When I first started my weight loss journey, I quickly realized that it was not worth it to spend money on clothes during that time. I’d go buy an outfit for work, and it would be too big before I could wear it. It may seem like a “problem that’s not really a problem,” but clothes can be costly, and it’s a waste if you don’t get to wear them. I halted the clothing purchases since I knew my size would be temporary until I reached a healthier weight. Since then, I’ve always told my training clients to minimize clothing expenses while we’re working together, and instead to use a clothes shopping spree as an awesome reward when they hit their goal.
Many of you will hit new fitness goals with the Summer Shape Up. Even if the scale doesn’t budge -muscle is more dense than fat, so you could technically weigh the same and have a lower body fat percentage- your clothes could fit you differently. Maybe you just hit a fitness goal and want to celebrate, or could use a bit of a closet overhaul.
I’d like to share my Stitch Fix credit with a few lucky winners as the first Shape Up giveaway.
I have a credit with Stitch Fix from referring people to the brand over the past 6 months or so. At first, I thought it would be cool to get a discount on what I purchase from them since I love my monthly Stitch Fix box, and the credit continued to grow. I was trying to think of a good way to use it and quickly thought of the perfect solution: give back to YOU, since you’re the reason why I have a credit with them in the first place.
I emailed Stitch Fix to see if it would be possible to do a giveaway and they more than happy to help me set it up.
Today’s giveaway is $3500 of Stitch Fix credit: $500 each to seven lucky winners. That’s a lot of new clothes!
You don’t have to have a Stitch Fix account to enter and don’t necessarily have to be participating in Summer Shape Up.
If you’re unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, check out these posts about how it works.
Here’s how to enter:

I would simply love to try stitch fix! I live in Baltimore, MD and haven’t met anyone around here that’s used it before. Would be awesome to see how it works!!
Who doesn’t love new clothes?! This is such a generous giveaway Gina! Thank you for sharing!
Over the past year, I have really tried to focus on REAL health, fitness, and nutrition, but also getting past some old self-esteem issues; while going through my closet recently, it really hit me how much those issues had manifested them in my choice of clothing. While outwards image is by no means the most important thing about a person, clothes are definitely a reflection of how we FEEL about ourselves on the inside. I would love to get some awesome new clothes (and stylish fashion help in picking them, since I’m still mostly clueless!!) as an outward reflection- plus, I’d love to shock my fiance! :-p
Loved the first workout!
Loved the first workout!
I want to win not only because my body has changed so much in the past 6 months from Crossfit, but also because I’ve been (enviously!) reading your reviews of Stitchfix and aching to give it a try!
I could sooo use some fancy new clothes!! This is an amazing giveaway!!
Stitch Fix looks awesome! What a great idea.
Loved workout #1. Made me realize I haven’t been working out as hard as usual, but got it done with some inspiration from my friend Kelsey. She’s doing the summer shape up with me ๐ For HIIT, we ran around my house (45 seconds) then did intense 45 seconds rotating between high knees, butt kickers and jumping jacks. Feeling good. ๐
Thank you for the Summer Shape Up! Needed it to get me back on track.
Love you Debbie! That workout definitely kicked our butts! Loved it ๐
Hi Gina!
I would love to win because I am a military wife in the middle of our 7th PCS! Packers and move start tomorrow! I am stressed but also excited about the next duty station. Needless to say I can’t remember the last time I shopped for myself! Winning would be a great morale booster for these crazy days and weeks to come.
I enjoy your blog so much!
Thank you!
This workout was just what I needed! I got a little off track in regards to my health, went from working out and eating mostly well to doing absolutely nothing and eating poorly while traveling. It made me realize just how important working out and eating habits are for how I (and my body) feel. I overall feel much better and more confident when I work out (makes me feel strong and empowered). This summer shape up is perfect timing with wanting to get back into and revamp my healthy habits. Thank you for the inspiration and help with putting this all together! And I know having some new clothes that accentuate my healthier, happier body would be an extra incentive to staying on track. ๐
I’d love to win because I was never good at shopping, and I don’t have the “eye” for putting items together. I would love to take the guessing out of shopping!
I have been enjoying my fixes for the the last few months but it can get a little spendy so that is why I would love to win. I have gotten some fun things and I love that I end up keeping things and loving them when I never even would have tried them on in the store. I was wearing one of the shirts one day and my husband said it was his favorite shirt of mine.
I always love the SSU, but I think this year’s is going to be the best one yet!
I just had a baby and I’m still a few weeks away from being able to work out, but I’m definitely going to use the summer shape up to get rid of the extra baby weight. I would LOVE to win so I could get some new clothes. After wearing maternity clothes for the past 9 months, I’m a little behind on the trends!
I have been doing just what you describe, losing weight, but with the change in seasons and the changes in my body, I am always a few outfits short of a week. June is my time to refocus on me and some new clothes would be a perfect reward! Thanks for everything!
I’m excited to try the first workout tomorrow! And I’d love to win the Stitch Fix giveaway as I’m in need of a summer wardrobe re-vamp! My clothes have been being reused for years and need a new look ๐
I would like to win the StitchFIx credit because I feel like I struggle with my “style” so it would be interesting to see what they would send over to me based on the criteria I give them. I’m still in the works for discovering what it truly means to be me in the expression of fashion and accessories and I know it can be fun just sometimes its a drag ๐ But i don’t want it to be! haha
Thanks for everything Gina ๐
WOW! Your You Tube channel is awesome for the girl who likes to do zumba in her room..such as myself. : ) What a cool idea and so nice of your girls to set up.
So hopefully, after dancing my behind off to your youtube channel, I will need new clothes and it seems Stich Fix would be a good place to start looking.
I’m SOOO going to need a wardrobe makeover once Baby #2 makes it’s way into the world (sometime in the next 4 weeks or so)! This would be a great starting point! Thanks for sharing!
I could definitely use some new clothes! I lost 15 lbs last summer and I’ve kept it off for a full year! I’m really proud of myself! I think my success started the minute I stopped trying to look like someone else and decided to just be the healthiest version of myself.
I recently lost weight and transitioned from a corporate office job to one that’s much more lax so I could definitely use some new clothes! And I subscribed to the YouTube channel ๐
Already off track a little but looking forward to Workout 1 tomorrow!
I would love to win this giveaway. I had a baby about a month ago and am in serious need of some new clothes. I haven’t gotten to the first workout yet, but am about to after I get baby settled in for the night. Crazy schedule with a new baby. ๐
Also, I followed your Youtube channel! ๐
I’d love to win the StitchFix credit to freshen up my wardrobe. I did a big Goodwill purge this weekend and I realized I have some things on their last leg. It’s time to freshen up!
Booty is sore already. Thanks for the SSU!
I had my first baby nine months ago and for the first time in a looooong time I am starting to feel like myself again. I did the first workout this morning and literally felt like a floppy noodle when I was done!!! It was awesome. I am pumped to complete the entire summer shape up. !!!!
I would love to win because I just had our first baby and my wardrobe needs a fresh start.
Subscribed and Pinned. Thanks again!
I love Stitch Fix! I hate shopping in stores so its been the perfect thing for me. Wasn’t able to start SSU today but I’m looking forward to tomorrow based on all these comments!
Workout #1 was awesome. No “saving the gym hair” for me. I am a sweaty mess. What an amazing giveaway. Who wouldn’t want new clothes?
I just did the first workout! I do a lot of cardio (running marathons) but am excited to add some more structured workouts and strength training to my fitness routine!
I am due in just a few weeks with my second baby (I have a 20 month old as well) and right now I feel like a big beast! A new wardrobe would give me the motivation I need to get back in shape after this baby is here ๐
I would love to win and try out Stitch Fix! My friend has received 3 boxes so far and is really liking it. It would certainly be fun to have my own personal shopper. Thank you for the opportunity!
So generous gina!! Would really enjoy some stylish yet comfortable clothes so im not wearing my mom uniform of yoga pants and tshirts all the time ๐
Such a great giveaway- I’d love to update my wardrobe!
When I moved, I didn’t bring any of my old work clothes with me, and now 15 months later, I’m about to start a job and have nothing to wear (and no $$ to get new stuff!)
I would love to win because my casual clothing is in serious need of a revamp, but that’s not in the budget for me right now. Plus, I don’t think that I’ve ever won a giveaway before!
I would love to win because I love stitchfix! ๐
Work out 1 done! Looking ahead to the hill challenge, what would you recommend for someone who doesn’t have access to a treadmill?
I loved workout 1! Especially after I’ve had to take a 3 week break off any fitness because of surgery I just had, and it really made me realize (seriously) how much I take rest days and my previous fitness level for granted. It was actually a really humbling workout for me because of that. So maybe I couldn’t do everything the way I did it before, but it kicked my butt which is always a good thing:)
I flew through this mornings workout because I was late for work so I had to skip some rounds (but hey something’s better than nothing right?!) But it was great! Balance of muscle groups and I’m already feeling the effects. Looking forward to doing it again later this week when I have more time!
pinned the workout!
Subscribed to the youtube channel!
I would love to win because I am getting out of the military (after 5 years) at the end of this month and could desperately use a new wardrobe!
Woohoo! I need new clothes for work (I’ve been looking sloppy!). I’m also pinning ๐
I would love to win this! In the last year I finished school and started a new job and I’m realizing that I don’t have a lot of nice clothes! I’m trying to slowly add nicer pieces to my closet and to avoid buying any t shirts or jeans. Stitch fix would also be awesome for me because I’m one of those people who sticks with the same basic styles and colors but I really need to branch out and get more creative.
Workout 1 was a (good) killer this morning! As was this HIIT I decided to do from Fitness Blender…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dhO7S7_DW0
I would love to win this giveaway because I’ve lost some weight so lots of my clothes don’t fit anymore…and I’m going to be a poor college student starting this fall!
I also pinned the workout and subscribed to the channel:)
Thanks for everything, Gina!
I would love some new clothes! It would feel good to have some non-mommy clothes to put on my in-progress body.
Workout #1 was a sweatfest!
I’m a poor college student who would love a new look!
