Sup, Betty Crocker

Hey guys! Howโ€™s your day been?

I have been a CLEANING MACHINE– lurve a sparkly casa ๐Ÿ™‚

house

house (3)

The puppers watched idly as I swiffered and dusted.

dogs

(Haha see Viesaโ€™s fried chicken basket toy?? She loves that thing)

I also busted out the chefโ€™s knives to get the rest of the prep work done for tonight,

knives

which makes me reminiscent of these daysโ€ฆ

photo

minus all of the times I cut myself chopping things at 105degrees ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hereโ€™s a pic of the raw calamari before breading it and putting it into the dehydrator to crispify.

calamari

Itโ€™s mushrooms!!! (MUSHROOM! MUSHROOM!)

Not raw fishโ€ฆ I donโ€™t think I could roll like that. Or even find a non-sushi fish in Valdosta that I would be comfortable eating raw ๐Ÿ˜‰

Some random eats:

Juice action:

juice

Almond butter + jelly (1/2 a piece came off when I was chiseling off a piece of frozen millet. It was destiny)

millet

Salad beast:

beast

This morningโ€™s yoga practice started this day off on such a *good* note- Iโ€™ve felt extra mellow all day. Why havenโ€™t I had yoga in my life recently?? No idea, but itโ€™s back now ๐Ÿ™‚

Time to shower my stinky face and get dressed.

See ya with a girls night re-cap ๐Ÿ˜€

xoxo,

Gina

Something to do: Last chance to hit up the Garlic Gold Sale! You get 8 shakers for $21 (4 different flavors) โ€“ it ends tonight. Thank you so much to those of you who have gotten in on the garlicky action <3

Something else to do: Please leave a comment with your blog address if youโ€™d like. (edited to say: omit the โ€œwwwโ€ if ya can, it will keep your comment from going into the spam folder. For example, fitnessista.com instead of www.fitnessista.com) I deleted my blogroll -it was cluttering the side of my blog and I want to increase it- and will be creating a new blogroll on its own page. I wonโ€™t be able to add all of the URLs that you guys post (there are so many blogs out there!) but I would love reminders of my favorites and canโ€™t wait to check out some new ones.

    Hi Gina!
Can I ask what brand of chef’s knives you use? I’ll be heading to holistic culinary school in the fall and will need to buy some GOOD ones, like Wusthof. Wondered which brand you chose and if you’d buy the same ones again. Thanks!

My blog is http://fitfeat.com/blog — I’d be CRAZY honored to be a part of your blogroll.

A clean house ALWAYS makes me feel less stressed. My fiance can feel the stress bubble start to build and he frantically tries to do some random straightening up before it bursts. He’s so nice.

I just started my own blog, inspired by all the amazing bloggers out there.

i’m new to the “good for you” bread crowd, and i was wondering how you decide what bread to eat. i’m really a fan of trader joe’s sprouted bread (just tried it this wk), but was curious if other breads are better–either taste or health ๐Ÿ™‚ any insight would be appreciated!

    • Fitnessista on June 4, 2010 at 9:11 am

tj’s sprouted bread is a great choice! their brown rice bread, quinoa bread and the ezekiel brand products are a good way to go, too
