Spring fitness faves

Hey hey! The weekend is almost here and I’m ready for it! This week has felt a bit more frantic and crazy than usual, so I’m definitely looking forward to chillin’ with the fam and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! Make sure to add this cocktail your St. Paddy’s festivities; it’s our very fave.

For today, let’s talk about spring since it randomly shot down to 40 degrees again around here. (My friends that were hit with real snow are welcomed to throw their mittens at me.) I’m definitely looking forward to the spring days, taking my workouts outside more often (the dogs are too! I’ve been horrible about walking them lately) and enjoying warmer afternoons. The girls are really into riding their scooters and playing outside, so I love to sit on the patio and watch them.

Spring Fitness Fashion Faves

I’m also ready to revamp the ol’ spring fitness wardrobe, especially since the collection doesn’t fit the same way after surgery. (<— especially tops)

I thought I’d share some of my favorite finds if you’re looking for some spring fitness gear. It’s an easy way to add a little motivation to your workouts, too! I always work a little harder when I strap on some new sneakers or put on a new pair of lulu shorts.

Pizza top

Tanks and tops:

Mindful tank.

Cover tank.  (The blue is pretty!)

Pizza print top! Stop with this.

All tied up tank.

Pixie active tank.

Dazzle tank. The orange color is something a little different! I’ve been guilty of wearing a ton of black and grey lately. Spring is a good chance to bring out the color!

Reps then rosé. Words to live by.

Reps then rose

Sweaters or long sleeves for to and from the studio:

En route hoodie. <— on sale

Twisty turn tee.

Moto hoodie.

“Don’t hate, meditate” pullover.

Mix and mesh long sleeve.

Cross me once pullover top.

Bodysuit

Crops, shorts, and leggings:

The BEST leggings. The also have a cropped version with super cute mesh panels.

I LOVE this bodysuit for yoga!! Just ordered this yesterday. It’s pretty convenient that it’s an outfit in one, and you can throw a jacket or hoodie on with it and wear it to coffee/breakfast after. Excited!

Perfect grey shorts. <— I tend to prefer shorts that are a little longer (I don’t want my booty popping out when I squat), and these look like the ideal inseam.

Blossom hot yoga short. Fitted for yoga practice with a fun print.

Commando 3/4 tight.

Blush high rise leggings.

Sore AF

Accessories and shoes:

Classic black sports bra.

Working out

New Nike Epic React Flyknits. I’ve still been wearing these shoes a ton and love the bright spring colors. They’re insanely lightweight and ideal for HIIT and strength sessions.

Nike Epic React Flyknits

Invisibobble hair ties.

All in one backpack.

Sore AF sticky socks.

Third eye bra. This has a unique longer cut that would be cute with high waist pants or crops. It’s longer than a sports bra, but shorter than a tank.

Floral baseball cap.

Bose new wireless headphones! Bose sent us some of these to try – I’ve been a fan of their SoundSport wireless for years – and we’re already obsessed with them. I’m share more info in Friday Faves!

Glass water bottle.

Love the look of these new APL sneaks, too. The grey is a perfect classic sneaker, and they also have some gorgeous rose gold ones.

Any spring fitness finds that caught your eye? What’s your #1 favorite workout accessory or piece of gear? (I’d love to know because a big giveaway is OTW so I’ve got to gather the goods)

Happy Thursday and thank you for stopping by the blog today!

xoxo

I’ve been eyeing that shirt from Lulu that ties in the back too! They also have one called Free to be Wild that I want in purple, but I don’t know if I really need it in three colors…other than that, I still love the Nike Metcons for lifting! They are the only shoes I’ve found that don’t make me do the splits during the lunge track in BodyPump haha.

Do you have any favorite shorts from Athleta? 🙂 Also… Do you have the wunder tights or Align pants from Lulu..? What’s the major difference– so hard to tell online!

I just ordered some spring stuff from Senita Athletics. I love that their pants and shorts have pockets that hold even big phones, makes it so much easier than carrying my phone around in my hands

That pizza print top is amazing!

Bunheads bobby pins. They are the best bobby pins and I would be lost without them.

    • Fitnessista on March 16, 2018 at 2:35 pm

ok i need to try these!

      • Juliana on March 16, 2018 at 2:46 pm

They are amazing. I had to order some new ballet tights from discount dance and added them onto my order to get free shipping. Woah – they are they only ones that stay in my hair, and I only need 1 pin where i used to need to arrange 4.

I love those Lulu all tied up tanks, but they always sell out so quickly. I don’t understand why they don’t make more.

    • Fitnessista on March 16, 2018 at 2:35 pm

i think lulu does that on purpose to make things more exciting. when they’re gone, they’re usually gone

  9. Shelby on March 15, 2018 at 7:06 pm

Ahhh how exciting – we share a love of Hatha crops 🙂

I am obsessed with Smartwool sports bras. They are not too tight (I hate when I cant breathe) around the chest. Because they are wool, even after a super sweaty workout, they dry and dont smell at all. In love with them.

    • Fitnessista on March 16, 2018 at 2:34 pm

      ohhh i’ll check these out!

How are you liking the bodysuit?! I keep hearing from some friend who compete in weight lifting that they hate the body suits, while some like them. Curious what you are thinking about it.

I am not liking this sudden cold out of fear for the orchards! Last year we had something similar happen on the east coast and it killed the peach crops in New Jersey. Hope it didn’t happen to you! Nothing is better than local tree ripened stone fruits (mostly peaches ^__~)

    • Fitnessista on March 16, 2018 at 2:31 pm

i haven’t received it yet! excited to try it 🙂 i’m thinking it will be amazing for yoga; i can do all of the poses without having to readjust anything 🙂
i’m hoping this is the last of the cold! we shall see…
      happy weekend!

Chiming in to share my favorite workout accessories! For barre, definitely the grippy socks. For walking and going to/from the studio (barre, yoga, whatev), baseball caps and lightweight long-sleeve tees. Am I the only one who has a hard time finding shirts that are the right length? I need shirts that land in the middle — crop-tops are too short and long ones look like nightgowns.

    • Fitnessista on March 16, 2018 at 2:27 pm

perfect!! thank you! the same thing happens to me. i’ve been knotting all of my tanks lately because they look too long and baggy

  13. Jessica on March 19, 2018 at 12:14 am

Love the sentiment, but the accent over the e in “rosé” is facing the wrong way on that top! Bummer!

    • Fitnessista on March 19, 2018 at 2:24 pm

      ahhh that is a bummer!
