9/13: Friday faves

-A reunion with Mexican food. Since we all decided that I’m not about to attempt the glorious Italian food we ate -guess we’ll just have to go back one day!- I’m sticking with what I know.

Like enchis.

I had a little helper in the kitchen, and there’s no doubt that she made them even better than they usually are.

(Some cheese blobs were missing, though)

+ some tamales!

Nana brought these green corn tamales over, and this salad (with chicken, tamale, tomatoes, greens, avocado and salsa) was perfect in between classes

-Speaking of classesโ€ฆ I am SO sore. Like, it hurts a little to be alive. I felt great while I was teaching on Wednesday, but for my classes yesterday, it was a little painful. Sometimes moving helps, but the only thing that really does the trick is this thing:

The foam roller’s angry cousin.

At night, you can hear me rolling in the closet, trying to laugh instead of cry.

-I feel like I’m telling everyone the best secret ever, but this perfume is a life-changer.

When I mentioned that I wished LUSH made a perfume that smelled like my beloved Ro’s Argan body conditioner or my favorite rose bubbleroon bath bomb, a reader (thank you, Lilah!) let me know about this perfume. It smells EXACTLY like my favorite LUSH products and was so inexpensive. You can check out the website here— they also have a ton of natural bath and body products.

-The cake at Katie’s “sprinkle” last night:

Sprinkle cake

I guess “sprinkle” is what they call baby showers for baby #2. (I had no idea. Cute, huh?) It was cowboy-themed, and we almost felt bad cutting into the beautiful cake our friend had made.. until we ate it ๐Ÿ˜‰ Delicious.

-This print from Positano. We picked up a few, and surprisingly they made it back unharmed. I’m excited to frame them:

Moving Comfort was so kind to send me some goodies to try from their fall lookbook. I’m a huge fan of their sports bras -they keep things in place nicely, even during high-impact workouts- and when the weather cools down, I’ll absolutely love wearing the comfy jackets and pants.

-This brow pencil. Tarte is one my favorite makeup lines, but at almost 30 years old, I’m still learning how to put on makeup. A little brow pencil goes a long way!

What are you loving this week?

Do you wear perfume? I stopped for quite a while since Livi’s skin is sensitive, but find that essential oils don’t bother her.

Any fun fitness plans on the horizon?

Last chance to pre-order our DVD! It official launches on MONDAY ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you again to all of you for your support– we hope you love it ๐Ÿ™‚

xoxo

I can’t get enough of Trader Joe’s unsweetened, unsulphered New Zealand Sweet Apple Rings. I go through one bag per week!

I am loving my new dehydrator and the awesome cheesy kale chips i made!

i am loving that perfume, i just bought it!

AND i must share – because you reminded me of it. I am obsessed with my Urban Decay eyebrow box! its 2 shades of brown, comes with angled brushes, and a finishing wax. Apparently, you should never use pencil because it colors the skin below the hair rather than the hairs. WHO KNEW. This purchase was a life saver and i do my brows before leaving my house everyday….before any other makeup this is on.

I have a serious craving for enchiladas, is your recipe posted anywhere? Thanks!

I bought that rose perfume because i love rose everything and was so disappointed! It had a dingy smell…i cant even explain it. Almost like old lady, but like a musky tone to it?
