Oats and Cactus
Hey hey hey Happy Friday! Hope you’re having an amazing day.
I still can’t believe I live here now.
The mountains are so beautiful. I want to hug them.
I started my Friday off with a lovely Pilates class with my friend Michelle. Every time I practice Pilates, it reminds me how much I love it. It’s exciting to have it back in my life!
After class, we went to Bizzle for breakfast and coffee.
I brought my own gluten-free oats and Sun Warrior, and added it to hot water + a coffee with a pump of Gingerbread. Bzzzz
Some other recent eats and treats:
Takeout from Lovin’ Spoonfuls, a vegetarian restaurant
Green chili polenta covered with vegan cheese, with veg
Salad:
Chocolate:
I bought 20 of those babies at World Market. Obsessed.
The plan for the day is:
-errands (house stuff, post office)
-Zumba
-Black Swan (has anyone seen it?!)
Have a lovely Friday and I’ll see ya laterrrrr <3
xoxo

Sounds like a good day! I just finished baking and am getting ready to go shopping and then have the in-laws over for dinner. We saw Black Swan last weekend, it was really good and crazy intense. Have a great weekend!
Have a great weekend 🙂

I can’t wait to see Black Swan!! Natalie Portman is absolutely amazing and incredibly beautiful. They weren’t showing it in our area all month, but it just opened at one of the 3 theatres here today.
Black Swan is definitely Oscar-worthy.
have a FABULOUS weekend !
That is some seriously beautiful scenery! And I want sea salt dark chocolate.
I was craving some Starbucks today but then I took a peek at the nutritional info and it stopped me in my tracks. I’ll have to try your version if the urge strikes again!
I saw Black Swan. It was good. Intense but good. I thought it verged on camp a few times but for sure 3 out of 4 stars. 🙂 The peek into the ballet world was fascinating too!
i want to see that movie. it looks sogood.
I tried that chocolate before and mine had huge overpowering chunks of sea salt in it….does the little ones? (i got a full size bar)
I heard that movie was good! Let me know if it is!
Happy Friday Gina!
I wish I knew the name of those pink puffball flowers…I used to have them on my property in Phoenix and in San Diego, I have a whole row of bushes in front of my house with them…they are so colorful.
And the sky…so clear and BLUE!
Enjoy your weekend, Gina. And your 20 chocolates 🙂
i would definitely love to visit Tuscan, it looks so beautiful!
I am going to see it tonight too soo excited!! Loveeee Natalie Portman!
gorgeous mountains!
I saw Black Swan, VERY disturbing. Fair warning!
That food looks great, as does the scenery! Hope to hear your take on Black Swan…I really want to see it!
Nice chocolate! I’ve heard nothing but good things about Black Swan! 🙂
Lovin’ Spoonfuls=delicious! Definitely need to make a stop there when I visit Tucson. This blog makes me miss home even more but always makes me smile when I recognize places or just see the word “Tucson.” 😀
Black Swan was a good, dark, and somewhat disturbing movie. That’s what you should expect from that director though. Requierm for a Dream was pretty crazy. Stirs some emotions, for sure. 🙂 Those are beautiful mountain photos.
Happy Friday to you too! 🙂
Black Swan was SO GOOD– disturbing and dark, but good. Natalie Portman is totally going to win for Best Actress! I actually want to see it again!
Ahhh you must let me know how The Black Swan is! I’m dying to see it. Unfortunatly I don’t think it is playing in any of the theatres around me. I guess I’ll have to wait until it comes on video 🙁
AH
ah, makes me miss Arizona!!
I saw Black Swan last weekend with my sister – definitely a dramatic, intense movie.. I will be interested to hear what you think about it!
I’m officially jealous…I wanna live there too or any warm weather place for that matter. I think we’re gonna see “The Fighter” instead, but I heard Black Swan is good, too.
Sounds like a great day Gina! I haven’t seen Black Swan but I’ll be curious to hear how it is. Have a fab (rest of) Friday! 🙂
Isn’t sea-salted dark chocolate outta this world??? I can’t believe I went without it for so long!
STUNNING mountains. I’m probably going to Tucson in February for my first time- can’t wait to see the mountain views!
Sbux oats and SunWarrior from home gets me through Pilates instructor training every time, and is totally my go-to when I’m teaching and only have a half hour to eat. Glad you liked your class! (haha I’m such a Pilates geek)
isn’t it great to see the mountains? i love how looking at them makes me just realize how small i am…and it’s pretty comforting 🙂
Tuscan looks amazing, especially compared to the cold and snow here. 😛
I miss Tucson!! I’m gonna run away and hide out in the back corners of La Parilla. Love you <3
hahah we wont tell anyone where you’re hiding. and i’ll bring you fresh tortillas go to with the green salsa 😉
I made the raw biscotti you posted last night and it was amazing! It was my first time un-baking and you have now opened up a whole new world to me! I just wanted to tell you thanks.

Man those pictures make me miss Tucson like crazy!!!
Those mountains are so beautiful! Wish I could wake up to it everyday!
I live here in mesa but at the north east side near the base of the gorgeous superstition mountains and those mountains never get old. <3 So glas you are enjoying yourself here!!!
The sad news is I can’t take advantage of your Sun Warrior promotion as I don’t live in the U.S.
The heartening upside is that the UK distributor is also having a promotion – so I’ve got a little vanilla-flavoured consignment waiting for me when I arrive there next week! Am v excited to try it out! x
ive heard good things about black swan, enjoy!!
