Starstruck
Humpday! I always look forward to the weekend, and even more so now that the Pilotโs been back to work. I like hanging out with him ๐
This morningโs bfast was the last of nanaโs egg casserole
(Iโll ask her for the recipe- quite a few friends have asked for it)
with tea and toast
+ an oatie
and Iโm heading off to a doc appt (1 month checkup!) with Livi.
While Iโm driving around, I usually listen to Zumba music or podcasts. One of the podcasts I listen to regularly is the Jillian Michaels podcast, which is interesting because Iโve never been a huge JM fan. And then, I started listening to her podcast and her personality is entirely different than the one she portrays on TV. She actually seems almost likeable- she discusses fantastic topics and is always kind and gracious to the listeners who call in.
In the grand scheme of celebrity trainers (and there are quite a few nutty ones out there), she isnโt the worst, but of course, there are quite a few out there that I would personally love to work out with. Iโve talk about all of my faves here on the blog: Chalene Johnson โTurbofire is one of my all-time favorite workouts- Zuzana Light, who used to do the BodyRock workouts but is now doing ZWOW workouts on YouTube. I also love Shawn T from Insanity and the Physique 57 girls.
One of the trainers I havenโt talked about much is Gunnar Peterson:
That photo was taken at the G Fit partyโฆ I was totally starstruck when I saw him, and of course, didnโt say anything because I didnโt want to be a goober.
Gunnar is known for training Angelina Jolie, Sophia Vergara and Jennifer Lopez. I like his functional style of training and he seems genuine.
Have you ever seen someone you admire and chickened out of saying something?
Met someone famous?
I was so excited to meet Ani Phyo and then all I could say was โI love your donut holes.โ Nice.
Hope you have a great day!
xoxo

Nanaโs egg casserole looks devine, can’t wait to see the recipie ๐
I agree, I half of the time agree with JM and then, how she is on TV… I am turned off?? Not so sure why but I am.
I love Gunnar. He is so on it.
I love Valerie Waters too, I have had the pleasure to meet with her a few times. She trains everyone in Hollywood!
โI love your donut holes.โ =Awesome!
I have always been a fan of Jillian Michaels even though I assumed that she was tough, assertive and not very nice as she was on television. However, I met her on her fitness cruise a couple of years ago and she is the sweetest person. She’s also quite petite as well. Her work outs, however, were tough, just like on television.
I saw the Turbofire set at a used book/music store last week. It was $49.99, and although it was an awesome price, I didn’t want to spend that much on a whim. I researched Turbofire throughout the past week and decided to get the set. I called the store today to see if they still have it, and they said it is on hold for someone else. They will only hold it for this person through Feb. 14, so maybe it will be a Valentine’s Day miracle for me! I am excited to give it a try. My body seems to respond better to HIIT than anything else, so I am hoping this is a program I will be motivated to stick with!
hope you get it, and love it!
Did you purchase Turbo Fire, or did you get it some other way? I think I would love it- but I don’t want to buy it!
Yes, I bought it. Worth every penny ๐
My favorite celebrity that I’ve met is Kelly Clarkson. She is one of the most genuine, gracious, and kind people ever! ๐
Chalene Johnson is coming to my town next week and giving a free workout! WOOHOO! And not sure if you know this or not but she has a gym version of Turbo Fire—-Turbo Kick. You should totally become an instructor for it! Not to mention her PiYo format which is AMAZING!!!
