Stitch Fix Maternity

Hi friends! How’s your Friday going?? Hope you’re having a great day! We’re enjoying some much-needed rain, and a snuggly day here at home.

The other day, I was so excited when a Stitch Fix (<— referral link!) box arrived on the doorstep. In my last SF post, I mentioned that I had a few meh boxes, and the last few have been amaaaaazing. Since I always love to see what friends get in their fixes, I thought I would post the latest goods. If you’re curious to learn more about Stitch Fix, here is my first post ever and my most recent fix. It’s an awesome way to try new styles that you wouldn’t pick for yourself, and also try on in the comfort of your own home.

Just like last fix, this one included some fun transitional pieces and a couple of maternity items.

Stitch Fix Maternity

Stitch Fix Maternity

Market & Spruce Corinna Striped Dolman Top and DL1961 Victoria Maternity Distressed Skinny Jean

Striped top and white maternity jeans Stitch Fix maternity win

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the top, because it’s a basic comfy, striped shirt. Then I realized how much I wear and love basic, comfy shirts it and knew it would get a lot of use. The white jeans were an instant keeper. I’ve been wearing my Joe’s all the time, and while they still fit, the button is a little painful by the end of the day. The elastic waistband on this pair is pretty dreamy. 🙂 Verdict: KEEP and KEEP.

Adelade Woven Fold-Over Clutch

Clutch from Stitch Fix

This clutch is perfect for some summer weddings or date nights, as all of my clutches were more wintery/black and outdated. I’m excited to have a fresh one in a spring/summer color! Verdict: KEEP.

Muse Maternity Ethel Maternity Dress

Coral dress Stitch Fix maternity win

(here’s a gorgeous dress in the same vibrant color)

Right away, I LOVED the color and pleats on the dress, but wasn’t sure how flattering it would be. This is why I’m so glad Stitch Fix gives you the option to try on at home. In the store, I probably would have admired the color and put it back on the rack. I love the color, and while it’s a little long, I decided to keep it. I think as my belly grows, it will be just the right length.

Ivy+Blu Sahar Maternity Dress

Stitch Fix maternity flower print dressI wanted to go crazy for this dress, because it has such a lovely, unique pattern. It’s a super light cotton, and would be perfect for dressing up or down this summer. When I tried it on, it felt bulky/frumpy (too much fabric). Verdict: Return.

Have you tried Stitch Fix? How was your last one??

Mama friends: where’s your favorite place to find maternity pieces? I’m trying to stick with a majority of items that will transition with me over time -that I might be able to use again later- but definitely need to grab some plain tanks and t-shirts.

Hope you have a lovely night!

xoxo

Gina

In full transparency, I paid for the above items using Stitch Fix credit from referrals to the brand over the past couple of years. Thank you so much for your support! I’m thrilled that many of you have tried it and love it as much as I do <3

Love your picks! I lived in striped comfy shirts during my pregnancy. I actually found that if I bought a size up of Splendid cotton shirts they fit really well and were so comfortable. I also found that my dresses were super long but worked well with my big belly!

That definitely was a successful fix! 🙂 I especially love that fun red dress and white clutch. How cute!

I am loving that Red pleated dress on you!! It looks good. But those shoes, those shoes need to come to my closet. Where did you find them??? I love sandal season.

During my preg last year I just wore some comfy maternity shorts from Target and cute blouses from Motherhood Maternity (on sale too). Other then that I wore my uniform and then my jammies at home LOL i was too hot and needed to be comfy. Being pregnant in the south in the summer is beyond miserable. I thought being deployed in the summer in the middle east in 130 degrees was bad..NOPE!

Wait so now I am super curious what you did with the last sticth fix! Did you return the skirt(the one that looked like a picnic blanket)?

    • Fitnessista on May 8, 2015 at 4:10 pm

I love that blue top and red dress! Super cute!

  6. Jill @ Champagne for Everyday on May 8, 2015 at 4:26 pm

I love the pattern on the last dress, it’s so sad that you didn’t like the fit! Lose some, win some. the striped top and white clutch are adorable and so on trend right now. I love Stitch Fix and Le Tote for being such a great solution for keeping your wardrobe fresh! As a fashion AND fitness blogger I have a lot to photograph and post about already so I haven’t gone for it yet, but I love the idea.

I’ve had such bad luck with my last few Stitch Fixes but all the same almost scheduled one last night. Then I went shopping at Anthropologie and went a little crazy 😉 Think I’ll wait on another fix for awhile… Where are your shoes from in the first pic with the white jeans?

  9. Morgan @ Managing Mommyhood on May 8, 2015 at 4:59 pm

I wore a select few basics when I was pregnant layered with cardigans and jewelry I could wear later, but seeing all these adorable maternity clothes makes me regret not stepping put of my comfort zone more

My next maternity StitchFix should come tomorrow, I can’t wait!

I had NO idea that you could get maternity clothing from Stitch Fix! That will come in handy a few years from now… I’m glad you posted this!

  12. Brittany on May 8, 2015 at 9:17 pm

That clutch is really cute! I’m jealous of your fix I got a lackluster one this month.

  13. s on May 8, 2015 at 10:59 pm

love the clutch… i have yet to try stitch fix, but it looks like you got some really nice pieces!

  14. Amanda on May 9, 2015 at 6:22 am

Ingrid and Isabel was my go-to for maternity clothes. They have great pieces that don’t scream “maternity”. And great basics. Also love Hatch, but it’s pretty pricey.

  15. Nicole on May 9, 2015 at 7:08 am

I still don’t know how I feel about Stitch Fix. My first fix was not good and didn’t reflect my style profile at all. I gave it a second try and got a dress that I love and a great pair of jeans, but the other three items were meh and priced pretty high for what they were. I struggle with gamble of spending $20 and then not liking anything and losing the money. Do you have any recommendations on how to make sure you get something you will like?

  16. Tracy on May 9, 2015 at 10:16 am

Thanks for sharing your stitch fix! It’s fun to see what you received. I especially love the red dress…very flattering on you!

  17. Christina on May 9, 2015 at 10:21 am

    Hi Gina!

I was wondering where those taupe wedges are from? In the picture with the stripe shirt. Thanks!

I have the same clutch in green from stitch fix and use it all the time! It’s one of my favorite purses!

  19. mary on May 9, 2015 at 6:19 pm

In my next life maybe I’ll have a body type where I can mail order clothes that a stylist picks for me but right now, it’s not among my many blessings. I’m jealous because it sounds so fun. LOL

That clutch is super cute! I have a thing for bags.

Looks like you got another winner of a fix! Cute stuff!

My go-to this pregnancy has been Thred Up! I’ve found some super cute and practical pieces that are very affordable.

  22. Alex @ True Femme on May 10, 2015 at 9:02 am

I love the pieces you decided to keep! I only tried Stitch Fix once and I ended up keeping a bracelet and a sweater. I’d really love to try it again for spring/summer/fall clothes! I think it’s a fun way to try something that you might not usually try on in a store!

  23. Amanda on May 11, 2015 at 4:06 am

That striped top with the skinny jeans looks great on you!

  24. Kelsey on May 11, 2015 at 6:40 am

My last one is okay – I kept 1 piece, which has been consistent with the 3 boxes I’ve received so far. I’ve found that pretty much all the dresses they send me end up being frump city, which is unfortunate. I’m sure it’s hard to fit body type (I have a larger chest size than waist size) based on the general info stylists know, but I usually only find 1 piece that works. However, I loooved the tank top they sent me this week! Definitely something I wouldn’t usually buy if I saw it in the store.

  25. Jacki on May 11, 2015 at 9:02 am

My last StitchFix was the first one where I kept all five pieces. I was on the fence about a pair of pants, but the cost of them was close to the savings for buying all five items, so I just kept them! I’m going to pin that clutch. I think they stopped sending me accessories of any kind because I kept leaving comments about how ridiculously expensive they were 🙂

  26. Whitney on May 13, 2015 at 9:12 am

I Love your booties in the second picture! Where are they from?

    • Fitnessista on May 13, 2015 at 9:15 am

      thank you! justfab

  27. Trish on May 15, 2015 at 5:16 am

These maternity clothes are so cute. I had maternity fixes done before they went official, so I guess I was a tester, and now they have even more brands. My bought some simple tanks at Target and then I lucked out and got some cute stuff at Gap Maternity when they did a big 60% off sale around the holidays. I was able to get maternity jeans there for less then $15 a pair.

  28. Cassie Vaughn on May 15, 2015 at 5:48 am

I just now (22 weeks) admitted my pants were too uncomfortable to wear anymore. They were still buttoning last week… but I was afraid every time I had to rebutton that they wouldn’t. Oops. I am mostly getting maternity stuff off zulily. I’ve also picked up some larger regular skirts and tops from old navy.

  29. Misty on May 19, 2015 at 3:13 pm

I got that same multi-color print dress in my fix and there is NO WAY that it’s a maternity dress. At 12 weeks I’m only showing a bit and it was already pulling up in the front and it absolutely would not fit someone at 6 months pregnant. I’m so disappointed in my first fix. I hated everything in it.

    • Fitnessista on May 19, 2015 at 3:38 pm

leave super detailed about why you didn’t like what they sent and they can use that to tweak your next one!
