When I first started my weight loss journey, I quickly realized that it was not worth it to spend money on clothes during that time. I’d go buy an outfit for work, and it would be too big before I could wear it. It may seem like a “problem that’s not really a problem,” but clothes can be costly, and it’s a waste if you don’t get to wear them. I halted the clothing purchases since I knew my size would be temporary until I reached a healthier weight. Since then, I’ve always told my training clients to minimize clothing expenses while we’re working together, and instead to use a clothes shopping spree as an awesome reward when they hit their goal.

Many of you will hit new fitness goals with the Summer Shape Up. Even if the scale doesn’t budge -muscle is more dense than fat, so you could technically weigh the same and have a lower body fat percentage- your clothes could fit you differently. Maybe you just hit a fitness goal and want to celebrate, or could use a bit of a closet overhaul.

I’d like to share my Stitch Fix credit with a few lucky winners as the first Shape Up giveaway.

Stitchfix

I have a credit with Stitch Fix from referring people to the brand over the past 6 months or so. At first, I thought it would be cool to get a discount on what I purchase from them since I love my monthly Stitch Fix box, and the credit continued to grow. I was trying to think of a good way to use it and quickly thought of the perfect solution: give back to YOU, since you’re the reason why I have a credit with them in the first place.

I emailed Stitch Fix to see if it would be possible to do a giveaway and they more than happy to help me set it up.

Today’s giveaway is $3500 of Stitch Fix credit: $500 each to seven lucky winners. That’s a lot of new clothes!

I would love to win!! I have a 20 month old and haven’t really bought myself new clothes since being pregnant. I basically live in workout clothes. Love your blog, so inspiring!

  7. Ashley V on June 4, 2013 at 10:21 am

I’d love to win because I’m working hard to lose weight, and I just can’t justify getting a lot of new pieces before I reach the end goal. This would be a great way to pick up a few new things without breaking the bank. Also, first work out-it hurts so good. I was nervous I would wake up unable to do day 2, but mercifully I was able to do day 2 before work!

  8. Kelly on June 4, 2013 at 10:22 am

Holy cow, I would love to win! We are an Army family, so with all the moving my job situation as been less than ideal. I have cutback seriously on shopping for myself because of this and realized most of my clothes are 5+ years old. We are finally settled in a place for a few years, so I’m trying to get back into my career working in research labs. New clothes would definitely help with all the interviewing!

  9. Michelle on June 4, 2013 at 10:26 am

I could definitely use a wardrobe makeover! I hate figuring out what to wear to work every morning…

  10. Laura Johnson on June 4, 2013 at 10:35 am

Love Stitchfix but so pricy! I have a beautiful infinity scarf so far but everything is quite $$$… Credit would be awesome!

      Oops pricey ๐Ÿ˜‰

  11. Sandy on June 4, 2013 at 10:39 am

Workout 1 was awesome (my schedule has me doing these a day behind on the calendar to accommodate the yoga class I like to take) – it left me sweaty and my muscles WORKED!

  12. Aubrey on June 4, 2013 at 10:43 am

What a generous giveaway!!! I completed the first workout yesterday…YIKES! Workout 1 was INTENSE!!! I tried to take advantage of my time while my little guy (3 months old) was taking his nap. I’m surprised I didn’t wake him up with my grunting while trying to do workout 1 (the banana nearly took me out hahaha). I immediately followed with a 20 minute HIIT from fitnessblender.com and thought I was going to collapse. My legs were complete jell-o! Today I have that awesome sore feeling in my thighs that I’ve been missing! 30 minute run with the jogger and my dog today at the park…HERE WE COME!! SSU!!!!

  13. kellye on June 4, 2013 at 10:44 am

I would love to win because I don’t really like to shop (every once in awhile I am in the mood) and all the clothes you post look so cute!

  14. cheryl on June 4, 2013 at 10:50 am

Such a smart idea! I really enjoy following your blog and your innovative workouts.
    Keeps me motivated and sore:)

  15. Ann on June 4, 2013 at 10:58 am

Thank you for the giveaway. I would love to win the gift card. I love their stripped shirts and jewelry.

  16. Maria on June 4, 2013 at 11:01 am

SSU workout #1 was tough! I could only do two rounds of the super sets. I’d love the Stitch Fix as I’m making a huge transition from a classroom teacher to starting a PhD program this fall. My work wardrobe is going to take a rest, but I don’t have many cute casual clothes.

  17. Michelle on June 4, 2013 at 11:03 am

I did Workout #1 over my lunch hour yesterday…great workout!

  18. Nicole F. on June 4, 2013 at 11:04 am

Behind a day because of weekend workouts (Monday was a rest day) but loved loved Workout 1! And the emphasis on lean muscle is fantastic. My hope is to really increase my upper body strength and complete push-ups with ease : )

  19. kristina on June 4, 2013 at 11:06 am

What a fabulous giveaway! I would love to win because I’ve been dying to try Stitch Fix, but unfortunately do not have room in the budget for new clothes at the moment. Oh, and btw, the first workout was KILLER! I was very pleasantly surprised. Thanks for doing this!

  20. Kathleen on June 4, 2013 at 11:07 am

So excited about this giveaway! I always need help with style!

  21. Peggy on June 4, 2013 at 11:09 am

I would LOVE to win this! I’ve reached my goal weight after having baby #2 in January, all of the clothes I’d actually wear are too big now, and with 2 babies under 2, I don’t have time to shop for or style myself but would love to look fashionable. ๐Ÿ™‚

  22. Ashley on June 4, 2013 at 11:12 am

Workout 1 was more than I bargained for, honestly. Loved the intensity though!

  23. Priscilla on June 4, 2013 at 11:14 am

This is so ridiculously generous of you! I’ve been doing Stitchfix for a few months now, and I LOVE it! About 7 years ago, I lost 45 pounds using extreme and unsustainable methods. Of course, I was PUMPED to fill my wardrobe with cute clothes in a size that I didn’t even look healthy in. I eventually gained about 15 of those pounds back, and after YEARS of trying to lose that weight and fit back into those clothes, I. Just. Stopped. About 6 months ago, I realized that I was happier, healthier, and stronger than I had ever been in my entire life. I need to buy cute clothes for the beautiful body that I am blessed with RIGHT NOW. And winning some Stitchfix credit would definitely help! ๐Ÿ™‚

  24. Michelle on June 4, 2013 at 11:15 am

I definitely need this! I just finished school and need a wardrobe overhaul for my first new job. And I loved workout 1- my thighs are killing me today!

  25. Katie on June 4, 2013 at 11:18 am

Workout #1 seemed simple enough, but it left me a sweaty mess at the end! Very refreshing and looking forward to doing it again!

  26. Jacquelyn @ justjacq on June 4, 2013 at 11:20 am

OMG workout 1 was INSANE! I had to pep talk myself the entire time to finish it. particularly on those tricep dips. Wowzers. And now today my shoulders and bum are so sore! I instagrammed and tweeted some updates. Love this!

  27. Brittney L on June 4, 2013 at 11:21 am

This would be amazing. I hate shopping and it is obvious to those around me ๐Ÿ™‚ It would be so nice to have some great outfits for going out so I don’t look like the 80 year old lady!

  28. Erin W on June 4, 2013 at 11:25 am

    AMAZING giveaway!

  29. gina on June 4, 2013 at 11:32 am

I did workout one last night and it was awesome! I could use a few new pieces to my wardrobe. I looked I’m my closet this morning and I realized i have nothing to wear! Thanks for the workouts and the giveaways both are amazing!

  30. Anne Hartman on June 4, 2013 at 11:46 am

  33. Danielle on June 4, 2013 at 11:49 am

Would love to get a box of clothing each month to try out. I literally live in the middle of nowhere! It is over 60 miles to the closest Target, much less some great clothing sotres! Needless to say, I don’t get shopping nearly enough, so this would be a great solution!

  34. Rebecca on June 4, 2013 at 11:50 am

I could really use a new wardrobe! I also loved workout 1…I was definitely sweaty by the end!

  35. Marissa on June 4, 2013 at 11:50 am

I would love to win a new wardrobe! While The numbers on the scale have gone down to my pre-baby weight I’ve found that my body has just changed and nothing fits quite like it used to. I’ve been wanting to try stich fix as its hard to find the time to shop with a busy eight month old. I’ve never one a giveaway before and this one would be perfect!

  45. Courtney on June 4, 2013 at 12:05 pm

  48. Rachel on June 4, 2013 at 12:11 pm

I did workout 1 last night! I was a sweaty mess and I’m a little sore today but in a good way!

I’ve really liked the things that you’ve received from Stitch Fix. I would love to see what they would send me!

  49. Arielle Folio on June 4, 2013 at 12:12 pm

Stitchfix is the bestttt! I want to win because I recently moved and donated a LOT of old clothing. Now, looking at my closet, EVERYTHING IS NAVY OR WHITE. Stitchfix, help me!

  50. Blake @ Blake Bakes on June 4, 2013 at 12:20 pm

I feel like that time in most girl’s lives when they develop a sense of style, around 13-15, I was a wannabe punk rocker. I just dressed in all black and it wasn’t cute. When I grew out of it, I never really knew how to get into fashion/style. So my wardrobe is pretty boring. I don’t think I own more than 2 tops that aren’t solid colors. I definitely need a Stitch Fix!
