Week of giveaways: Final Giveaway- ENDED
This week has been pretty much amazeballs. Thank you again to everyone for participating, sending blog love, and for your kind and wonderful comments. I’m truly lucky to *know* all of you, and am also grateful to the companies who generously sponsored the week of giveaways.
Congratulations to the Home Goods giveaway winner!
Mary:
“I LOVE the poppy flower wall decals in my kitchen. They do a great job brightening up the space.”
Please send me your info (fitnessista at gmail dot com, subject: HOME GOODS WINNER!) and I’ll get your prize on the way 🙂
Today’s giveaway, the final one, is sponsored by one of my all-time favorite workout companies, along with Livi and Bella.
I fell in love with Physique 57 two years ago, and if we had a studio in Tucson, it would be one of my regular workout spots. Nothing has made my thighs thighs and biscuits burn quite like P57. I’m so glad they have DVDs you can do at home if you don’t have a studio near you, and I’ve done the DVDs quite a few times in addition to the usual workout suspects. I see and feel a huge difference when I have P57 in my life, and anytime I’m in NY or LA I’m excited to take a live class.
The winner of this giveaway will receive a volume 2 Physique 57 DVD, courtesy of Physique 57,
and will also win a Polar FT40 heart rate monitor, which I’ll order for you,
plus a batch of custom macaroons (chocolate, mocha, blonde, super roon with cacao nibs and goji berries, or Meyer-lemon lavender)
and whatever Whole Foods/TJs goodies find their way into the box 😉
I absolutely love my Polar heart rate monitor and wear it for all of my high-intensity workouts. Since I know how much I’m burning, I can get an idea of how much more I need to eat that day, and I always push myself a little harder when I can see how hard I’m working. It’s a fantastic workout tool and was even more helpful while I was pregnant, so I knew not to let my heart rate get too crazy high.
-With the Summer Shape Up beginning this week, this giveaway will end on FRIDAY, 6/15.
This giveaway has ended! Congratulations to the winner, Natalie.
This is my favorite giveaway so far the DVDs and the polar monitor are some things I have wanted for a very long time but I could never afford them on my own! There are sooo many reasons I have been reading this blog for the past four years but mainly because you offer so much variety! I love the Focus On post, they may be my favorite and I go back to them frequently whenever I’m deciding to try a new fitness class or DVD. I’m only 21 but I love the family post because I take of a baby full time, and you have been very helpful! I would like to see more videos! Things like how to’s (more hair ideas please!) , product reviews, fitness challenges/ quick workout videos. Hope this helps
Thank you so much to all of you for your amazing feedback, comments and sweet wishes. I’m so fortunate to have you in my life, and stay tuned for many more giveaways!
Thank you all so much for reading my little blog and for hanging out with me over here <3
Here’s to another amazing year!
xoxo
I love all of your recipes and work out reviews!
Well the blog is already so great. My biggest wishlist would be more home workouts.. and maybe a quick variation listed on gym moves, so that those of us working out at home will know a good way to improvise. 🙂

I really like your “focus on” posts. More recipes would be great, but overall, I really enjoy reading your blog.
I like your Focus On posts and posts with specific workout plans! Meg seems really adorable but I’m not sure I’m digging the fashion posts. I just tend to like blogs that specialize more, you know? But maybe that’s just me! 😛 I pinned your 10 ways to lunge post on Pinterest- love at home workouts!
I love your food pictures and recipes! THanks!
I just love reading your blog all together, I would have to say your positive outlook is always great to read….. And extra pictures of Bella is always a plus!
Oh, I would love a heart rate monitor! I have been elliptically lately due to a running injury 🙁 and get so frustrated with the heart rate monitors not working/taking forever to show up. I like when you link to interesting news articles, etc. and your inspirational quotations – so I hope you will keep posting these 🙂
I love and would love to see more of family talk and insights and outside gym activities/ work outs
I would love to see more recipes based on affordable and seasonal produce. I sometimes struggle to create healthy meals on the cheap because produce in AZ can be pretty expensive especially when buying organic. Awesome giveaway Gina!
I love your family page posts and recipes. Meal plans would be an awesome addition. And what does the Fitnessista use for soap, lotion, hair care, baby care, Bella care etc…? Enquiring minds want to know 🙂 Keep up your fantastic work!
I love your blog! I recently discovered it and have been enjoying the workouts, recipes and random “tips.” I’d love to see more recipes because the ones I’ve made from you are awesome! Also, I’d love a post about your fave TJ products. I shop there all the time and always love to find new items there 🙂

Overall, I love the blog, but more recipes would be great! Also, a more organized, updated fitness section.
these giveaways just keep getting better and better! a physique 57 DVD would be amazing to throw into my bag of tricks for post-baby weight loss – I have a feeling at-home workouts are going to be key. hopefully I get the green light next Thursday!!
as far as blog feedback, I think you’re doing a fantastic job. my personal favorite is the family page just because I am about 4 months behind you so everything on there has been so relevant for me to read. I bookmarked many of those pages to go back and read once I got to that milestone in my pregnancy. LOVE. more recipes would be awesome. I’m not really a follow-the-recipe kind of girl, but getting inspiration and ideas from other people’s recipes always leads me down a fun path in the kitchen. 🙂
I pinned the breakfast cookie dough cereal. I finally tried it for the first time last week and literally had it 5 days in a row haha: http://pinterest.com/pin/78179743501851217/

Keep on doing your thing with this little blog….its FANTASTIC! <3
I especially love workouts that don’t involve any extra equipment and fun, quick meals! Both crucial for a busy student 🙂
Leave a comment with some blog feedback – what do you love? What changes would you like to see? What would you like to see more/less of in the next year?
I really enjoy the food posts. I have no imagination when it comes to salads so seeing how you combine things I’d never think to.combine keeps me from getting bored with leafy greens 🙂
I feel like your blog has been improving over time, and I don’t know if the improvements are related to feedback or from you growing and maturing as a blogger, but you should keep doing what you’re doing.
If it makes a difference to you, and in the spirit of using your finance degree, maybe if the income stream from this blog is sufficient, start a separate mommie blog devoted to your readers who love family updates.
It may seem excessive, but I really would love to see you grow your brand a bit and step up in terms of entrepreneurship.
I feel that as women, we really need to encourage each other not for a job well done, but also to step out and grow and never settle for anything less than Oprah status.
I hope you don’t take offense, I really do enjoy your blog!
This is sweet! I love this blog, if I were to add one thing, more adventurous recipes and beauty tips!
I really enjoy your blog. I have been in a fitness slump for about a month now. I am getting some inspiration from your blog. I would like to see more recipes. I get in food ruts as well.
What a great giveaway. I love that you have a great mixture of workout ideas and food ideas. I like to see your interesting salad combinations and would love to see even more recipes.
I love having Meg in the fashion section! She doesn’t post as frequently as I’d like on Sentimental Heart 😉

Since I’ve started to read your blog (only a couple of months ago – I’m a newbie) I’ve been inspired to mix it up and try new things. With diet and fitness and activities. I’ve been a devoted runner for years now, and I’m finding that I really want to explore other fitness options (including Zumba! I’ve never tried it…) to avoid more running injuries, have a higher level of fitness and not get bored. I tend to get stuck in ruts – with food, with activities and the like – and your blog entries keep me on my toes! Soo, I’m not quite sure what I’d like to see more of since I’m still catching up! So far, so good 🙂 In a nutshell, I like that YOU are constantly mixing up your blog focus (food, workouts, family stuff, life stuff, fashion, etc.), and that you always manage to make me laugh. Thanks, Gina!
I’ve picked up loads of tips about new superfoods and unusual food and drink items on your blog – would love to see more of these featured!
Well done on all you have achieved so far.
I love seeing new recipes!
I like that you provide workouts that can be done without a gym. I only have access to a small gym area, so it’s not exactly “fully” equipped-and I don’t have the spare cash to spend a ton on extra equipment :). I also think that the more interactive blogs are, the better…but that’s just me 🙂
I’d love to see more reviews!
I love your blog! I really enjoy the family posts and would love to see more recipes.
Tweeted my love!
This is amazing!! As far as the blog goes I always love seeing your recipes. I find any gym tips really useful too, especially the background knowledge on how different exercises work, etc. I’ve learned so much from this blog!
I love your work-out music choices! I am always looking for fun, get you going music. Since I am so far from the states, it is often difficult to keep up with current music. And of course, I love the pictures of your angel!
Keep up the great work!
rorey
I love all of the food that you post! You inspired me to start soaking my oats overnight. Also, I’ve curled my hair for the first time thanks to your instructional video. I would like it to be easier to go through all of your past of entries, and word prefer a previous entries button to the current summary blocks it gives.
Fingers crossed! I love workout DVDs:)
I really love all the aspects of your website. I love the family section, I’m going to use it as a reference one day for myself! So inspiring that you kept up your fitness during pregnancy, and so much useful information is found on there. I would like to know what you suggest to your clients when they don’t necessarily like many veggies or fruit. Is there a way you recommend to prepare food to taste better, or how do you approach that?
I love all your posts with Livi in them! I have a 10 month little girl, so I live getting tips from other new moms.
I love your blog .period. It is fab.
Your healthy recipes and workouts are my fave parts about it:).
Xxx
I’d love to see more personal posts – I find them very interesting.
Your family posts are so sweet, I really enjoy them.
Hey Gina, I’d love to see more posts on how you balance your responsibilities as a military wife with motherhood and your career. I also think it’d be fun to see more posts about military life in general— maybe something like “How I’ve Survived the First 5 Years [or however long it’s been] as a military wife” or “Things I didn’t know until I became a military wife” or “Top 10 things I love/hate about my husband’s job” As a fellow military wife, I love reading about how other women handle this. 🙂
More his/her recipes and focus on! However, the blog is already great! 🙂
I love every aspect of your blog, but especially any posts about your family and personal life. Fitnessista.com has been really insprational to me, in that you’ve taught me to really appreciate and respect my body. Congrats on your anniversary!
-Leave a comment with some blog feedback – what do you love? What changes would you like to see? What would you like to see more/less of in the next year?
I’ve been following your blog since you were in Valdosta. Reading that you came from AZ struck a familiarity note with me as I moved to North Phoenix for work alone and you were in a similar situation while the pilot was deployed. I love love love the fact that you, the pilot, and livi incorporate so much of your personal lives on here because i feel that it gives me hope in happiness and shows that everyone has good days, bad days, inspirational days, and relax and sit back days. Also, as little as it is, I really like the ‘think about’/’just for kicks’/ random knowledge links/ etc etc little snippets at the bottom of some blog posts. Just enough randomness to kick it up a notch 😉
I’d like to see more posts about motivation and what keeps you going. Maybe something that you employ at work with the guests that you can share with us? I’m always scrounging pintrest or quotes (as cheesy as that sounds) for little motivator tips and tricks/ stuff to reflect on whether it be life focused or fitness focused.
I love everything about your website but I truly love the way you show us how to incorporate whole foods into our lives and you even have a recipe page that helps us put it into practice ourselves. I became a vegetarian for ethical reasons 14 months ago. I was at a loss on what to cook (I was raised the typical American way) so I went to google and looked up vegetarian and healthy websites. Yours was one of the first ones I found. I looked around and liked what I saw. Then I came back the next day, and the next and the next. Now I check your site every day and not only have you helped me get my eating more balanced, you’ve introduced me to so many new ways of exercising and keeping the body moving. Many thanks to you!
Awesome giveaway. Your blog has really helped me to lead a healthier lifestyle because you lead by example! I love your positive outlook and really love your workouts because they’re always guaranteed to be schweaty!
I love recipes and the “family” section. Maybe some workout videos? I always find the print-outs a little intimidating!
I love your family posts. I also like reading about zumba, because I’d love to try it. I’d love to see more recipes that are not smoothies or salads, for example breakfast recipes.
I pinned your ”cereal” recipe: http://pinterest.com/pin/224124518926417877/
I LOVE the ‘Focus on:’ blogs because I’m always looking to try new and creative ways of working out. I would also like to see more vegetarian recipes. Keep the good work up!!!!!
I absolutely love your blog, it’s become my part of my top favorites 🙂 I’d definitely loved to more breakfast recipes and maybe a post of what type of music you listen to while working out!
I love your blog 🙂 I am currently travelling overseas to Australia from Canada for 4 months and I still make the time everyday to read your blog 🙂 I love your recipe page , your eats are very similar to my own so even basic fast recipes such as protein fluff have spiced up my food life lol. I would love to see more recipes fast and easy 🙂 I dont think any thing needs to be changed 🙂
Hi Gina,
I’ve been following your blog for just over a year now, and have been hooked ever since! Ive loved hearing all of your news and new family forming, but my favourite bit about the blog is all your food and fitness ideas.
I had to enter this as physique 57 isn’t available over the pond here and would love to give it a go, and a cheeky new heart rate monitor has been on my wish list for a while now to see how hard my ticker is working during workouts!
Happy blogiversary 🙂
Laura xx
p.s. I’ve pinned your “10 ways to lunge” and “20 stability ball workouts” because I couldn’t choose which one I like more!!
