When I first started my weight loss journey, I quickly realized that it was not worth it to spend money on clothes during that time. I’d go buy an outfit for work, and it would be too big before I could wear it. It may seem like a “problem that’s not really a problem,” but clothes can be costly, and it’s a waste if you don’t get to wear them. I halted the clothing purchases since I knew my size would be temporary until I reached a healthier weight. Since then, I’ve always told my training clients to minimize clothing expenses while we’re working together, and instead to use a clothes shopping spree as an awesome reward when they hit their goal.

Many of you will hit new fitness goals with the Summer Shape Up. Even if the scale doesn’t budge -muscle is more dense than fat, so you could technically weigh the same and have a lower body fat percentage- your clothes could fit you differently. Maybe you just hit a fitness goal and want to celebrate, or could use a bit of a closet overhaul.

I’d like to share my Stitch Fix credit with a few lucky winners as the first Shape Up giveaway.

Stitchfix

I have a credit with Stitch Fix from referring people to the brand over the past 6 months or so. At first, I thought it would be cool to get a discount on what I purchase from them since I love my monthly Stitch Fix box, and the credit continued to grow. I was trying to think of a good way to use it and quickly thought of the perfect solution: give back to YOU, since you’re the reason why I have a credit with them in the first place.

I emailed Stitch Fix to see if it would be possible to do a giveaway and they more than happy to help me set it up.

Today’s giveaway is $3500 of Stitch Fix credit: $500 each to seven lucky winners. That’s a lot of new clothes!

I moved last year and live 2,600 miles away from my girlfriends, so I have been shopping alone lately and have had a hard time putting together outfits without their input! I’ve been wanting to try StitchFix for a while to see what the stylists pick out for me! I could definitely use some new summer clothes.

  6. Becca on June 4, 2013 at 12:21 am

I would love to win bc I’m a mom of 3 who basically lives in sweats! A new outfit or two would be fantastic!

I need a wardrobe change for one important thing: confidence. For too long I’ve been just wearing the same things over and over (read: Target), and though sometimes it’s great, I could use a lil style.

  21. natasha on June 4, 2013 at 12:59 am

I just donated 75% of my clothes to charity so I have very few outfits left.

  22. Tina on June 4, 2013 at 1:02 am

I’m a college student, and therefore haven’t gone shopping in literally a year. Sad face. I would love to have things to be excited to wear!

Also….those jump squats killed me. My legs were jello. I loved the workout though. I was a sweaty beast doing my 20 mins of HIIT.

  23. Tina on June 4, 2013 at 1:03 am

I subscribed to your channel as well ๐Ÿ™‚

  24. jean on June 4, 2013 at 1:06 am

  25. Lauren S on June 4, 2013 at 1:06 am

  26. Rochelle on June 4, 2013 at 1:08 am

I run ALL the time, but neglect weights, this my reason for summershape up… Today killed in a great way!

  27. Sarah on June 4, 2013 at 1:11 am

Oh new clothes would be a great motivator!!

  28. Abby A on June 4, 2013 at 1:12 am

I love stitchfix! You turned me on to it- and I got it as a gift for my birthday! I wish I could order it more than once a year. I graduated less than a month ago from college with my bachelors and could really use a wardrobe revamp. Making the transition from student (for the past 7 years) to a working woman is going to be a big change- and I could use the wardrobe help. No more sweat pants and t shirts every day…darn!
I also did WO 1 today- it was awesome! I thought those bananas/supermans were going to kill me. ๐Ÿ™‚

  29. Leea on June 4, 2013 at 1:12 am

I am in progress of losing weight and is recovering from an eating disorder. I don’t want no sympathy card but I have been the happiest ever in my life right now. Thank you for always venturing out and posting delicious meals to help me with my progress! P.S. WHO DOESN’T LOVE FREE CLOTHES?!

  30. Kelsey jones on June 4, 2013 at 1:15 am

I definitely would love this because I need some new fun and stylish clothes to update my wardrobe. Since I work from home, sometimes it’s hard to justify buying cute clothes.

  31. Jeanette on June 4, 2013 at 1:25 am

I want to win because I just kick started my workout regimen recently (your videos play a part!) and my initial weight loss is already 8 lbs! It’s hard to lose weight when you’re not very overweight (I only have about 10 lbs to go), but I’m really motivated because I’m getting married in a month and going to Hawaii for two weeks after. I’ve been wanting to try stitch fix for a while but haven’t because I want to be at my goal before I invest in new clothes. This would be perfect timing!

Thanks for the great opportunity ๐Ÿ™‚

  32. Hilary on June 4, 2013 at 1:30 am

I would love to win this awesome prize. I am at the point in my life where either i buy a bunch of new bigger size clothes or I get my butt into gear and loose the weight so I can fit back into my nice smaller size clothes. I have chosen to WORK HARD and get into SHAPE!!!!

  33. Elissa on June 4, 2013 at 1:41 am

I hope they ship to Canada;) I could use a reward to work towards once I lose the rest of my baby weight!

  34. Caitlin on June 4, 2013 at 1:44 am

I pinned it, I subscribed and I would LOVE to win because I just got my first StitchFix and am obsessed!!

  35. Amanda on June 4, 2013 at 1:50 am

I would love to win this to find an outfit to meet my husband after he graduates from the Naval Officer Canidate School. I am almost 6ft tall and have the hardest times finding clothes that normally look adorable on other people only to put them on and they look like children’s clothes! He leaves in just a few short weeks and I would love to have something to keep my focus while he is gone.

  36. Alyssa on June 4, 2013 at 2:04 am

Pinned it! What an awesome giveaway!

I gained the dreaded freshman 15 (yikes!) and now I am working hard to get it off! I’m training for my first sprint distance triathlon with my best friend, following your SSU meal plans, and trying to cut out processed foods. Winning this Stitch Fix would be SO wonderful to have some new clothes for my fit new self.

Also, I’m a college student so new clothes are a rare treat ๐Ÿ™‚

  39. Alicia on June 4, 2013 at 2:21 am

New clothes are always great and necessary! ๐Ÿ™‚

  40. Kimberly on June 4, 2013 at 2:26 am

I would LOVE to win one of the Stitch Fix giveaways – I just started a full-time job and it would be great to update my wardrobe (haven’t really since college / high school…).

I would love to win. I had my 4th baby last June and I’m trying to get the last bit of weight off. My wardrobe could really use a revamp!

  45. Jennifer on June 4, 2013 at 4:48 am

I can feel my legs burning from today’s workout. Trying to get through all the weight exercises was really tough and I didn’t end up finishing, but I will make sure to work up to finishing and do more tomorrow to make up for my lack.

I would like to win the Stich Fix giveaway because I have trouble picking out clothing sometimes. Being a college student, I don’t shop a lot and malls overwhelm me. I would love for someone to suggest new brands/clothing options that I could try that are customized for me without having to spend a lot of money.

  46. Lindsey on June 4, 2013 at 5:00 am

I would love to win this because I have finally hit my goal weight and I think it would give me more confidence to have a new and improved wardrobe to match my healthier and fit body!

  47. Zoe on June 4, 2013 at 5:36 am

What an amazing giveaway! I would love to refresh my wardrobe. Doing your workouts (particularly SSU) always make me feel so strong, and strong = beautiful!! To have a closet makeover to match that feeling would be the best!!
