Friday Faves

Hi friends! Another week in the upside down. ๐Ÿ˜‰ How are you doing? Everything is going pretty well over here. The Pilot is back from a trip, the kiddos and I have gone to the pool every single day, and we started working on Livโ€™s school summer packet.

I live here now.

I hope you guys have been enjoying the extra fitness content lately because life-wise, I donโ€™t feel like I have a ton right now. We do pretty much the same things every single day and Iโ€™m reallyyyyyyy looking forward to the time when I can take a barre class and meet up with friends for a glass of wine. (Or even go on a date with the Pilot! We havenโ€™t been on a date since February.) For now, weโ€™re kinda just cranking away. The thought of school and what it will look like is still a significant stressor for me – so I just wanted to say thank you for being here and for making this blog a fun place to hang out. <3

House-wise, weโ€™re painting again this weekend!! A gallon of paint arrived yesterday so I asked the Pilot to get the painterโ€™s tape ready. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Of course, Iโ€™ll share the details as soon as weโ€™re finished, but it will be fun to have another project. (Weโ€™re doing the master bedroom and Iโ€™ll see if I can convince him to go after the bathroom cabinets, too. Our kitchen cabinet paint job is here!)

Weโ€™re going for a statement color in the master bedroom and Iโ€™m looking forward to seeing it come together.

For now, itโ€™s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! Here are some of my faves from the week and around the web. I always love to hear your faves, too, so please shout out something youโ€™re loving in the comments section below.

Read, watch, listen:

You can watch the first 50 seconds of Hamilton! I canโ€™t wait for July 3 to be here.

If youโ€™re looking for something to do with the kiddos this weekend, weโ€™ll be working on some #pimalovenotes.

21 surprising parenting tips. Ordering a Dirt Devil for the car in 3โ€ฆ2โ€ฆ

Intuitive eating for runners.

Fitness + good eats:

Daily Harvest ice cream. You guyyyyyyyys. If you havenโ€™t tried this yet, you need to do it. Iโ€™m not even a huge ice cream person – more of a cake, cookie, or brownie person – but Iโ€™m obsessed with this ice cream. Itโ€™s vegan, the ingredients are simple, and it tastes like a dream come true. If you havenโ€™t ordered from Daily Harvest yet, use my code FITNESSISTA for $25 off your first box!!

Epic 30-minute leg day workout.

Dry Farm Wines! They sent us some of their clean wines to try out and we loved the red blend. I love that these wines arenโ€™t made without additional chemicals or added sugar. Word on the street is that they will not give you wine headaches or a massive hangover. I cap it off at one or two glasses, so I canโ€™t fully review the hangover properties, but the flavor was awesome. You can check out more about their wines and how theyโ€™re made here.

(Not sponsored, but gifted)

Going to try these sweet potato chocolate muffins.

Total body mini band workout.

My friend Jess is hosting a virtual Momentum Fest this weekend if youโ€™d like to join in the fun. It starts this morning and all of the classes are virtual if youโ€™d like to check it out. Jess is an incredible instructor (and person!!) and has a talented lineup of presenters this weekend if youโ€™re looking for a wellness-based virtual event to attend.

These grilled scallops look amaaaazing.

Donโ€™t forget to try this weekโ€™s upper body and core burner!

Happy weekend, friends.

Iโ€™ll assure you, even tho it feels like yโ€™all are groundhog-day-living right now, itโ€™s still curiously calming to read, even tho yours and my life mirror a lot, so keep posting! ๐Ÿ™‚ Iโ€™ve been trying to use this time to push myself with the things I read (more culturally aware, more research based) but life can also be heavy, and your posts are sunshine!

Have a great weekend! I canโ€™t wait to see how the painting project turns out. I like your posts too. Itโ€™s a nice break from the heaviness of the world. I donโ€™t think the gym in my location is ever reopening (and itโ€™s a well-known chain). They have another one open in a town near me but itโ€™s just not close enough for me to utilize it with worrying about my kids in the mix too. Luckily, Iโ€™ve been used to at-home workouts but I do miss the gym. Iโ€™ll have to figure out a new gym when things hopefully subside. Have a good one!

thank you! it’s a nice distraction for me, too, with everything going on
same. i don’t think i’ll be working out in a studio or gym again for a long time, but i definitely miss it

Iโ€™m in need of some new exercise bras and tops over here. Would love any suggestions you have! You always manage to look nice in your workout clothes while Iโ€™m over here in holey t shirts
