When I first started my weight loss journey, I quickly realized that it was not worth it to spend money on clothes during that time. I’d go buy an outfit for work, and it would be too big before I could wear it. It may seem like a “problem that’s not really a problem,” but clothes can be costly, and it’s a waste if you don’t get to wear them. I halted the clothing purchases since I knew my size would be temporary until I reached a healthier weight. Since then, I’ve always told my training clients to minimize clothing expenses while we’re working together, and instead to use a clothes shopping spree as an awesome reward when they hit their goal.
Many of you will hit new fitness goals with the Summer Shape Up. Even if the scale doesn’t budge -muscle is more dense than fat, so you could technically weigh the same and have a lower body fat percentage- your clothes could fit you differently. Maybe you just hit a fitness goal and want to celebrate, or could use a bit of a closet overhaul.
I’d like to share my Stitch Fix credit with a few lucky winners as the first Shape Up giveaway.
I have a credit with Stitch Fix from referring people to the brand over the past 6 months or so. At first, I thought it would be cool to get a discount on what I purchase from them since I love my monthly Stitch Fix box, and the credit continued to grow. I was trying to think of a good way to use it and quickly thought of the perfect solution: give back to YOU, since you’re the reason why I have a credit with them in the first place.
I emailed Stitch Fix to see if it would be possible to do a giveaway and they more than happy to help me set it up.
Today’s giveaway is $3500 of Stitch Fix credit: $500 each to seven lucky winners. That’s a lot of new clothes!
You don’t have to have a Stitch Fix account to enter and don’t necessarily have to be participating in Summer Shape Up.
If you’re unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, check out these posts about how it works.

As a mom of three I never spend money on clothes for myself. I love the idea of stitch fix because sometimes leaving the house alone to shop is a challenge!
Here’s a link to my video! (I can’t believe I’m posting this out on the interweb, ahh!) ๐ And I’ll warn you before hand, I don’t really have a wacky outfit, but I am showing you how lame my wardrobe is!

I desperately need variety!!
I would live to win this credit! I’ve been seeing stitch fix pop up on blogs and think it sounds like such a good way to mix up your looks! Would love to try it!!!!
I love Stitch Fix, thanks to your referral, and a summer Fix would be a fabulous boost to my wardrobe!
Wow what an awesome giveaway! We just moved to be closer to family and are on a very tight budget, plus with having a baby 16 months ago and having a slightly different body my clothes don’t all fit quite the way they used to. This would be an awesome way to learn how to dress my new self! ๐
Who wouldn’t love to win money to spend on cute clothes:) Stitch fix sounds very neat. I love clothes but hate shopping.
Workout #1 was so hard but great!! I’m recovering from a foot injury so my cardio was steady walking but hopefully I’ll be able to step it up by the end of the month!
Thanks for doing this Gina! ๐
Oh, wow, I’d love to win this! I’ve seen you talk about Stich Fix before, and always thought it looked awesome, but am always reluctant to try things like that (and bad about buying clothes online without knowing the brand[s] well).
I’ve already signed up for stitch fix! I’ve just been waiting for that extra $$ to roll in so I can get my first fix. Winning this giveaway would be the answers to my money prayers!
Stich Fix introduced me to my new favorite skinny jeans!! PS SSU workout 1 was killer ๐
I would love to win because I never buy clothes for myself. My kids grow so fast that they always get the clothing budget! Haha
Stitch fix! i cant wait to sign up after my pregnancy ends, would love to win for some post-baby clothes!
I would love to with Stitch Fix credit because I’ve been dying to try it! This girl could definitely use the help with picking out clothes ๐
I would love to win the Stitch Fix credit!! I hate shopping so having someone send me items sounds amazing!!!
Would love some new summer clothes!
I would love to win! I am always envious of people’s stylish clothes but never can seem to find them when I go out shopping!
Workout #1 was just what I needed. I was having a hard time finding motivation, but changing up my routine set a nice tone for the rest of the week. Can’t wait to follow through with it. A Stitch Fix credit would go nicely with this new toned body I may end up with after summer shape up! It’s so nice of you for doing these giveaways!
I could REALLY use this credit! I just finished my dietetic internship (1 year unpaid work ) and am on the job hunt and would LOVE some new clothes to wear at work! Working your butt off for no pay doesn’t leave you with much for a wardrobe fund that’s for sure!
I’m a college student so all I buy nowadays is foods and very expensive books. Being able to get a whole new wardrobe to go with my all new summer shape up body would be amazing:)
I love Stitch Fix! I am a long-time reader of your blog. It’s so nice to see how you (and I) have evolved to a more loving, healthy view on food. Even though you and I haven’t met, you write in a way that makes me see you as a friend.
all my best-

I desperately need new clothes. I just moved and, before packing up to come to our new place, I threw out a BUNCH of old stuff that no longer fit/was hideous/etc—but now I’m realizing that I don’t have enough clothes to wear to work!
I did Workout #1 this morning, and it was great! Fit perfectly into the amount of time I have at the gym, and it was nice to go knowing I had a purpose and not to go around from exercise to exercise on a whim as I usually do. ๐
I would love the Stich Fit prize! I’ve been holding off on buying clothes until I’m in my forever size. (after having my two babies)
Would love to win! Might spark me to donate some pieces I no longer wear and clean up my wardrobe a bit! Thanks for such a great giveaway.

I would love to sign up after my pregnancy ends and win some post-baby clothes!
OMG…it has been a long time since I have done a structured workout. Workout one was great but it was kicking my butt!! Loved it!
I would love new clothes!!
I mixed and matched the cardio, moving my intervals to Tuesday and doing steady state cardio on Monday.
I was a bit over-ambitious and used my half pood kettlebell for the dumbbell swing.
I’m starting a new job soon and my wardrobe needs a major overhaul!! Excited about
Summer Shape Up!
The giveaway looks amazing!
I recently lost weight/changed my body shape and had to essentially start over with my wardrobe…this would be great because I’m definitely not a stylist ๐
I have had 5 weddings to attend to this year so far! so as you can imagine, budget for clothes is currently on hold. I would love a new spring wardrope ๐
What you said about waiting to buy clothes really rings true with me – I’ve been wanting to use Stitch Fix has a reward for getting to a better size, but it just hasn’t happened for me yet. I had a rough spring workout wise – getting my wisdom teeth out ended up being a major disruption. I’m hoping Summer Shape Up will get me back in the groove, and I can definitely feel it in my shoulder blades and my legs this morning after doing the first workout! I’m looking forward to working again towards that target!
I just graduated college and will be entering the job force soon. I need to start getting big girl clothes!
That is an awesome giveaway. I would love to win, I am working towards losing the baby weight from baby 1 and baby two. It would be nice to have some new clothes as a reward.
Being a mom I find it hard to find the time to go out and buy clothes! I would love to try Stitch Fix! Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love to try Stitch Fix, I need some new clothes as I have recently lost quite a few pounds. My daughter and I are doing the summer shapeup together, thanks for doing this.
I am beginning to build a new wardrobe after purging clothes in a big move. I am also beginning my career with a new company and a fresh wardrobe would really boost my confidence!
PS. That workout is a killer ๐
Would love to add to wardrobe! Just had a baby and things fit funny! Looking forward to the next workout!
I need a new wardrobe now that I’m back to my pre-preggo weight!
I would love a credit. I need to get out of my gray, black and white habit.
Oh my goodness… I already left a comment to enter the giveaway, but had to stop back after doing SSU last night. Girl, you left me shaking! My hair was drenched and my face was beet red when I got home from the gym. My husband even commented that he hadn’t seen me like that in a long time! haha I guess I’d gotten in a workout rut, and am excited to be a part of SSU!
I am currently 37 weeks pregnant and have been an ardent follower of your blog for a few years now. I’m really enjoying your pregnancy posts from last year and look forward to following in your heathly footsteps when I’m able to workout again once the baby is born. This giveaway would be a wonderful gift to receive since I’ll be working towards a new weightloss goal this summer and would be a fun way to celebrate reaching my goals!
I recently started a new job and could use a wardrobe update! I’ve also started SSU for the first time and really enjoyed workout 1. It pushed me out of my usual gym routine.
Recovering from workout #1 this morning! I would love to have Stitch Fix hook me up with some cute clothes for my “big girl” job in corporate America. I need some excitement and color in my boring beige cube! haha
Although I didn’t get a chance to try to workout yesterday, today is the day! And $500 to Stitch Fix would be HEAVEN! Love their stuff!
