Two becomes three

We’re spending our last morning in Vegas before hopping on a plane back to Tucson… let’s see what last-minute shenanigans we get into 😉
In the meantime, I’m really excited to share some fun news with you.
During our last video, we let ya know that we’ve been wanting to get a baby goat.
It would be a great friend for Bella, we had a name picked out (Greta!!), and were anxious to build it its own area in our new backyard.
We found out our homeowner’s association would not allow a goat (wahh!!), the Pilot went back to Valdosta to finish up work before moving to Tucson, and I decided I was going to get a puppy instead.
My mom took me to the Humane Society and we picked one out…

but something in my heart was telling me to wait.
That’s because I was pregnant already, and had no idea <3
So that my friends, is why my appetite has been all over the place
(Beans with mustard and romaine.. that’s one of the tamer combos I’ve come up with, haha)
why I’ve nixed the wine and cocktails in favor of mocktails
(peach puree with lime juice and club soda = fantastic)
stopped doing Bodyrock (which I miss like crazy!) and teaching Dance Trance- I didn’t want to overdo it with DT and teaching at the resort, but I’d like to start up again after the baby is born. 
I’ve fallen in love with the Snoogle pillow
(Sore hips are pretty much gone!)

and my heart couldn’t be happier that the Pilot is here with me the entire time and that we get to share this together.
Having him in the room to hold my hand as we heard the baby’s heartbeat for the first time is a moment that I will never, ever forget <3

(I’ll be 10 weeks this Wednesday… keeping it a secret this long has been ROUGH, but many of you guessed already)
The blog is going to stay exactly the same and won’t be turning into a pregnancy/baby/family blog. I understand that pregnancy is an uncomfortable subject for many to read about, and also know that some of you have no interest in it at all, and that’s beyond cool. See the Family tab at the top?? All of my pregnancy-related posts will go there- I’ve actually been writing posts this entire time and should have them up there by tonight, tomorrow at the latest.
Thank you so much for sticking around with me through all of the crazy twists and turns in my life.. it’s a fun adventure, for sure 🙂

Me too! Due the 19th of January! And I have only told a few since Im almost 8 weeks and am going to wait until 12-13 weeks to tell. It is SO hard to keep the secret!

PS-Your recent “focus on” post finally inspired me to try Bikram yoga, which I’ve been wanting to do for a while, but to intimidated to. I’m now hooked! I immediately got a 10 class pass and plan to go twice a week a run 3 times a week. I’m even going this afternoon! You were right about there being a type of yoga for everyone 🙂

I have been lurking for about 3 weeks, but I just had to jump in here and say congrats! I am an OR nurse in Orlando. I do ALOT of work with fertility specialists, so anytime someone gets pregnant I can’t help but get totally excited! Hope things continue to go great for you guys and the peanut! Wow, could I use a few more exclamation points? Sorry, caffeine with lunch is never a good idea for me. 😉

I said the same thing when I got pregnant on my blog. I wouldn’t turn into into baby central. However. I found people LOVED reading about it the most…my blog tripled in hits –not that yours could get any MORE popular 😉
I am sure you have a huge support system but if you have ANY questions let me know! I am not an expert by any means but just had a baby 4 weeks ago and I said from the first time I read your blog how similar we were it was crazy (fitness trainer, philosophy, goat cheese lover, etc). I tracked everything from my first trimester on. I remember the little kidney bean ultrasound! Embrace EVERY moment of your pregnancy. it goes fast—-except for the last 3 weeks, haha. I slowed down A LOT too when I was in my first tri…I was super scared to over do it. You can still do a lot more but just listen to your body. I was EXHAUSTED in my first trimester. Like have you seen Duece Bigalo Male Gigalo…I was like the girl with Narcolepsy. Couldn’t keep my eyes open!!!

I knew it, I knew it!!! I have been holding myself here to not ask you if you were pregnant since you started talking about the weird appetite (I was afraid to make you feel uncomfortable in case you were not pregnant).
Congratulations, these are the most amazing news one can get!! Being a mom myself I can tell you that having a baby is one of the most amazing things that can ever happen, I enjoyed every day, every change that came along with my pregnancy and I love being a mom more than anything in the world. I love every second of being a mom, I enjoy my son to the most every day (and he is 9 already!!). It is the most rewarding thing ever. I am so excited for you and the pilot! Congrats and take care!!!
