full moon last night! Now if only I knew how to make my camera photograph it like an actual moon instead of a dot, that’d be kinda cool)
Well, that’s what happened yesterday 🙂
First I was excited to see a package that didn’t have the Amazon smiley face on it –those tend to pop up over here pretty frequently- and then I saw “perishable food” and things got even more ridic.
A package of Chicago foodie goodies from our good friends Mara and Adam 🙂
Carol’s cookies, Garrett’s popcorn and a deep dish pizza. No words.
I couldn’t open the popcorn fast enough….
and put the pizza in the oven, just in time for the Pilot to get home from work.
Random acts of kindness are truly amazing, and whenever someone does something nice for me, it makes me want to share the positive energy with someone else… so I thought it would be a great day for a giveaway- it’s been a while since we’ve had one of those over here!
After reading the comments on yesterday’s YouTube fitness post, I remembered that many of you also enjoy working out at home, so I thought I’d share one of my favorite at-home workouts with a blog friend:
Winner’s choice: Insanity or Turbofire
You can read my reviews in the links above and decide whether you would prefer a drill-based high-impact workout, or a dance meets kickbox high-energy workout. It makes it even harder to choose because Shaun T. is fun and verryyyy nice to look at, and Chalene is a firecracker of motivation and energy.
All ya have to do:
-Leave a comment with your favorite at-home workout option
(If it’s your first time commenting, I’ll be approving those throughout the day, so no worries if it doesn’t show up right away)
This giveaway is sponsored by Livi and Bella- the winner will be chosen tonight at midnight EST and announced tomorrow am.
To sweeten the deal:
Hope you have an amazing humpday!
See ya later with a Family post.
xoxo

I know this one is super controversial but I must admit that I absolutely adore the Tracy Anderson workouts, I do my own cardio, not her dance workouts but her mat workouts are amazing and I have seen such amazing transformations in my body, LOVE!
I’m also a huge fan of using my Kinect and doing fun workouts; Zumba, Dance Central and Just Dance are a few of my favs 😀
I haven’t tried either but I think I’d like to try Turbofire, you make it sound awesome!
My fave at-home workout of late has been Just Dance for the Wii. My hubby and I do it together and have a total blast dancing like fools and getting super sweaty in the process. I treat it like Zumba: I don’t care what I look like or if I have the dance moves down pat, I just keep moving and shaking!
BodyRock for the win!! But, the youtube channels that you blogged about yesterday got me excited to try a few new things. Thanks for the links!
I like a variety of exercise DVD’s, especially the Firm!
Right now I am absolutely obsessed with Physique 57’s DVD’s!
I teach Zumba and work out regularly at the gym (although I’ve had to tone down my workouts since I’m 6 1/2 months pregnant … your pregnancy workouts have really helped!), so I try to focus on flexibility when I’m working out at home.
My go-to at home workout is the Barre3 DVD (as a dancer, I love it!) followed by yoga (Seane Corn, or whatever Baptiste is on Netflix).
Keep up the great work!
When I work out at home I love doing Zumba! BTW I really enjoy reading your blog!
I love me some Jillian Michaels 🙂 Her new-ish Ripped in 30 is my newest obsession for some weights action before or after a run (woo marathon training!)
That said, I’ve been lusting after TurboFire for a while and would be STOKED to be able to try it! (and the roons…hahah)
I LOVE turbofire!!
I love kettlebell workouts. I’m still fairly new to the program, but I find it fun & energizing!
ROONS! MMM.
My favorite at home workout is Chalean Extreme. I am dying to try Insanity tho!
My fave at-home workout is a combo of yoga with Ugi ball and sandbag thrown in at the end!
Ahh I’ve always wanted to try both of these! I like doing at home yoga from yogadownload or sometimes I hit up JM’s Shred workouts. So convenient!
I would LOVE to have Insanity! I wanted to get it, but too pricey! At home I usually do Jillian Michaels workouts and Gwen Lawrence yoga.
I love to do 8 minute abs or P90x- Ab Ripper X at home… after walking the dog of course. Nothing is more challenging (and adorable) than trying to do a workout at home with a crazy dog in your face!
oh my gosh – what an awesome giveaway! I’ve been wanting to try both Insanity and TurboFire for the longest time! I really like ‘Ripped in 30’ by Jillian Michaels and then Yoga tutorials they have OnDemand thru my cable. I also browse thru the fitness section of Pinterest and have found some great options there.
My favorite at-home workout is definitely tabata
I enjoy my Zumba dvd at home the most, and go to an actual class occasionally too!!
I love at home workouts – I just tried Jillian Michaels yoga, and I think I might love it.. it keeps me moving any yet relaxes me too! I’ve always wanted to try Turbofire, though!
I love doing Pilates at home. I also like to walk with my husband. Turbofire sounds like something I would love, but I think doing the insanity workout with my husband would be so awesome.
my favorite at home workouts: is doing free exercise videos off of youtube (like you mentioned the other day!), Pilates, and playing just dance on the wii!
I love gentle yoga before bed. If I want to break a sweat, I do Jillian Michaels DVDs or something on Netflix or Hulu. I have been wanting to try Bodyrock and Insanity so badly, but I’m so cheap!
OMG I need the Insanity so bad! I have been wanting it for forever!
My favorite work out at home is a 4 mile run then afterwards:
Chest workout
4 sets &12 reps of barbell presses on an
1.Incline
2.Flat
AND THEN
3.Flat butterflies with dumb bells
4.Incline butterflies dumb bells
This is a great workout I am benching 65lbs and 25lb with dumb bells
I always save tough circuit workouts when I come across them online for when I do workouts at home!
I like to do yoga or Pilates at home while watching tv…on demand has some good options too.
I like to do pilates, one day, and cardio on the other from Blogilates.com and I like the tone it up girls workouts too.
TurboFire sounds really fun
Thanks!
I love using my Wii Fit to get a little at home work out action in. Livi & Bella are such sweethearts 🙂
I enjoy doing the insanity videos as well as P90x at home. My favorite Insanity is core cardio and my favorite P90x is Core. Can you tell I like Core workouts 🙂
I love TurboFire! It’s a great switch up from my regular at home workouts. I also have found some great workouts on Exercise TV.
Hi Gina! I have a fairly big workout DVD collection over here. I would live to win the Turbofire DVDs though! I have heard a ton of great things about them 🙂 l
Up until recently, my workouts have always been exclusively running – either on a treadmill or outside. But after a particularly nasty race, I’ve started doing lots more strength training. Right now my at-home workouts are fairly random strength workouts using a stability ball and 10lb/3lb weights. I would love to get something more structured and those DVDs sound like a great option!
My favorite at-home workout is probably doing random OnDemand videos – you never know what’ll be on there!
P90x!
I put my road bike on the trainer and ride while catching up on the DVR! I’ve been wanting to try Insanity for a while..it looks…insane 🙂
I like Jillian Michael’s dvd’s and when I can I like bike riding!
I like the ToneItUp videos!
I’ve always worked out at home! I love Kathy Smith so much. I usually do my work outs with her videos! I’ve actually seen fantastic results from them. In the summer I ride my bike a lot more since I live in Canada and it’s hard to do that with a whole bunch of snow!
For my at-home workouts I run outside or throw on a Turbofire DVD (I always end up a sweaty mess!) . Insanity is actually next on my list to try…and yes I love doing drills :). Thanks for the great giveaway!!
I love Jillian Michaels 30 day shred 🙂 I would love to try Insanity, heard so much about it!
I am a huge gym girl, but at home I do yogadownload or jillian michaels 30 day shred!
Bodyrock is definitely my fave!
I have stuck with Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred. Sometimes you only have 20 mimutes to do “something”…especially with the demands of family life…it’s worked for me. I’m totally going to try the online zumba!
My favorite workout at home is yoga 🙂
i loved doing P90X with the hubs…fun to spend time together while getting our a$$es handed to us by tony! 🙂
I love to Bodyrock! I have you to thank for introducing me to the awesomeness of Zuzana!
I used to have have Exercise TV as part of my cable package but they took it away last year. Boo! Now sometimes I do yoga or pilates from YouTube. I really love POP Pilates with Cassey! I’ve been dying to try out Insanity!!
We just moved and I can’t afford any of the gyms in DC. I have been trying to come up with new at home workouts and either DVD set would be great! Oh and those tasty macaroons would be worth it in themselves!
I love at good at home yoga or pilates sesh. Also sparkpeople.com has some really awesome at home workouts that I like to do from time to time.
My fave at-home workouts are boot camp style workouts that I find on Pinterest and Jillian videos. I would loooooove to try Insanity though!
I have a mini home gym in my garage since we live so far from the military base gym, where my husband works. I also like to run with my dog, bike, and do the Insanity videos!
