Friday Faves
Hi friends! Happy Friday <3 I hope youโve had an ok week and are enjoying the morning. This week felt like a weird one, right?! I slept horribly all week (full moon what) and got a strange rash all over my neck, torso, and one spot on my hand. My doc still isnโt sure what caused the rash but it seems to be *knock on wood* on the way out. At least it hasnโt gotten worse in 48 hours? I just didnโt need anything extra to test my character right now lol.
Another piece of the week: Iโve been trying to get dressed and put on a little makeup every day. After wearing purely sweats and athletic clothes for about 7 weeks, I was just feeling blah and down. I thought if I at least put on some jean shorts each day, it might put a little pep in my step and bring a tiny smidge of normalcy (<โ I cling to anything that feels the slightest bit *normal* right now). It has absolutely helped. Weโre talking super casual because thereโs no reason to wear a sundress and wedges while trying to teach Liv square roots (yes, theyโre doing square roots in second grade) and supervise P while she pretends the house is her personal ninja course.
(tank on sale // jean shorts // sandals // earrings)
In the standard Friday spirit, here are some faves from the week and around the web! I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something youโre loving in the comments section below.
Read, watch, listen:
New episode of Some Good News.
YAY Disney Singalong this weekend.
The reason why our brains are foggy lately.
When small things are everything.
House and life:
A crazy story: I lost the Pilotโs wallet. He got home from a trip and put his keys and wallet on top of my car in the garage. I didnโt see them and left with the girls to get donuts one morning. We were driving on the main road out of our neighborhood, I heard a thunk, and saw something fly off my back window that looked like a piece of wood. I was SO confused because I knew I hadnโt hit anything and it took a couple of minutes to realize that it was the Pilotโs wallet. I circled around the street 4 times and couldnโt see it anywhere. The Pilot also walked on the side of the road, in 105 degree heat, looking for the wallet for probably an hour. We thought it was a lost cause until someone returned it to my momโs house!!! (Her address was on one of his IDs since we move so often.) YAY for good samaritans! Everything was in the wallet even though it had obviously been run over by a car or twelve.
(Yes, we still ended up getting donuts.)
Working with Havenly! Iโve mentioned this on the blog a couple of times, but we worked with Havenly last summer to redesign our formal living room. I wanted it to be more welcoming and โput togetherโ instead of hodge podge pieces from us moving from house to house.
Natalie really helped us with a cohesive design and I love that itโs more bright and welcoming! Instead of ordering everything at once, I waited and added things to the collection over time. Since we added the photo gallery, photo ledges, and Frida (our enormous Fiddle Leaf Fig), itโs finally finished!
Weโre currently working with Natalie again on our master bedroom and Iโm so excited with the concept that she designed. Iโll definitely report back once we get everything together. If you want to try out Havenly – itโs SO amazing for full designs or mini tweaks to update a current room, you can use my link for $50 off a full or $20 off a mini package.
Fashion + beauty:
Iโm going to be co-hosting a webinar with Tina and Arsy on Monday all about the Beautycounter opportunity.
This has been such a gamechanger for my business! Itโs added an additional full revenue stream and given me the opportunity to connect with amazing women and work with a company I truly believe in. If youโre interested in learning more about what it entails, sign up for the webinar here! Weโll also be sending out a replay if you canโt attend it live.
Click here to sign up! Iโd love to see ya in there.
Fitness + good eats:
The Sakara Life cookbook. I was going to order some of their meal delivery but decided to try out the cookbook first and see if I liked the food. The photos are gorgeous and I love that the cookbook doesnโt include extremely obscure ingredients. Many of them are more labor-intensive, but I canโt wait to try out a couple this weekend!
Not a fave: the Body by Simone App. I got 3-month access as a Beautycounter incentive but I tried a couple of workouts and was underwhelmed. The workouts didnโt seem very purposeful or structured (I canโt help but compare everything to the gold standard that is Les Mills. You can still use my link for 21 days free!) and this probably has to do with music rights, but the music isnโt great. More of my fave fitness apps are here!
These curry noodle bowls look amaaaazing.
Happy Friday, friends!

Just had to laugh because right away as I start reading your post I think โoh yep, poor sleep, full moon, ME TOOโ. And then the next line is you have a rash on your neck…. literally just finished putting hydrocortisone cream on a random rash on my neck?!?! Whoa. Haha
I agree on the BBS app. I really like some of her workouts on YouTube so I tried BBS TV on her website, mostly for the dance cardio. Then I tried the app thinking it would be better than the BBS TV, but eh.
Living room looks great! Where did you get the rug? Any chance you would be willing to share a link?

Donuts sound amazing! Those look insane:D!
Iโve been trying out some new noodle dish recipes. I made a very tasty drunken noodle last night. Iโm currently in desperate want of a haircut but donโt think itโs worth the risk….but might change my mind when it gets hotter
I really want to hire a professional decor person to create a zen look at my place! hahhahhaa…. to survive the quarantine.
